    1. Trying to remember - Childhood Dreams

I still have faint memories of many dreams from ages 5 until my current dreams at age 20. So since I'm starting this dream journal I'm going to try to conjure up some memories. I didn't realize it until several years ago, but I've always sort of been a lucid dreamer, just not well practiced.

I had many nightmares growing up which I became lucid in and instead of realizing I could change what was happening in the dream world I would either just blink and wake up or continue with the dream which never really ended well. I would often wake up unable to move and with mild visual and auditory hallucinations still happening around me which I now realize was some sort of sleep paralysis. Haven't had that since I was 13 or so though.

One of my most unpleasant dreams I had recurring from my earliest years until I was probably 11 I always knew was a dream, but had no control and was just as terrifying as if it were real. Basically the gist of it or all I remember is being uncontrollably drawn down to my (unfinished all cement(walls and floors)) basement even knowing it was sure doom. Turning the corner into the second room I got sucked into the corner into some form of the fetal position and couldn't breathe. In an instant I see some sort of figure by the water heater and in the same moment the force is right there on me in an evil way and I woke up.

Another recurring dream i remember less about was also basically lucid, but again uncontrolled by me. I float around the house I lived quite rapidly trying to get away from something that is following me and I wake up in terror. I used to know all the details of this one, but it's been awhile. I remember it had a dark purplish-red filter and was 1st and 3rd person at the same time.

I remember other dreams too, but so vaguely now that it might not be worth posting yet.
