Memorable Dreams
//Been meaning to write this down for about a week now. Oops. I'll put the lucid parts in a different color. Dream 1 I'm walking around in a dark room, so I can't see much of my surroundings. I'm not sure what happens, but I suddenly become suspicious; I cannot remember how I got here. Since I'm alone, I jump, to see if anything strange happens. Nope, just a normal jump. I'm not convinced, so I jump again, expecting myself to float. I hover in the air a bit before floating back to the floor. I realize I'm dreaming! It takes me a second to push down the excitement. I shout for clarity a couple of times, and the dream stabilizes. I'm unsure what to do for a moment, then decide to examine my surroundings after jumping around a bit. Yes, it's still dark, but I can still see a little bit. There's a staircase to my left, so I go up. The stairs lead right into a bedroom with glass panes on the wall to my left and just ahead of me. There's a queen bed in the center of the room; someone rises out of it and stares at me, but I pay them no mind. I instead look out the window. It's stormy out, rain pelting the glass and the doors leading to the balcony. I'm about to explore more until I remember a goal I'd had for a while: to make a ball of energy in my hands. Better try it now before the dream dissolves! I move my hands to make the energy ball; I can feel energy rush into my hands, but cannot see it visually. I speak aloud and describe what I want, speaking of a blue mist. Blue wisps emanate from my hands, but no "ball" so to speak. I then describe it as a lightning ball, but then my brain associates the word "ball" with "bomb". Yeah. A loud explosion comes from outside. The glass shatters inward, the results of the bomb nearing me at a rapid rate. I'm not afraid; I simply open my physical eyes to get out of the situation. Dream 2 I wake up at this point and go back to sleep. I end up in the same dark room. I recognize this once more and go lucid. This time, I open the front door and will it to be nice and sunny. It works, sort of. I practice flying and other forms of dream control. I try to change location by closing my eyes and asking to go somewhere else, but the other location falters a bit before shooting me back in the one I first was in. Oh well. I believe I slowly lose lucidity after this.
[This is a series of dreams that occured over three nights, from June 13 to June 15 in 2017.] [June 13] I am at a festival sort of place, where there are dirt paths and stalls selling things. There are many events going on. One "show" has recently been cancelled, something about the building being unsafe. There is something amiss at this festival; children are going missing. I am trying to gather all the children without families (which is most of them) and take them to a cave, a designated "safe place". The cave seems to have a magical barrier to keep negativity out. At one point I find a little blonde girl and try to coax her into coming with me, but she disappears when I turn around and look back. [June 14] Continuing from last night, I am at the same festival, but my girlfriend is kind-of there (it's weird, she was blurry, like she was phased in from somewhere else] and a frantic young man is following me. He is shorter than me - natural, as I am my alternate self which is rather tall - and has curly brown hair and black-rimmed glasses. He is trying to tell me something, something about a bad thing going to happen. I listen to him casually while walking until a loud rumbling begins. The grond shakes, and people start running and screaming. The guy tries to say something along the lines of "I told you!" but I shoo him off and forge my own way. I am surprisingly calm for someone who thinks this is all real, slowly moving through the crowd and keeping an eye on the sky; the sky is beautiful, a prismatic shatter of color that slowly turns black. I make my way out of the festival and to a nearby farm house. There are many people inside that aren't too happy about me intruding in on their space, but I ignore it. An old man, presumably the keeper of the house, tries to trap me in an upstairs room. I easily resist his attempts and look for something I'm apparently looking for. I eventually find it: a trap door that leads to a huge underground factory. It is big enough for me to transform into my royal form, wings spread and all. I try to fly but find it difficult, and the dream fades. [June 15] I make it out of the factory and am somehow back at a different sort of festival, an indoor one. I end up at something that is drawing a crowd, some famous performer doing something I cannot remember. I watch until two officers come up to me with handcuffs and tell me to come with them. I get the feeling I should listen, so I comply without protest. On the way to their vehicle, cuffed and all, I feel a man press a key into my palm and whisper to hold onto it. I stuff it on the side of my panties, where they hopefully won't search. We drive to the holding station, where I sit on a bench and the officers explain the "situation" to someone else. Somehow, my cuffs loosen, and I sneak away. I go through a few doors and am suddenly in an underground mountainous area, airy and full of light yet so artificial. As I walk through here, a voice begins speaking to me: the man from earlier. He tell me where to go and I eventually am led to a door with a key slot. I still have the key he gave me, and it fits perfectly. Thing is, it only opens to more scenery. The voice tells me to be patient. I trust him and keep going; a little hiking and a weird cougar later, I stop at the mouth of a waterfall. The voice tells me to go through the waterfall. A strange blue creature comes forth from the falls, beckoning me in. I obey, going through. Things are strange on the other side. So much so, that my first reaction is to turn back around...but then walk back in. The place has many vivid colors and strange creatures, plants, and such glowing, odd scenery in general (think Wonderland, really). A pink creature greets me, and then I wake up.
I am in the car with my family. We are talking about death and the afterlife. At some point, I mention not being afraid of death. This leads into someone handing me a bomb, the rest of my family disappearing, and the bomb going off. The pain is momentarily unbearable, a searing white-hot burn coursing through every bit of my body. Even worse is the immense, crushing pressure. Once the burn ebbs away, the pressure increases, and a loud silence pulses. It feels like I'm breaking apart. Suddenly I am somewhere else, and someone is asking for my information at a desk. I ignore her and look arond. It looks like an old house converted into a wellness center. There are a lot of confused poeple of all ages shuffling around. Someone yells out, "Come this way if you want answers," so I decide to follow the voice and check it out. I go where the man directs. The room I walk into next looks like an old classroom with wooden desks; there are already many people seated, waiting expectantly. As I sit, I realize something isn't right and try to push my fingers through my palm. It doesn't work the first time, but my fingers push through the second time. I quickly pull them out and stare in wonder. The mistake I make here is instead of realizing I'm dreaming, I believe I am dead. The instructor is going on about something irrelevant until I interrupt him and say, "I'm dead, right?" He stares at me and slowly says "yes" in a quiet voice. Instead of being upset, I become curious and start asking questions regarding afterlife and the astral planes. People look at me, confused, and whispering amongst each other. I'm eventually ushered out of the room (I did do a demonstration of how I pushed my fingers through my palm, maybe that's what did me in) and the instructor tells me to keep quiet. I ignore him and move on to explore. I find the basement of the house, and thus find something strange. There are hundereds of "cores", strange bowl-like crystalline structures that change colors constantly. They appear in sets of five, the middle corse containing a black orb. I know these are the people's life cores, and my own. Sometime later on, a creature smashes through the wall. It's huge and looks reptilian, and causes immense chaos. It smashes many of the cores, including some of mine, and I hunch over in pain. I run back up the stairs, yelling and warning people about the creature. Seems like the excitement wakes me up.
I am outside. There is a party going on, and I am in a wood, at a picnic table, with about 5 other people. This wood is sparse; just enough to provide a bit of cover, but I can see across the path, to a body of water, and a dock with little boats. There is a house, an old style farm house in the distance. The rest of the party is held there. I don't remember my outfit, but I am wearing something dark. Anyway, I am just hanging around, because for some reason I cannot leave this location even after trying to (I am semi-lucid). There is an asian woman, a man with long hair, and a guy with a scruffy goatee and a flannel shirt. Everything is fine until they decide to kill me. The woman morphs into a snake, another into a wolf, and they strike at me. I dodge them and finally say something that makes the morph back. The woman laughs as gold sparkles shower her form, as if it is all a game to her. After this, I make a point to go into the house, and hang out in the kitchen. It has hard floors and paneling, with a ktichen island with people sitting around it. Across from the kitchen is the living room and a set of stairs, but I don't go up them or into the living room. I lean against a wall, chatting with someone, when some girl suddenly tumbles in from upstairs and falls to the ground, sobbing. She has long brown hair covering her face and looks vaguely familiar so I try to get a closer look. That's when I wake up. //Turns out this person was definitely someone I know. I won't go into details, but said person described the place in complete details, we were just in different parts of the dreamscape.
[From November 21, 2016] I am trapped in a cage most of this dream. There is a huge wall of cages that contain a lot of people I know, but I only speak with my captor and the boy in the cage next to me...Denarius. He's shown up in many of my previous dreams, and it seems now that he is in his cage on purpose, following me in my dreams. I've also seen him in labs and factories, strange how he seems to show up in places of experimentation. I don't know what I've done, but I have no way out. I am trapped in here for a long time, only given food each day. Eventually, Denarius casually remarks about this being a dream and phases right out of the cage. His familiar face combined with the action snaps me into lucidity for the moment. With this knowledge, I manipulate the bars to let me out, and I believe we escape together, but I lose lucidity at this point and wake up.
[From November 17, 2016] I don't remember the beginning, but here we go. I am staying at someone's house. Apparently, I have done something wrong, so I am placed in this room with "evil" spirits who are meant to drive me insane. Yes, there are spirits in this room. One is particularly active. I can only see him when he comes close to me, and he disappears when he moves too far away. He looks terrifying: a black humanoid mass with a crooked head, bloodshot eyes and a wide-open mouth. I am at first afraid, but soon notice the way he shies away when I come near. He does not intend to hurt me. He seems curious, but afraid. I greet him and begin talking to him, using humor and turning the lights off to make the environment more comfortable. Slowly his form changes into something more human and then into a man, now emitting a bright blue glow. I am cracking jokes and making him laugh; as he smiles, his aura glows brighter. He is wearing something rather silly - booty shorts and a tropical shirt. He cannot physically speak, but communicates through vibrations, which works better than words in this situation. We talk about art; apparently he is an artist, so I conjure some of my artwork. He also enjoys talking about holidays and Halloween. He has some rather fond memories of his family. I ask him why he is wearing such a ridiculous outfit, and he says he thinks it is rather funny. As we communicate, other spirits gather around. One is another man and the other is a woman who adorns a tangle of red hair. They all look weathered, but lighten up as they listen in and communicate with me and the others. The dream ends shortly after this. It was a rather pleasant dream.
I didn't journal on here yesterday because it wasn't interesting enough to report (still wrote it down in my paper journal, though!). Last night, however, was very interesting. I'm walking down the hall of a large mansion (you know, the stereotypical haunted house kind of place) with a rather large group of people. On one side of me is a woman with fiery red hair swept up in a messy bun, and on the other side is Owl. Something doesn't seem right about this, and I start questioning my reality, trying to remember how I had gotten here. I need no reality check this time, as I suddenly remember the last thing I had done is gone to bed. This has to be a dream! The lucidity is really strong. I laugh softly to myself, touching the wall, my clothes, everything, marveling at how real everything feels. I stay calm, repeating "this is a dream" in my mind, trying to stay conscious. I look over to Owl, and half-hoping she's real, I whisper to her, "Do you know you're dreaming?" She doesn't respond, looking straight ahead as she walks. Definitely not Owl. It's much harder than I expect to stay conscious. I feel really tired, and want to go back to "sleep", but my resolve is fairly strong. Because of this tiredness, however, I feel as if I have no energy to try and go anywhere else. I decide to stay in this dream and see how it plays out, because I'm very curious. The group ends up in this big room. A voice booms out from above. I no longer remember the exact words, but the voice says we have all been selected to perform a task. Once our task has been explained, all of us are transported to our respective locations. I think I lose lucidity for a while, because I don't remember the task (I do become aware again after this). I'm on a beautiful terrain of flatland grass, the occasional tree. The sky is bright and blue, but no sign of a sun or any light source. I travel this way for a while, all alone, in wonder at the lovely sights, shouting "clarity" whenever my vision starts to fade (I have problems with going blind in lucid dreams). Eventually I become bored with traveling and summon a video-game style map to go somewhere else. The only location on the map is a fortress, so I tap on the image and go there (This is how I move around, usually. My gamer brain understands a digital interface best). The fortress is huge, meant for someone much larger than I, but also run down, crumbling. I decide to explore the outside first before going inside. Then, suddenly... "Hey!" I turn at the sound of my name. A man is running toward me with a smile on his face -- it's Denarius! [ Denarius is the name of a dc I've seen in many dreams.] I haven't seen Denarius ever in forvever so I'm surprised, but not so happy, to see him. He did leave me when I asked for him, so I did not forget that. It's nice to see a familiar face, all the same. First thing he says after this is "So you're stuck here too? I got bored with my task but couldn't leave this place, so I decided to search for familiar faces. I'm happy to see you!" He babbles on and on, but then I say, "You LEFT me." That shuts him up quickly. His gaze drops to the ground. "We shouldn't talk about that here." I continue to question him about our last meeting, and how he brushed me off so easily, and how I haven't heard from him in months, but he keeps evading my probing, as if he's afraid. Keeps saying he can't talk about it. I give up on getting any information from him and idly chat. I enter the fortress. The layout is insane, very hard to navigate, but I manage. At this point, I lose lucidity, so I barely remember it, but there are many people in this fortress, it's no where near abandoned. Some things happen but it's all so blurry. Denarius leaves at some point, distinctly saying we'll see each other soon. I become frustrated at not being able to complete my task. Somehow, this frustration makes my brain click together again; oh yeah, I'm dreaming! I recall I'm supposed to be performing a task here, but what? What was it? I exit the fortress, annoyed. I have the sudden realization that I'm probably oversleeping right now. This dream has gone on a long time, something isn't right. I try to wake myself up, but I'm scoffed at from a voice from above. That's when a huge creature crashes out of the fortress: twice my size, humanoid but so animal at the same time, with huge armor and angry orange eyes. It has its eyes trained on me. Oh, no. I have no idea what to do, how to fight something so monstrous. The creature is chasing me around, and I'm running as fast as I can. It ends up catching me, starting to strangle me, but I can breathe just fine. I once again remember this is a dream, and my options for ending this creature are endless. I struggle out of its grasp and intuitively focus all of my energy into my hands. My hands start to glow and grow warm. I channel all this energy between my two palms, making a huge ball of heat. I release the energy, the ball catches fire and hurls at the creature. The fireball makes contact with the creature. Instead of it catching fire...it immediately disintegrates into black ash. I realize my task has been completed, and I wake up. And just as I thought, I overslept. It was 1pm when I finally awakened.

The dream started with being at work...again. But! This time, it went beyond work, and what happened after work was much more interesting. I've just gotten off of work, and pick up Owl and a couple other friends to go to the Pride festival (I was talking with a friend about this yesterday, so it makes sense how this showed up in my dream). We have a great time, and I wander off... And end up in a strange place with a series of staircases. The staircases are going up and down, full of people. I think they are waiting for a bathroom. I ignore these staircases and go outside. Outside is a more Western-style scene, with log cabins and the like. I'm waiting on someone to come out of this building when a man approaches, flirting with me. He says something extremely rude and I knock him to the ground, impaling him with an umbrella I suddenly have. The person I'm waiting on finally comes outside, a shocked, but mildly impressed, expression on her face. Then I don't remember if this is a different dream or if the same dream just changed again, but somehow, I die. I'm shot and I exit my body, I am formless, I am free. It feels so nice, I am at peace. I'm in the same spot, still, it's just that no one can see my formless self. Someone starts speaking with me about this afterlife, but I cannot see them either. After a time, I look for someone in particular. I find my grandmother (she passed away last February. Also, I still can't see her, but it's her voice and I sense her presence) and she's really happy to hear from me. She seems to understand I'm not actually dead (something I didn't understand while in the dream) and we have along conversation. I ask her what her afterlife has been like. She says she's the most relaxed and at peace she has ever been in her life. She says she's traveled everywhere, residing at lakes and other bodies of water as much as she can. She asks me how my family is doing, and that she misses us, and she loves us. That's when I wake up.
The dream started out interesting, then it turned into another school dream... My "family" and I are going on a long trek to find Peter Pan. MY "family" consists of an old man who is the leader, driving an RV (Like Dale from The Walking Dead.. ), my "mother" who is Wendy from the Peter Pan movies, and my normal dad. We have a huge tour bus/RV style vehicle. We are at a beautiful spot: a lovely enchanted forest with some docks leading to a sparkling lake. I think we do find Peter Pan, and "Wendy" goes with him, but that part is blurry. I think I wake up in the middle of the night, go back to sleep, and the dream changes. Now it's the first day of my senior year of high school, and the counselors have completely effed up my class schedule. I'm completely outraged upon realizing my first class of the day is "Burping 101"! Not only that, but the school would not give us an actual schedule to keep, we had to remember what we were told, once. I wrote my class schedule on my hand. So many students are so upset about this that they have a strike in the lunch room, refusing to go to their classes. Campus police end up forcing us to move along, but everyone is so confused. I end up arguing to a teacher about my schedule, and she agrees that it is utterly odd and has no idea what happened. The only normal class I seem to have is AP Comp Literature...the other ones are Advanced Geometry and Tristonometry...? Whatever. So yeah, more nonsense, but I have noticed that my dreams are much more vivid now. I'm slowly improving my skill!
I am in a combat situation. I am fighting this man; I know I have no chance against him, yet I still fight. I am eventually defeated, but he does not kill me. Instead, he takes me for his own, imprisoning me for an indefinite period of time. I have no clue how long I am in this prison. All I know is I am not given enough nourishment in this place, and am slowly growing frail. The man comes around and takes me out of my prison, bringing me to this place of glass. The entire building looks modernistic, yet all of the walls are made of glass. I am alone in this particular room, except for the armor in the corner I am to wear later, but I can see a group of men talking in another room. If I listen closely enough, I can hear what they're saying. They're talking about an upcoming fight, about how tough this contender is, and how this girl doesn't stand a chance. Through listening to them, I realize I'm being set up for a fight with someone. Really, in my condition? What fun is fighting a weak girl? While being frustrated about this and awaiting my "opponent", I hear a tapping on one of the glass walls. There is a rose, petals waving wildly, trying to get my attention! I let the rose in, and is slithers into my room. It is a little worse for wear, most of the petals having wilted away. That doesn't seem to detract from it's spirit, however, because it starts talking really fast as if it has so much to say in a short amount of time. This is the part I barely remember, sadly, but the rose tells that I need to leave immediately, that this was a setup, that this would lead to permanent damage. Then, the conversation turns strange. It actually answers a question I've been asking every night before I go to bed. It tells me the location of someone I've been looking for. It did not tell me the exact location, but enough for me to go on. It tells me I need to go to her, and help her, for she will need the training. The rose says more, but I no longer remember, as this was the tail end of the dream. That's all I remember.

I think this lucid dream (it seemed a lot more like an OBE, but it doesn't really matter) also occurred when I was about five or six, a little while after the first. And for someone my age, this one was a nightmare. I "woke up" in my bed. Upon getting up, I suddenly realized I could feel my body still sleeping in my bed, yet here I was, standing up and fully awake! I walked down the hall of my house, heading toward my parents room to see if I could see them sleeping. For some reason, there was small patches of the floor that were on fire. Once I was in my parent's room, all seemed well, but their closet door was open wide. They had one of those big walk in closets, so I went inside. Perched upon the top shelf was a strange looking dark creature that I considered to be a vampire at the time. It didn't do much of anything but stare at me, but seeing anything so hideous at my young age was utterly terrifying, and I willed my self to wake up by forcing my waking-self's eyes open.
