I remember looking at a video on my computer. I also remember needing to dial 911, but was glad that someone else called instead.

I was in my parents backyard during the evening and it started to get stormy and I was laying a basketball goal on the ground so the wind wouldn't blow it away. There was also a picnic table blowing away. My mom says to get a gun, but I don't have one. I ask her why and she says there is a man on the loose and was spotted around there. I am afraid.

Unfortunately I only remembered one short dream when I woke up this morning. I woke up around 2:30am but could not remember any dreams then.

There are fish in a big container and they are biting. They have big teeth like piranha. I move them around with my hand and one of them bites me, but not hard.

I am eating the fish at a table. There are little balls inside the fish, like caviar. I am supposedly eating French cuisine, and I say how nasty it is several times.

I leave work to go watch a movie at the theater. I drive up and an older lady asks me which movie I want to watch and I choose a 3D horror movie. The character on the poster resembles the character from "Tales From the Crypt."

I walk into the movie room and it looks creepy. They have a candle lit in the back. I walk around the theater and think of watching a movie without paying, but a lady is counting the people coming and going.

I am on vacation with my family. My dad and I begin to drive to Chi-chi's but I decide we should go back and get the others because they weren't with us. My mom was mad at dad so she didn't want to go.

We are all back in the theater. There is a virtual reality game going on. The characters in the game resemble characters from "Diablo." The game is like a hologram in the middle of the room. I noticed that the spear of one of the characters actually pokes me and hurts. I think this isn't right, this should only be a simulation. Apparently, people are actually getting killed by playing the game. However, they are being resurrected. I see people (theater workers?) putting food (some meat) on a plate. Somehow this food substance is being used to resurrect people! I realize that this doesn't make any sense (but it didn't cause me to become lucid, unfortunately). I try to tell my sister that it doesn't make any sense, but she keeps telling me that it does.

I was with a detective and walked into a dimly lit house. My friend was hiding in the house (I don't know why). I called out "Rhodes." Apparently, this was my friend's name, and I was telling him to come out of hiding. I found my friend hiding in the ceiling in some sort of a/c unit (or something). It turned out to be my childhood friend Matt. In hiding, his hands and head were stuck, as in the stocks. I searched through a toolbox for pliers to get him loose. Then I woke up.

The other night I dreamed about being in the supermarket and seeing a special ALF edition of Budweiser beer. I was also talking to a lady about the breathing problems that our kids had when they were younger.

Also, the same night, I had a semi-lucid dream? I walked up to a DC and realized that I was dreaming. I rubbed my hands and spun myself. I did not get any more clarity, though. I remember walking around talking to several girls. But that's all. I think it was more like I was dreaming about lucid dreaming.

3/15/2011 - 3/16/2011: 1 fragment

I dreamed that there were little plastic animals on a shelf in a store. I was thinking of turning myself into one of those animals. [fragment end]

Dream notes: This dream was good news, because I was dreaming about a lucid activity. Hopefully this means I am getting closer to possible lucidity.

WILD notes: I drank two glasses of water before I went to bed @ 10:30 last night and I woke up with a full bladder around 3:00am. Unfortunately, I let my grogginess overcome my desire to try to WILD. I'm kicking myself for it because it was probably a prime opportunity to get some good results.

This is my first journal entry. I have begun to remember dreams. These are not dated; I will try to remember to put a date on my dreams in the future. I have had the following dreams over the past several nights. They are just fragments, so I did one journal entry for several fragments. Each number represents a night that I had at least one dream.

1) I jumped into a little quickly-flowing river to help a guy who is getting swept down stream. The river is going downhill and is tiered with man-made marble slabs instead of natural rock. Shortly thereafter I encounter a man-made structure along the river that resembles playground equipment for children, except that it is also made of marble. I begin to crawl through one of the tunnels. [fragment end]

2) I fall off of a bridge into a calm river. No feeling of fear. Just standing in the water, looking up at a broken interstate bridge. [fragment end] I am working at a warehouse. There is a co-worker that is funny, and we are becoming friends (I can recall the feelings, but not necessarily the images). [fragment end]

3) I am standing on a boat and my daughter jumps into the water and I dive head-first into the water to go after her. I am afraid another boat will hit her. A boat is coming so I go underwater to avoid being struck. The boat's propeller passes just over me. [fragment end] I watch news reports about scientists discovering a new species of fish. It is highly intelligent. The fish has two different forms (my dream is inconsistent). [fragment end]

I dreamed a lot about water, and the first two nights occurred before the tsunami hit Japan. That was an interesting coincidence. It also rained a lot where I lived, so that probably influenced my dreams.

I have also been trying to use the WILD technique. I have been counting two digits and saying "I'm dreaming" (1-2-I'm dreaming-3-4-I'm dreaming-5-6, etc.). This seems to get me quite sleepy. I find it difficult to make it to 10 without my thoughts wandering away from counting. So then I restart the counting. My body gets a tingling sensation, but that's all. Then I fall asleep. I have been trying this when I fall asleep and also after I wake up during the night (I drink a lot of water before I go to bed).
