~ Shadow of The Subconciouse ~

After a few nights past my last entry I had noticed some odd happenstances which triggered my attention. The dreams were more lucid, stable and my dream control was fantastic. However, I myself, was losing balance alot. I kept tripping over myself or sort of hydroplaning on my feet. After a few runs through an obstacle course in a training grounds area i often visit in my dreams, my very own shadow came out from under me whilst i was stumbling over myself once more, and began choking me, saying " I TOLD YOU TO DRAW A TAIL YOU DIP$#!%!"
I woke up and didnt fully recall the dream until later that night. I picked up the 2- dimensional drawing i had done of my dream control form and decided to brush off the dream and leave the picture how it was, as i did not appreciate a tail. The next night was profoundly odd. The first thing i can recall is appearing in dream world with my shadow glaring at me and tapping its foot. I decided to ignore it and go about my dream elsewhere however my shadow followed me, smiling. I begin to be chased by odd creatures in my dream that seem to de stabalize the dream itself and wake me up when i interact with them. I jump into the air and spin around, activating my dream control form, or so i thought and falling on my face. My shadow laughs at me. "WTF?!" i reply. I get back onto my feet determined to get away from these creatures. When i notice I have a tail... a light blue regular size bird tail attached to my backside. My shadow is now cackling as he runs along side me. "What the hell are you doing?" I ask. "Hey, you wouldnt draw the tail so you get whatever i feel like." I run a bit more but the realisation i have a little birdy tail annoys me and i stop running alltogether, being caught by the creatures and waking up. I havent seen my shadow the nights hence, as I decided it was time to draw a tail seeing as my subconciouse was litterally sabotaging my dreams. I will say that the tail does make my dream control form look better and ... it is alot easier to balance with one also and can come in handy when your hands arent free so whatever my shadow was correct.

My friend! I have the same problem with the tripping over and stuff. I feel really drunk and I can't walk straight. I even makes it impossible for me to stabilize...

If you find a cure tell me please.

There is a cure. You can't stabalize because you aren't stable. Either you aren't stable at all or you lose stability rapidly and often i'm asuming. I personally have my own methods of Dream Control and obtaining Stability and achieving Lucidity. Personally, I suggest that dreams are controlled wholey by the subconciouse. When one obtains Lucidity, Stability or Dream Control, this is using the conciouse part of our minds. This often makes our dreams unstable, as we were in our youth, learning to walk. Its almost as if youre using different muscles, accept the muscles are your conciouse and subconciouse minds and you must learn to balance them out.

THE CURE: I refer to this subject with the terms, Auto Pilot and Manual Control. One can still have a Lucid dream that is out of ones control but is still just as vivid and memorable. This is known as Auto, like auto pilot on a vehicle, you seem to go into auto pilot. You let the dream world run its course as you seem to interact and flow with your imagination. This can either cause loss of lucidity, or it can re stabalize a dream, once dream control has stressed the fabric of the dream world. Using Dream Control in either a barely memorable or a Lucid dream in my experience is the same as going into Manual. Your Manual control is when one specificly makes a conciouse decision to act and succesfully achieves the goal of said action. Example: One sees a delicious apple, picks it up and eats it. yum. = Manual control ; Example 2: One sees a delicious apple, picks it up and moans loudly, throwing the apple at the wall. wtf. = Auto Pilot

As you can see the way in which the two situations differ is that in the first decision, the person made a conciouse decision to eat the apple and concerned the subject long enough to achieve eating it. Whilst the other scenario was a more common form of dream, a random happenstance for no particular reason.

These two are different forms of dreaming. Either you can chose to walk the road you so wish, or you can drift off the path and find new places. Manual Control = Conciouse Mind , Auto Pilot = Subconciouse Mind. By balancing these two out you can gain longer, more interesting and more interactive dreams.

CONCLUSION: I suggest the next time you achieve Lucidity and are becoming unstable. Rest on one knee, both knees, etc, but in a position which you would normally be ready to stand back up in. Just by doing nothing other than standing in the same pose for few seconds and taking a breather should in theory give your subconciouse time to catch up with the conciouse decisions which you are making.
