'Another Night' follows the various story arcs and recurring themes of my dreams. Selected dreams from my childhood are displayed here as are my current, normal dreams.
3/16/13 1. I am lucid. I am in a factory setting. I try to explain to a crowd of characters about what happened in my previous dream. There is a man giving a tour in the scene of my dream. The people appear frustrated. I decide that it is my dream, the world is mine, and I jump on the tour-holder, liberating myself from the restraints. A group of DCs follow me happily. A business man, outside in the open, steps out of a black car and says: "Let's go. It's time to wake up," but I just flip him off. I make the mistake of thinking it is a shared dream, and I run with five other people. I tell them to focus on their senses to make the dream real, but I did not realize that they weren't. We race through a desert and forest. I have begun to label all forested areas (those that aren't plains or urban) as part of the Marsh, because it has expanded recently and has been appearing a lot in my dreams lately. We see a house. Grimilia steps out of a corner. I have not seen her in years; why has she returned? She must be sentient for her to appear like this. She must be a part of me that has become self-aware, dissociated from my psyche because of her significance or other reasons. Maybe she resembles something or somebody. Could she be a representation of a problem? Some things happen, and everything explodes into a blinding white. I tell the characters to run, but when I look back I only see two of them.
12-2/?/12-13 1. I come to school and go inside. I go to the library in the morning, but it looks very different. Upon pulling a book from the shelf, I become transported to some sort of place. It is like I am floating in the sky. Text appears in the sunrise. It is like I am taking a test, and the clouds are my paper. I am asked a series of questions by a voice in the heavens. I look down, but I cannot see anything. Then, he speaks another time, and the text jumbles together and rewrites itself, spelling out: "YOU ARE DREAMING." Everything becomes shockingly vivid. Then, I proceed to the next question. The voice asks me something, and music begins to play. A little black button appears with an electronic base, floating in front of me, with the words "DEMISE" scribbled onto it. I press it. 2. I am in the living room late at night with my headphones on. I assume I fell asleep with it on. Then, I realize that the voice on the podcast is the same as the one from the dream. I become lucid. Then, a familiar woman enters my house. She tells me to go to sleep, but I know that I already am. "You aren't real! I'm dreaming," I say, but she just looks at me. Everything feels so real that I begin to believe that I've actually woken up. It is time to settle this. I do a reality check, but I get a false negative. My eyes are blurry- I try to pull my eyelids apart to clarify, but I cannot. This is a common dreamsign among my false awakenings. I close my eyes, and force them open, waking myself, even if just to prove it was just a dream.

But that was a minor part and it seemed far away from my part of the dream, like someone else was the main character but the dreams spilled over into each other. Was your dream anywhere near a forest, or a primary school? In this one dream one of my cousins was flirting with a girl from my church. But when they were done with that we walked out into the street (well beside the street) and I saw two deer climbing a tree (in the dream I was like "Since when do deer climb trees?!") Well the deer climbed the tree and when they were at the top they jumped. The tree was like 20 feet tall, roughly 6 meters for those outside of the U.S. and the way they landed was to tuck in there front legs and land sideways while kind of rolling. The first one landed safely and began walking away. But the second one jumped to far and when it tucked in it's legs it hit the road. Really hard, so it died. At least that's what I thought. Then my little brother ran over to it screaming and poked it, then it got up, it was all messed up and ran away. In my earlier dream I was standing on a dirt pile, like huge, kind of like a really small mountain. And I jumped, but I jumped REALLY far and landed on another dirt mound. Now here's the dream with the zombies. Well I was in the car with my mom and some of her friends. Then I had to get out. It was me and my brother. Then I went into the forest and I saw a rainbow. Then through most of my forest time I was killing Greek gods who told me things like "You would betray your friends for the prize too." Actually, the guy who said that was on a team with me and my brother. Well he ended up tricking my brother into running back into the forest after we walked out and this is what happened. He began to run after my brother to kill him. So I started chasing him. He picked up a big pipe so he could throw it at my brother, so I picked up a large branch to throw at him before he could hit my brother with the pipe. As he stopped to talk to my brother before he threw the pipe, I threw the branch at him. He fell to the ground and yelled. I ran up to him and apparently something else had fell on him too, a LOT bigger than my branch. So I picked up the branch, and began to twist it into his back (like a screw) until the hole was completely through his back, it took three times to do that before he died. Then me and my brother walked out of the forest confidently, knowing this was only the beginning. And as we crossed the street and were walking in someone else's front yard a blue SUV came rushing down the street, then as they rode by us they stomped on the brakes and the tires screeched as they sped back down the road and pulled up beside us. Since me and my brother went through a lot we were wary of getting in, even though the people in the truck were all very close family. I assumed that they were gods who changed form. But something made that change. Then a zombie came up from down the street and from that one zombie I felt that everything down the street was plagued by zombies. (This is only a fraction of the whole dream.) Did I have a synch with you? This isn't from this morning, it was from an earlier night. I'll highlight in blue where I think we synched. 4/28/13 1. Someone jumps off of a cliff. They witness a sailing accident. It was for sport, and they survived because of their intent. I used to do something similar in previous dreams; I should have become lucid. A team is dispatched to get the jumper. Everyone still agrees that it wasn't for suicide, but I am uncertain. We fly in a helecopter over hills and mountains and bays and trees. The scenery was also another oblivious dreamsign. We land on a mountain. A boy (I think so, I am still uncertain of the gender of the characters) suddenly sprints off the cliff. An odd aura comes over me, and I feel as if the dream is taking place in the air and the land at the same time. In the air, I fall off the helicopter in a sudden jolt, but I am still clung to my reality watching this man jump to what should have been his death. I cannot explain it with words. I feel as if I fell of the helicopter for the intention of retrieving the (alive) boy. He was intending to rescue the other character, who I think has melted into a woman. I get both of them in the water. I am under pressure, and my head rings. I begin to get claustrophobic at the waves crashing and pulling the water and me. I get him, but we have to walk back to the rest of the group. The character that jumped spontaneously has disappeared from the dream. The woman who jumped and witnessed the accident has been kidnapped, although I was not aware of it. I am in a warehouse, and I remember the image of guns and the woman. I cannot remember what culminated following this. I remember walking out of the area, and becoming lucid on the street. I tell myself to stop denying it. I said that the entire scenario gave off the unrecognizable scent of dream. I remember my intent to find Tibb, the dream guide, but I fall backwards and characters spin around the dream, and I fade. 2. I am in a resort. There is a lake's beach. There are many platforms from which to fall. Many people jump (with harnesses). I get some food, and the fog comes in. It is not sunny and sweaty but cool with much plant life all around. The beach slowly changes into a cliff, and the platforms disappear. My school seems to merge with the scenery, and my classmates begin to spawn. People still jump with harnesses, except they jump diagonally in order to traverse the landscape via sky. You can fall for miles horizontally and stop suddenly and fall vertically. I cannot explain it, but the dream populous seems to be stricter about falling than the previous dream. Before, people were jumping everywhere off of hills with no fear of death. I attempt to jump with my friends, but the guard holds me back. He says that I need to have gloves or mittens because the forest is "very cold while in the sky." In order to jump, I need to have mittens to prevent frostbite, but I cannot find any. I begin to ask people for a pair. I get a jacket, but "that is not a mitten." I eventually start to loot people's backpacks. I still cannot find mittens. Now, the dream scenery is both indoors and outdoors because of the school. I am not allowed to jump, and my friends leave without me. I am very disappointed. I think that I have one more period after this (hence the invasion of the school-motif), meaning I can try again. By now, the dreamscape has completely changed from the beach to the cliff, hills, and forest to finally my schoolyard. I begin to ask for mittens again. I am met with glaring looks, but I go to a pile of socks. An idea strikes my mind, and I attempt to use the socks as gloves for next time.
