Non-Lucid Dreams
Hey guys! Here's my dream, it was pretty all over the place, so if you have any thoughts on it, that'd be great! Also, some of the symbolism perplexes me because I had no contact with it yesterday. It starts out and I'm doing my field tropical biology program, basically going from place to place, moving around a lot. For the courses we had free time, people went hiking, but I didn't even though I really like it (in the dream it's kind of like i have extensive memories of some of the course but i didn't actually do a lot of it in the dream). Anyway there were two really memorable scenes for me: I'm with some people guarding some antiques in a shop and this strange bejeweled turtle creature enters and it really want to take something but I won't let it. It was really aggressive and started trying to tug some object/paper (?) out of my hand, it even turned the lights off so i couldn't see it. It snapped at my fingers which was really painful, cracking some of my fingernails in half. Even so, I managed to retain the object. That turtle seemed evil. In the other scene I was at school and I walked over to my friend's room (well more than just a friend) and the door was open and I was going there for some reason. I walked in and he was there, sleeping in his bed naked. I felt really awkward, so started to leave, so he wouldn't see me. Once I got to the door, I look back and he was sitting up in his bed just kind of looking ahead. All of a sudden two other girls from my trip came and were talking to him (they don't really know him in real life) and so I couldn't... Instead, I hugged my friend, Edwin, who then reminded me of a big part of my project for class that I had completely forgotten. I don't really remember too much more, wish I had more details, it was very choppy... Background: I am currently a college student studying abroad in Panama. I was dating the "friend" before I left for Panama and will now be returning in a couple weeks. I'm definitely anxious/nervous about that at the moment. I also just don't understand the turtle part. Thanks!
