I decided to just say that this was a recall focused night. I didn't really get to do mantras for "focus" so, that will probably have to wait a couple days. I did recall some dreams about my friends. I had a dream about H. I was helping him to compose a song. There were these really strange visuals while we were working, it looked like we were in space with these green sine waves moving around that were supposed to be the sound waves. He kept on adding more "layers" as in adding more sound waves to the mix. The strange part about it was I didn't actually remember hearing any music. I had another dream about S. He and I were discussing some story he was writing. I was telling him about a character I wanted to include called San. (Note: Me and S actually have been working together on a story, and there is a character in the story called San.) Anyways, I was telling him about San, and how his personality is really shy, and he's really timid and unsure of himself. But at the same time, he has these very powerful magical abilities, and is often forced to use them in a fight, and that was why I thought he was an interesting character. It looks like my recall is aligning to daily recall once more. I know for a fact that my recall is only going to get better. And soon, my dreams should begin to clear up, too.

I was in some kind of beach/resort area that lacked a hotel building. It was simply a large number of sand dunes covered in grass nearby a beach with some palm trees. And all I can remember about the area aside from the general terrain was that I think Lia was there along with my family. (Although I was not lucid) And I was trying to make a sand castle. There were a couple of really well made and detailed sand castles on the beach, and I had wanted to make my own, but I couldn't find a good spot, because most of the beach was rocks. I was in my family's old van, my mom was driving, and I was in the backseat. I felt very small, perhaps what had happened earlier in the dream explained that I was in fact younger again. Also it was nighttime and very dark both inside and outside the car. But I did a nose pinch RC and found out I could breathe. I went on to tell my mom that I was dreaming and ask her to stop the car so that I could get out so that I could do lucid dream things. But instead, her outline arose from in-front of the seat and her fingers grew long and pointy like claws, and her hair seemed to get more messed up and disheveled. She started to climb other the seat and swipe at me with her claws. But, because I was lucid, I wasn't at all scared by the situation. I realized that I was unable to move or speak, and my only option was to simply wake myself up.

I can't remember when I had these dreams or what they actually connect to. Most of them are quite boring, at least in my eyes, just random "brain gunk" that I seem to get alot when I'm not particularly focused on lucid dreaming. And let me just come right out, I am making no effort whatsoever to write with neatness or flow. I met a girl from my school from awhile ago. (In real life, she liked me, but I didn't like her. For the sake of this DJ entry, we'll call her Daisy.) She reappeared in this dream and sort of dragged me along on a date. The first portions of the dream took place in a real life park not too far from my house. A lot of stuff happened on our date, but I can't remember the filler. I was trying to get out of the situation, because In real life, or in dreams, I'm not really a romantic type. There was another male dream character that was following us too. In the last part of our date, she rented a hotel room in this very large hotel skyscraper. (I remember the hotel skyscraper very vividly, it was very shanty looking like it was made out of sheet metal and scraps.) When we got to the room she started taking off her clothes. Now I had been trying to weasel my way out of this date for awhile, but no way am I going "all the way" with her. I start running out of the hotel, when I get lucid. Ok, I didn't actually get lucid, but I realized that I had dream control powers, but didn't understand the fact that I was actually dreaming. I flew up into the air. Now for some odd reason, I became extremely angry with Daisy for this whole thing, and she was in the hotel room, with the other male DC. I flew up to the hotel room, and I had a new ability. I could throw this white lasso onto the building and began pulling it apart. I know that sounds somewhat strange, but at this point I began tearing the tower apart trying to kill Daisy for dragging me on this date that I never wanted to go on. The thing that I remember about the dream most clearly was the destruction of the tower. I woke up on a hospital bed and noticed that I felt quite strange from the knees down. I pulled up the sheets and saw that I actually had prosthetic legs. A couple of doctors came in and explained to me the incident that had led me to get these prosthetic legs, and why my original legs had to be amputated. I cannot remember the details of why, just that it was explained to me. What I remember clearly was the look of the prosthetic. They were black, with metal bands going up and down the front and back, and were quite a bit thinner than normal legs, but still had the same sort of shape to them. The black portion had a dark-grey crosshatched texture to it. Also the legs didn't have feet, just a sort of hook with a couple screw holes as though the feet hadn't been attached yet. One more thing, on the inside of each leg, right below the knee on each replacement leg, there was a small control panel with perhaps 12 buttons and a small blue glowing screen. Almost like a pocket calculator attached to the side of the legs. I'm not sure what it's function actually was. I'm beginning to think that awakening in hospitals after traumatic surgery/amputation is a new dream sign. I don't know why this is coming up, but I will have to remember to reality check when it does. My parents had purchased me a special gift (I can't remember the occasion.) It turned out to be a self-parasailing kit that included a small boat that was remote controlled and a parasail. The idea was that you could turn the sport into a one man operation by flying on the parasail and driving the boat at the same time. When my parents gave it to me, we were vacationing somewhere tropical and I was able to try it out on the ocean just by our hotel. But, not long after we left for home. Going home turned out to be a mess of plane flights and layovers. I was really impatient and wanted to use my self parasailing kit again, but wasn't able to, because... well we were in transit so much. My backpack had been stolen from my car. All I can remember was that it looked very similar to the blue backpack that I normally use for my school books and sometimes use to carry my laptop computer when I visit family or friends. I can't remember how I tracked it down. I think I had a large group of friends helping me, and we somehow knew the thief was not far off. I've begun to realize that these sorts of dreams, (although to some people may seem extremely interesting.) Are boring to me. You see the reason these dreams are boring is because I've had dozens of dreams like them already. It's like your subconscious telling the same joke ten times and you get bored with it. But there are a bunch of reasons these dreams are boring to me. For one, none of these are very vivid. You will notice a distinct lack of detail in these. (At least in comparison to some of my DJ entries.) Second, they don't have congruency. The story or plot of the dream isn't very clear. And if it is, It's a story to a dream that I've experienced before. Also important are the characters, who in my dreams, with the exception of Lia, my own dream guide are nearly always seem to be sort of drones ant are pre programmed to carry out tasks outside of their intended role in the dream. Finnaly is creativity. These dreams may carry unique or creative aspects to them, but in all, they're not very unusual. There is a difference between creativity and randomness. I'm going to assume you understand the difference there. And these dreams actually do have some creativity to them. Not much, not in comparison to some of my dreams. So the reason I seem bored with my dreams is because they don't contain any of the, the 3 C's we'll call it. Creativity,Clarity,Congruency. These are the keys to me having interesting dreams that I want to talk about.

It all began with me making my way through the woods. I cannot entirely remember what was happening but it had something to do with looking for a small package in the woods. I found it eventually. I began making my way back to wherever I had come from. I fell and tripped on a vine that was covered in thorns, and cut my ankle pretty bad. Eventually, I made my way out of the forest. There was a large desert opening out in front of me. About a quarter mile into the desert there was a small sandstone outcropping with (get this) a submarine on it. The submarine was old and rusted, with holes in the hull as though it had been there for years. It was leaning into the rocky outcropping with the tail end going up at roughly a thirty degree angle. The entire thing was in a huge desert or salt flat, surrounded by woodland. I made my way inside the submarine, into a large open room inside the submarine. The story came into my mind. This was taking place after an apocalypse and some of the last human survivors used this submarine as a city to live out of. Because the submarine was so old, people had rebuilt parts of it using scrap metal. Because the submarine was on a slant, the floor had to be built in steps to remain level. It started raining outside, and because of the holes in the hull, it was difficult to find a place that was dry. At the same time, some culinary students were using the submarine to hold a banquet, and I was having difficulty finding a seat that would get me out of the rain. I eventually settled on a set near the kitchen. This part of the submarine had been rebuilt using scrap metal and was warm from all of the stoves and ovens that were deeper inside. After I had eaten, I went back outside. The rain had stopped. Just outside the submarine, and down the rocky outcropping my cousins were there, and had set up a card playing table. We were all playing YuGiOh, (I don't even like YuGiOh) and I sat down to play with them. My dad was there and he told me that (enter dream logic) my YuGiOh cards held a mystical key to rebuilding the earth after the apocalypse. Just as he told me that, someone up on the submarine came out onto a scrap metal balcony and yelled that there was a fire, and that the nuclear reactor on the submarine would go critical and explode. I started running. I continually looked over my shoulder. I could see the other people who had lived in the submarine who were evacuating on cars and pickup trucks made out of scrap metal. The fire was spreading rather quickly, despite there being nothing flammable on the submarine. I realized I had forgotten my YuGiOh cards. (Remember these were somehow important for rebuilding after the apocalypse.) I saw my dad running after me, only about 100 feet behind me. The entire submarine was engulfed in flames by now. I could only wonder how big the blast would be, and how much longer before the blast would happen. Boom! A massive (yet beautiful and realistic, for a dream) nuclear explosion. A blast wave of sand rippled through the ground. I was still running, and watching as the wave got closer. When it hit, I simply ducked down and pulled the hood from my jacket over my head. I stood up. There was a hip-deep dust cloud as far as I could see in every direction. The nuclear blast was now a thin column of smoke, distant in the sky. I looked around. My father stood up, Triumphantly holding the YuGiOh cards. I woke up. I want to come back and edit this, explain it a little more clearly. I remembered most of all of the important details for this dream, but I just think that the wording for some parts of this DJ entry is rubbing me the wrong way.

I can't remember many of the details, but I know that my family was there. We were on-board some train with unusually large space inside the train cars. My dad was doing something with alot of baggage that she had brought on-board. Then me and my mother climbed up onto the roof of the train and saw another train coming the other way. We started to run to the back end of the train hoping to avoid the wreck, but somehow the trains never collided. I think they were on two separate rails.

I was watching some TV show about conspiracies or something. They were talking about this small group of people that owned a well on top of a small mountain, somewhere in northern Michigan. The well looked like an oil well because there was this tall steel structure, like an old-fashioned oil well. There was also a building right next to the structure to control the drilling process. They were building on an expansion to the small building next to the well. The conspiracy that they were talking about was that someone seemed to be siphoning off water from their main line. (The main water line from their well led down the mountain and into a town.) They figured out almost immediately that someone had built onto their water line so that the new expansion to the building would be reliant on the water from the well that they ran. There was this pipe running through the wall that split into three pipes. It was around this time, that I went from watching to being engaged in the dream. I was able to turn the valve on one of the small pipes inside the new part of the building. Sure enough, water came out. I tried drinking it because I wanted to see if it tasted like minerals. It was surprisingly pure. Then, a bunch of other people showed up. Apparently they were having a party for the daughter of the people that owned the well. Their daughter, or so I was told, was trying out to be an Olympic swimmer. But she had not been picked to go to the Olympics. But her family had wanted to show that they were proud of her. So they threw a part and had a cake and some snacks. They also had a mannequin displaying the swimsuit that she would've worn had she gone to the Olympics. I talked with some of the people at the party. Most of them didn't seem to have much to say until I started talking to the daughter, the person who had wanted to be an Olympic swimmer. I think she was about 20 with short black hair. She seemed really nice, but as soon as we began talking, I woke up.
All I can remember is a painfully dull dream involving either A or S talking with my science teacher. I was waiting for them for what felt like half an hour, because we were going to lunch or something. Part of the reason that they were taking so long had to do with several other people in the classroom, and they were all waiting in line to talk to the same teacher. And just as I thought we were about to leave, I woke up. At least my dream recall is coming back. If my lucid "trend" remains, I should have another good lucid dream soon.

I've never really believed in shared dreaming, so I don't really know what to think of this... I've also added a new name to my guide C, will stand for a new anonymous friend of mine. I met her on the school bus, and she and I both know alot about lucid dreaming. We've been talking to one another for several days now. So the dream began with me riding my bike down a trail. I stopped at a Bigby coffee and got a hot chocolate. I put the drink in a cup holder right in the middle of my handlebars. I realized that the cup was full and might spill, so I drank from it until it was about three quarters full. I started riding again, and the cup slowly refilled. I drank from it again, and it refilled again. I stopped paying attention to riding my bike and did not realize that I was about to ride into a door. When the door opened, C was there, and she grabbed the handlebars of my bike and stopped me. From there, we went in to see a movie, I think it was the new Dredd movie. The only unusual thing about the movie was that there were a bunch of armed guards in the theatre. Then the movie theater manager came up to me. He looked like Morpheus from the matrix. The theater scene changed to the street in front of my house. C was gone. It was nighttime. The Morpheus man wanted to show me to use his gun. I can remember it being He began demonstrating how to hold it and shoot it. I was just about to try shooting it for myself when I woke up. The interesting part of the story comes on the bus. When I was talking to C, she described running into me in the door of the theater. She said that I was drinking a coffee. And the movie that we saw in the dream was frankenweenie. This makes me think of a that lucid dream, the one where my cat told me that he was my cousin and that he was lucid dreaming. I just don't know what to make of it all. The idea of shared dreaming just seems unrealistic.
