Some stupid, stupid person let me loose in my own mind.
1st dream I'm going hill walking with my dad. It's raining quite a bit, and I remember that last time we went walking on these mountains while it was raining, we got stuck. But apparently we're going a different way this time. We're in the car, and I'm putting my walking boots and raincoat on. We get there and begin to walk up a small rocky path. Next to the path is grass and mud, which I accidently put my foot in. I pull it out with a squelch. We walk under some trees, and when we come out, it's no longer raining. The path twists and turns, and we're already pretty high up. We come to a piece of path that banks so steeply, it's almost vertical. "Better take it pretty fast." my dad says and he runs over it. "Or you can step down here and go across." I step down and walk across in the long grass. 2nd dream It's the first day back at school and I'm late, and I don't know where to go. There are small pyramids dotted all over a hill, which is covered in bushes. This is suppoed to be part of the school. I wonder around for a while wondering where to go. There's an assistant teacher person sitting on one of the pyramids, so I decide to ask her where to go. "Hello. I don't know where to go..." "What class are you in?" she asks. I'm about to reply, when I realise that I have no clue. So I just shake my head and walk off. I go over to the pyramid at the end because I have the feeling that this is the right one. I lift the top up and there's teacher and his class. The teacher turns around and snaps at me "What do you want?" so I slam the lid shut. I hope he isn't my form teacher this year.... I open the lid again and peek in to see if the people in there are from my form, but I don't think they are. I shut the lid and walk away. A couple of pyramids down, I open another one. This is where the dream goes REALLY strange. I only open it a crack, just enough to hear inside. There is one teacher and one pupil, at least I think it's a teacher. I can't remember what she says, but it means I know that she is doing something to this kid that means they'll do exactly what she says. I slowly shut the lid and walk away. I sit on the hill side, not knowing what else to do. I'm going to wait until morning break when my friends come out and go with them to my next lessdon. But that's two hours away. A boy walks down behind me. "Alright? What are you doing?" he asks. "Nothing much. Being lost." I say. "Did you hear what that lady was doing in the pyramid back there?" we have a short conversation about it, and then decide to run away from her, because I can hear her coming out of the pyramid. Memory lapse.... I'm with the first boy at the bottom of the hill and another one is at the top looking down. I have the feeling that he is the one in the pyramid who the lady is controlling. The first boy sort of hides me behind his back. The one on the hill says something to me I don't believe (I can't remember what), but I think he says he isn't the one I'm running away from. I shake my head, but when I look back at the first boy, it's like there's a pink/blue stain over him. "You!" I shout, pointing at him.. "It's you." I push him in the stream, and the pink/blue stain seems to fade...
My dream starts in some random house that isn't mine. There's a fat guy with a big beard with his wife sitting at a table. I'm not sure whether I'm in the actual house or just watching it on television, but a second later one of the tripods from war of the worlds has shot them, the man first and then his wife, and then, apparently, me. Even though I had no time to jump out the the way, I still seem to be here. I look at all the photos. Framed pictures of the couple, happy and smiling, but somehow I know they have a son and a daughter. I race up the stairs (definitely not watching it on tv now!) and find the boy's room. He's sitting on his bed. Memory lapse/second dream... I'm at home, looking out the window in the living room. Then another tripod from war of the worlds turns up and fires a few shots over the house, and I realise there are two of them. A few minutes later, and they're gone, but I can tell they'll be back. The rest of my family know that too, and although we don't say much to each other, soon I have drawn up plans for a place for us to hide. I'm nervous and constantly look out of the window, not entirely convinced that the tripods are gone. The plan is of a cellar four rooms deep. The boy from before is randomly here, and is making the ceiling. He is painting it black and blue. "Can I bring Muffin with me?" I ask my mum. "I don't know, he'll take up room and he's 28-" (28?!) "-anyway." Muffin is my hamster, who is actually three... anyway, I go downstairs and ask my dad. "Sure," he says "Muffin can come. And all the other pets." I go upstairs to the art room, where my older sister has made a model of what the room at the bottom will be like. She is cutting out a section of the 'wall' where the sofa will go, and I see the wall is painted purple. I picked up a sponge on my way upstairs from my room, and I dip it in purple paint. Eventually, it's finished and we are about to move into our secret underground house thing. The ceilings are made of paper and foil. I sit in the dark and wish we had something stronger as a roof.
I'm in a big, expensive house. There is a large grand piano at which a sad looking girl is sitting. She's about the same age as me. Somehow I know that she's lonely and sad because even though she lives in a really huge expensive house, she has no friends and her parents are really horrible to her. I'm leaning against a large window, when a car horn sounds. "What's that?" I ask. The girl apparently doesn't hear me and says the same thing. We run down the drive an there's a car there, full of people. I'm not sure if I know I'm dreaming. We both get into the car, which is full of other kids. None of them seem to notice me. I'm squished in the corner, next to a girl with a large overbite. She smiles at me and says "Hi, I'm the godess of the water." I'm confused at this. She laughs and says "We're going round and picking up dreamers. You can be whatever you want." I'm thinking about this, as well as other things. I think I know I'm dreaming, but I also wonder if I'm supposed to be dead in this dream, because nobody except for this girl can see me. Whatever, I think. Then I begin to wonder if I'm actually dreaming, but I don't reality check. I decide that if I'm not dreaming, then this must be very crazy. We get to a place reminiscent of the Arts Centre and go and crouch at the windows. "What's going on?" I whisper to the 'goddess of the water'. "We're under attack. Dream invaders" "Oh." I get up and start to silently dash about the place (which is a lot bigger than it is in real life). There are maze-like corridors that twist and turn and instead of stairs, the floor just slopes upward. I see some people I feel are these Dream Invaders, and take my knife out of my belt. They can't see me, so I'm sure I must be dead in this dream. Big fat lapse in memory... Then I find I'm in the left side of the building, a darker version of the right side. My jeans are torn, so I guess I must have had a fight with the Invaders. I creep round the back and come back to the right side. I crouch by the windows again. "Where have you been? They're inside and you've been running about doing..." and then the dream ends.
We pay to go into a museum (me, my mum and my sister) and go down the first dark corridor and out into the first room, which is full of sculptures and pictures. There are some other more interesting things, but they only keep my attention for a short while and my mum and sister are fascinated by these weird drawings. "I like this style but not too much." my mum says. My sister gets a pencil out of nowhere and starts trying to add to the pictures. "Hannah! No! Stop it! Can me move on yet? Look everyone else is gone. Even Mrs Mackie is going." Mrs mackie was one of my old school teachers and is really slow at doing stuff. Eventually we get out into the next room, which is all white and has shells and pearls and stuff. We don't even stop in here and carry on. The next room is no longer a museum. It's full of racks of clothes, and as we continue, we find ourselves in a large shopping centre. Later, I have another dream where I'm rushing about a station frantically trying to buy tickets. After that, I have some blue and white tickets and am trying to board a train, which apparently doesn't exist; it's just an empty station.
Dream fragments about a wet cat. I find a small kitten somewhere, and I seem to be running away from someone. The problem is I can't hold cats. I remember a field and then my mum turns up. "That's not how you hold a cat. Have you been holding her like that all day?" I say yes, and my mum teaches me how to hold a cat and somehow, I end up climbing out a building on a rope.
I'm walking down the street, back home from school (which is strange enough, since it's the school holidays) and it seems like it's taking for ever. I know my dad's car is parked just around the corner, but it's dark and cold and I don't feel like walking. Then a large bus pulls up. I stop, and so does the bus. I look up. The driver is oldish and gives the impression of being mad. There's a skeleton in the back of the bus. "Don't worry, he's just the driver." The man says. Yes, I think, he's definately mad. I get in never the less, and as soon as the door shuts, I begin to wonder if I shouldn't have got in. I wonder if this man and his skeleton are going let me off. But then he asks "Where to?" "Just round the corner, on the left, then stop." We round the corner and the bus stops. I jump out and get in the car with my dad, and he drives me to someone's house. It begins to get lighter. I hop out the car and my dad passes me my suitcase. I know I've never been to this house before. The walls are white and there are fancy lights on the walls. The stairs are to my left. Then the dream ends. My second dream could be part of my third dream, but these are dream fragments: There is a lake. I am on one side, one friend on the other. The lake is green. There are trees either side, and mud directly next to it. Something is floating in the lake. A duck? It's grey. My friend on the other side reaches for it. We walk under a bridge. The bridge is familiar... it's a brown rope bridge. My third dream takes place on the lake. We are supposed to be going canoeing, but my friends are puzzeled when we are asked to get into a bus. "Don't worry, I know what's going on. I've been on one of these before. Put a helmet on, strap yourself in and they hold the bus high over the lake" (that's happened in a previous dream) We all wear grey helmets, and everyone on the bus takes ropes and straps themselves in. There isn't enough left for me, so I grab on to a small piece just in time. The driver is having some fun. He bounces the bus up and down, and I bounce loads because I'm not strapped in. It's dead fun though.
I'm at school. Right now I'm in the main building. There are stairs at all four corners and three floors. The bottom floor is four separate corridors with stairs at the end and a hall in the middle. The middle floor has a balcony covering three sides and enables you to see into the hall below. There are classrooms bordering the balcony and the top floor follows the rough plan of the bottom floor. You can also get to the roof from the top floor. I've always wanted to get to the top and swap the flag for something else. In this dream the layout has completely changed and there's a window at one point, with no glass and it starts just above the floor. I stand in it and my friend grabs my arm and says "No, don't go on there you're not allowed!" When we get out the building, I don't know what happens, but later I find myself in the 'yellow corridor'. From there, the obstacles from the TV show Total Wipeout have appeared. We get into teams and our team is winning when we arrive in the science block. We are all wet. The leader person, who is also the commentator, tells us to run s=twelve months that way, or something like that. We are running back, and two people from the other team (Harry and Kainan, I think. That's two of our class mates) There wet hair looks black and orange. I start whacking them in the face with a woggle and try and stop them overtaking us. My friend, Irene, who is part Croatian, tells me something. It appears to be a Croatian word (begins with 'k') and she says it's like a long month. I run past some bushes, back into the yellow corridor. I laugh and take long, 'floaty' bounds. I'm in the yellow corridor when the dream ends.
I don't usually take naps, but I decided to try one today. I close my eyes. I'm laying on the floor, which is surprisingly comfy and after a while I start seeing colours and shapes. After a few more minutes of this, a buzzing noise begins, like a swarm of wasps. It gets louder and louder. The noise distracts me and I slip into a non lucid dream. It's all kind of white. I look up and there's a girl standing in front of me with blue eyes and dark hair. "Have you seen Mike?" She asks. "No. Where is this?" "Nowhere. Are you sure you haven't seen Mike?" I have no clue who Mike is, or who the girl is, or where I am, so I ask again. "What do you mean, Nowhere? This must be somewhere. What am I standing on then?" I ask again. I notice the girl is wet. "Nothing. You're standing on nothing." Then she asks where Mike is again, and I tell her I don't know who mike is. She begins to laugh at me, so I turn around and walk away. She calls after me, telling me that if I see Mike, I need to tell him she asked where he is. Then I come to a lake. The lake looks really strange, it's just a big blue lake in the middle of 'nothing'. There's a crocodile in the lake, and it turns an eye to look at me. "Hello," I say. "Hello" says the crocodile "Where would you like to go?" "Do you know where a pyramid is?" I ask. "Yes, it's over there." I look down the river, and there's some dark building down the end. "Well, can you take me there?" "No. But I can if you give me your shoes." The crocodile looks at my feet. "No!" and then I say something about if the crocodile doesn't do what I ask, I'll report him to 'the factory' but I don't know what that's meant to be. But the next minute, the crocodile has turned into a large piggy bank. I pick it out of the water, and it's extremely heavy and full of coins. I empty the coins out onto the floor, and instead of having a 'tails' on one side, it has a big letter, and each coin has a different letter on it. I'm just arranging the letters when I wake up.
My first dream was after my alarm goes off in the middle of the night. First there's a nice, dark room. It's made of some sort of dark, reddish wood, and the fabric is in the same dark tones. There's a table here too. I sit at the table and look about, wondering where I am. Then a rather old man with grey hair, and thick black eyebrows walks in. He isn't wearing a shirt , and he's quite flabby and has a hairy chest and I swear I can't see any pants on him, but so far he's behind a chair. He can't see me. Then I find myself in a tent with no memory of the wooden house. The tent is large, blue and pyramid shaped. I remember my old school field , but when I look over my shoulder I can't see the school. But I know this is my old school field (a recurring place in my dreams!) because of the way there are hills on one side and trees bordering the whole field, hiding a wire fence. Behind me where the school should be, there is just fog. I don't know what I'm doing here, but it's like there's something just behind the trees I need to get to so I start running across the field. These were just hazy dream fragments. When I woke up in the morning, I can't remember either dreams immediately, and I'm frustrated. So I lay down and try to do an early morning WILD, which in the past have sometimes been successful. But today I'm not asleep enough or my sister is making too much noise because it doesn't want to work. I think what happened next might have been an OBE. I could feel my thumb in my palm, even though my hands were one on each side of me. I rub my right thumb in my left palm a bit as I begin to feel my other hands too, my 'real' hands, both at the same time. Then I move my real hands, and I can feel my hands either side of me. My thumb no longer feels like it's in my palm.
The alarm goes off at 3:27am. I switch it off and drop my phone onto my bed, and drift back to sleep. As soon as my eyes close, I shoot straight back up. I have the feeling I should be somewhere, but I can't quite remember where. I remember my phone went off, because I wanted to try WILD, but I look about my bed and just can't find the phone. Then I remember where I'm supposed to be. I look at my hand, because that's where I wrote the name of the place; 'Chichen Itza' It says, but a little bit has rubbed off. When I look again, all of the writing is there, so I do the nose plug RC... Of course, I'm dreaming. I get out of bed, and I'm magically dressed, my pyjamas are neatly folded on my bed, which appears to have made it's self. I walk up to the door and visualise the Chichen Itza pyramid and tell myself it's on the other side of the door. I slowly open the door with my eyes closed. I can feel a breeze in my face, but it's a warm breeze. So I open my eyes. Yes, there it is, the old dark pyramid. I feel like climbing up it, but look at my hand again to remind me what I'm supposed to be doing. The doorway behind me has gone, but that doesn't really matter so I hardly notice and run up to the pyramid. The light is at the top, so I know someone is or has been here already just I can't see anyone. I hear voices on the other side so I run round there. I round the corner, expecting to see at least two people, because it sounded not like an argument but more of a discussion, but there had to be at least two people so I'm really surprised when I see that there's nobody there. I hear voices just around the corner again, so I dash around there. Now the voices have moved to the opposite side of the pyramid. The voices get louder and quieter and keep moving, but I never see who's talking. Eventually, they sound like they're at the top, so I practically cry out. The voices begin to laugh instead, and I'm sure they're laughing at me. I begin to climb to the top. When I'm there, I'm standing in the light, which is so bright Ican't see. The voices are gone now, so I just sit down for a while, waiting for them to come back. By now I'm so frustrated that I jump off the top. I find myself in bed. I do an RC and I'm awake, but the scary thing is is that the time is only 3:28am. I fall asleep and remember no more dreams that night.
So here I am in my dream, and at first it's just a normal dream. I'm walking down my road, and then I turn the corner, and there's this HUGE PIECE OF CHEESE. I'm just staring at this piece of cheese, and my first thought isn't 'Oh, I'm dreaming', it's 'How am I going to get through?' because the cheese is so large, it's just sitting there blocking the road. As I'm wondering up to it, that's when it hits me- I'm dreaming. I pinch my nose and, of course, I can breathe through it. Then I think about trying to get past this cheese, and when I look at it again, it isn't a giant slice of edam anymore. It's swiss cheese. I jump into a hole, and I'm about two thirds the way into the cheese when I begin to wonder what I'm doing crawling through the holes in a giant piece of cheese. I sit down, and pinch my nose again, making sure for definate that I'm asleep. I shove my hand into my pocket, which a second ago was empty, and grab a shovel. Normally a shovel wouldn't fit into my pocket, but today it does, and I dig my wa out of this giant swiss cheese. The top is high up, about thirty metres tall, yellow and shiny. I jump off and land perfectly on my feet. Looking around, I see I'm not in my street anymore, and it's dark now. When I turn around the cheese is gone, and instead, there's a huge tall building. There are lights on at the top and the door is locked. I'm about to run through the wall, when I wake up. I just wonder why I dreamt about cheese.
