    More Affirmations

    ----------------
Last night, I wrote my affirmation: I remember my dreams vividly and recall them in detail when I wake.

Then, I drew a line beneath the affirmation, read for a while, and before I fell asleep I repeated the affirmation.

It seems I forgot to clue my subconscious in on a few things:

    1. I need to actually write the dream down.
    2. -or maybe this should be #1 - I need to stay awake long enough to do #1.

    *sigh*

I woke several times during the night and I KNOW each time I woke it was because I had a dream. I remembered the dream when I woke .... BUT...I rolled right over and went back to sleep.

Tonight, I will adjust the affirmation to INCLUDE staying awake to record the dream.

Good luck! How do you record your dreams when you wake up? Do you get out of bed and write out the whole dream? If so, it might be a bit easier to remember to stay awake if you have something beside the bed and just take quick short notes so you can get back to sleep faster I often find myself so sleepy I think to myself, "Oh I'll remember that, no need to write it down." but then forget when I fall asleep. I found that by keeping my cell phone by the bed and typing only key words into my phone notes, I can often connect the keywords to the dream and remember what happened after I read my notes. Though, at times I do end up looking at them and thinking what does that mean?! lol But it's easier than trying to write out a full dream in the middle of the night when all you want to do is sleep, and you don't need as much motivation to wake up. My phones actually where I can reach it without even rolling over if I wake on my back or left side because I'm lazy and if I had to sit up or get out of bed to write my notes it would never happen

Good ideas, thank you. I do keep a journal/notepad on my nightstand which is right by my bed. All I'd have to do is roll my lazy self over and grab the pen that is ON TOP OF THE PAPER! *sigh* But I rolled the other way and fell back to sleep. Someone else also suggested using a tape recorder/mp3 player and just speak into the recorder. The key thing is that for any of these - one must intend to either pick up the cell phone, pen, mp3 player and then make the notes. I do only record keywords - WHEN - I roll the correct way and pick up the pen. Thnx for reading for the great ideas!!!!

Another thing that works Goldenlight is this. try setting a peaceful song of your choice to wake you up a few hours after you fall asleep, (Not recommended if you have to wake up early mornings) set it a few feet from the bed with the recording device next to it. Next, record what you can remember, then set that peaceful music to a 60 or 90 min snooze (Only recommended if you want to chain your lucid dreams or OBEs together) next to your night stand and your subconscious will now be programmed to do this tecnique on days that you want to experiment with loads of lucid dreams or OBEs.

That sounds interesting.... I fall asleep pretty fast so it wouldn't be too late. Currently, I only have the MOST heinous alarm clock known to humankind. But I think my Sony Cd/Radio 'might' have an alarm on it b/c I accidentally set it once and it went off in the middle of the night and my hubby and I FREAKED out. We didn't know how to stop it from just turning on. We played with buttons until we got lucky and it stopped going off.

LMAO! Oh ok, just make sure this time to stuff some earplugs in your husbands ears so it does not freak him out again! Haha and a Sony Cd/Radio just may do the trick. Do you have any peaceful stations you can leave it on?

Yes, classical stations would do just fine for me.
