I've heard of this half asleep thing happening to a lot of people, but this is the first time it happened to me, so it was quite interesting.

Before going to bed, I was reading City of Glass, and my dream somewhat matched that xD

I was with my best friend, and we were in this dark house. It was night, and I don't know why there were no lights on, but something happened to my friend and she was badly hurt. I had a stele in my pocket, and quickly drew a healing rune on her arm, but it didn't seem to be working. I was really frustrated, and just wanted it to end, because the dark was starting to scare me (if you read any of my older entries you'd know that i have a weird fear of darkness in dreams, for some odd reason) and eventually, I woke up. kind of.

I had my right eye fully open, and my left eye was half open, but i couldn't move. My lamp was on, but my room seemed dark. I was still thinking of the dream in my head, playing it out without seeing anything. I kept telling myself to wake up, that I was already half awake, then thought, wait. I can turn this into a lucid.. all i have to do is shut my eyes... but then i decided i didn't want to because i knew that i wouldn't be able to banish the darkness around me, and that it would only be worse for me, so i stayed in that state for a few more minutes before i finally forced my eye open the rest of the way, and the room came into focus properly. When i sat up, my body still felt weird, like it was still partially asleep. I looked around for a minute before deciding to go back to sleep (lol) but yeah. very weird xD

Well, since I don't have many nightmares I figure I should post every one I have xD this is actually the first nightmare I've had in... about 4 years.

I was in this place that reminded me of a spa or a salon, but for some reason, they said they needed an x-ray of my feet. So I let them take their x-ray, and they say it didn't turn out. They say I have to put on this belt for it to work. I take the belt, and try to fasten it around my waist, but it is too short by an inch.

"I'm too fat," I say, and they give me a new one. I put on the belt, and they take another x-ray.

I am then talking to the woman who was doing the x-ray, and she is trying to explain to me how to keep your memory strong, but I'm not listening. Somehow, my mom is behind me, holding two lighters and the reflection is making the woman's eyes look creepy and demonic.

"Really, Mom?" I ask, and then the woman finally realizes what's going on.

"Oh, I see what you're doing," she says, then continues with her speech.

*Scene Change*

I'm standing in the same place, only I'm with two of my friends (they look different than in wl, but i know that one is my friend Abi, and the other is my friend Shale) we aren't talking, but Shale keeps disappearing and then reappearing to show off, and after about the 10th time, Abi gets angry, and decides to disappear just to prove that she can do it too. So I'm there alone for a moment, then Abi comes back. When Shale comes back, her eyes are red, and she is covered in blood, mostly around the neck area. She jumps at Abi and attacks her until it's pretty clear that she'd die soon. Shale ran out of the room, leaving me sitting there, and Abi gets up and runs. I see her running into a room, and telling everyone in it what happened, right before she falls and dies.

*Random Time Change*

I'm with my friends again, the same thing is happening, with Shale disappearing, and Abi getting mad and disappearing, except this time Shale comes back normal before Abi gets back.

"Hey, she actually did it!" Shale says before disappearing again.

Then she comes back again in the same way, red eyes, and covered with blood. This time, I was the only one there, so she jumps at me, and is tearing at my throat, but I only feel a weird tickling sensation (like I always do when I'm supposed to feel pain in a dream) when she continued to run out the door, I somehow keep my voice calm and ask her if I'm going to turn into whatever she was, too, and she said "No, I did something different" so I get up and run just as Abi had done before, and I wake up before getting to the room.

That's right. My 2nd LD... which happened a loong time ago, but yeah. This was on the night of July 28th, I think... but anyways.

I was standing in a meadow. I was looking around at the beauty of it. The grass was so green, and there were so many flowers. Everything was extremely beautiful. Then, after a while, I turned around, and there was a woman standing there. For some reason she kept changing forms. First she was my grandmother, then she changed and changed until I couldn't recognize her. Then I was lucid. I know now that i was on a poor level of lucidity, because I began spinning --i suppose to stabilize the dream-- but i wasn't really aware of it. I was also asking myself 'am I aware? are we both aware?' and in my head I could hear a response saying 'we are both aware.' but I kept spinning and asking. Until eventually I stopped and said aloud "We are both aware." --btw I'm not sure who i meant by "both" because i didnt mean that woman... and I wasn't telling myself we were aware... it was weird..-- then I turned back to the woman --I'm still trying to remember what she looked like-- I think she had dark brown hair, but thats about all i can remember. And I asked "What's your name?" --more proof I wasn't very lucid since any DC would only have a name if i wanted them to-- and she smiled and told me her name was Martha. Then I woke up :/

I'm still confused on the fact that I was talking to myself.. but not actually talking to.. me.. ? I don't even know how to put it.. it was just weird XD also, I'm not sure why her name was Martha, since I don't personally know anyone with that name, and it definately hasn't been a name I'd much thought about.. but I guess thats just how it works XD I havent had any more LDs since this one hopefully I will soon though!
