    Fantastical world

This is by far my favourite type of dream. It began with myself and a troupe of men returning from WWI (including tom), although I cannot remember the battlefield. Leaving our posts, we arrived back home at a camp on the top of a mountain. The place was not very large, about 50 feet across, and was beautifully round, with sparse trees for shade. The ground was covered in soft pine needles and the view down the mountain was outrageously beautiful.

What happened next though was amazing, and is the best part of my brain. I found videogames in one of the small round huts in the oasis. The first game I opened was completely from my imagination and it was simply beautiful. It took place in the same setting as my 'reality' yet was much more simplistic. The art style was lower poly than my own world and coloured in beautiful pastel. The game seemed to have no clear end goal although I knew a journey of epic proportions was ahead of me. I set out to find myself a group of companions. There seemed to be few that were intelligent, but I gained many mooks on my way who would defend me with swords and such. At one point I found two twin rabbit men, who had pistols. Yet as soon as we stopped to rest, a monolithic mother-beast made of vines and stone tore the mountain apart we were on and killed the rabbits, leaving me with nothing.

At this point I left the game and returned to the oasis. We encountered a bunch of new recruits who had stayed here while we were at war, and they were just leaving to go to WWII. I happily volunteered, just so they wouldn't bother trying to recruit me and would forget. They were mostly children, and were led by some very zen dude who reminded me of a kindergarten teacher in the way he spoke and moved.

Eventually I tried many times to re enter the game, but every time the monster would destroy my friends. I gave up. Then I awoke.
