Non-Dream/non-lucid/lucid/lucid dream within a dream
Just a couple of things that inform the dream
1) I just watched The Matrix for the the first time prior to sleeping
2) My Finals are in two days
Inside the Matrix and other places
Whoa - what a way to start the night. I become lucid immediately, even sans-reality checks. I look around and I'm in a large concrete pit that is separated by a ladder into two floors, (In the pit and not-in the pit). Before I can take stock of myself in the dream I am hurriedly rushed along by two DCs and am told that "they" have found us and that I need to run. Sure enough just around the corner come the possessed humans from the matrix; I hide behind the corner just as they make it into the open space. They yell out that "I can't hide anymore" and that they "always find who they want." This freaks me out a considerable amount to the end that I lose more lucidity, but I still have enough to recognize that I can bend reality. I tell the DCs I'm with that we don't need to worry, because I can bend the bullets away from us and back towards the enemies. They are considerably afraid when I tell them this because they obviously are unaware that we are in a dream. This takes away even more of my confidence in my lucidity which can't bode very well in the long run. The two enemies fire towards the corner we are hiding behind and the bullets curve around the room so that they are headed right towards us. I quickly try to freeze time, but I'm so shocked that I can actually freeze time that I lose concentration and I am hit by a bullet losing all lucidity.
The other bullet that was fired hits the other DC I am with which prompts him to tell me to run and save myself. I take off through the door we are standing next to, (not sure why we didn't do that in the first place), and find myself in a library similar to my school's. I rush through the rows of books and eventually come out the exit onto the quad. I look around and see that it's orientation night all over again and I'm supposed to be saying hello to all of my teachers. I first notice a train station like building and rush over to it. Once I open the doors and rush down the stairs into the train platform I am told that this is the entrance tot he theatre building; I then realize that I don't take theatre anymore and run out to the quad. When I exit I notice my parents on the steps of the library and rush over to them; they tell me that I should go to the music hall, because I'd be great at music, (or something like that). I agree and then go to a building to the left of the library and walk up the large flight of steps that leads to the music building, open the doors and find myself in a deserted auditorium. the whole auditorium looks like a local theatre, but on finding it empty I run out. I then run down the the train station to repeat the theatre confusion again, (not sure why, but whatever). After that I rush back the music building to find George Lopez conducting the school orchestra. I sit towards the front next to Lopez (who gives of the feeling of being a father-figure), and listen to the orchestra play. I don't remember what song they played but after a few minutes I started playing with the oboe-like instrument at my feet. I blow into one end and a deep brooding sound comes out the other. After a few seconds of this George spots me and corrects me as he stops the orchestra, grabs the instrument, and blows into the opposite end. A much more beautiful noise comes out and I sit back and watch him play. I am a bit embarrassed at interrupting practice, but George's carefree manner puts me at ease. After finishing playing he pulls a tiki-looking object out of his bag and tells me to play it. I say I have no idea what to do and he grabs it from me and does something to make it play the Hawaiian islands theme. I am impressed and after a minute or two he stands up and puts his arm around me saying he thinks I will have a bright future in music. I then walk out of the building and find myself in between two skyscrapers that are being scaled my two men. I am told that these men are none other than Deleuze and Guattari. I look up and they tell me that they are trying to find a way into their dreams. I find that a bit odd and look elsewhere. I then find myself faced by a web that acrobats are using for a show. A man shows up and points out all of the flaws in the web's construction for the next few minutes. After he stops we say hello and I am told that he is the master of lucid dreams. I am excited by this and tell him I want to lucid dream as well. He agrees to help me and we drive away in his truck where I fall asleep.
In my dream within a dream I am immediately lucid and am told by the man that we need to accomplish a series of tasks if we want to enjoy being lucid. The first task had something to do with lions and the second with school, and the third was about trying to save a monkey that was encased in a wooden block. The wooden block kept moving around and the monkey was becoming more and more discouraged the point where I told the man the whole task was pointless and that we should just enjoy the dream while we can. I then jumped off the ground and flew high in the sky and was promptly followed by the man. I told him the one thing I have always wanted to do is to fly to Paris and have coffee while it was still dark. He agrees and I attempt to teleport to Paris but find myself in a Parisian-looking city that I have never seen before. I realize that in order to teleport my end destination needs to be based in memory and I set up to try again. At that point the man suggests that we go to Versailles because he has always wanted to go there. I then put all of my efforts into picturing Versailles but I notice the dream beginning to fade and wake up
However I have merely woken up from the dream with in a dream into my actual dream lucid once more. I then attempt to change the flowers in a vase on the breakfast table of the man's RV into Versailles and picture sprawling gardens with a large castle set in the middle. But after I finish my attempt, I am only greeted by the flowers once more.
At this point I lose my lucidity as the man tells me we are out of the dream, and dream actions don't work in the real world. Disappointed I sit down and prepare myself to leave the RV. As I am rising from the bed three children show up on the porch and tell me that they are going to school and just wanted to say hi. I say hi and go about my business in the kitchen. One boy then rushes into the kitchen and tags me claiming that I am "it." The boy runs away and takes his friend which leaves the girl staring at us through the porch window. She scrapes in the screen with fake fingernails and tells us she's late for school and rushes off.
At the dream starts to fade I recognize from the strangeness that I have been in a dream the entire time and tell myself the remember what happened for my dream journal
Then I wake up for real
