    Elevator of Destiny

I was at school talking to some kid in the hallway. The countdown clocks were counting down fast, and my class was at the other end of the school and downstairs. I followed the kid hurriedly down the stairs and hallway until we reached this elevator. The clock still showed like 1min and 38sec, but I knew the elevator would take some time. There was some teacher guy standing by the elevator and he said something like “This elevator will take you to your destiny.” I got in the elevator and was worried that it would break down or something. Part of me knew this was a dream because I thought “If I keep on thinking that the elevator will break down, then it will.” I don’t remember what happened after that.

    Germany Host Family

I was going to Germany for a week to live with a host family. I was going with other German students/teachers(who I never actually saw in the dream) who didn’t have enough students to go with them so they asked some Spanish students to come so I joined in.

I don’t remember the plane ride or arriving there. The first thing I remember was greeting everyone in their house. The girl who was going to be my friend/guide person in the house was Bethany(or Becca.. or Sasha.. or something). She was the same age as me. She lived with her mom, her dad, her older brother, and like 2 other sisters in a small house. I was kind of nervous to meet all of them at first, but when Bethany and I met we started talking and didn’t stop for what seemed like an hour. She was really easy to talk to, and we had a lot in common. One thing we had in common was photography. I told her I had a crappy camera and asked her what kind she had. I think she had some fancy camera and said she would show it to me later.

After awhile of talking, she took me upstairs to her room. Her room was about half the size of mine with a slanted ceiling. There was a bed in a corner that had velvet bedsheets and big white shelves with pictures on it on the opposite side. Everything was written in English, and I asked her why. She said that she spoke English pretty well and would write pretty much everything in it. At one time she was even doing her homework in English. We talked some more and then got tired and both of us fell asleep for like 5 minutes on her bed. I didn’t want to take a nap so I prevented myself from sleeping any longer and she woke up also and we went back downstairs.

She showed me the outside of her house, which was a neighborhood with small colorful houses. I really wanted to walk around the block and explore but instead we went back in the house. Her sister had out her camera that looked kind of like mine and insisted that we take a picture. I stood next to two of her sisters and one of them hugged me while her brother took a picture. It was kind of awkward but I went along with it.

Next thing I know, the whole family is going shopping. We went to this supermarket which was about the same size as grocery stores here. Bethany was walking really slowly while her mom and sister were walking really fast. I tried to keep up with them but then I lost sight of Bethany and got stuck with this black lady with an animal printed bandana. Her mom turned around and saw me rushing to keep up with them. I just didn’t want to lose that family in a store in Germany. She said something like “If you are going to freak out like that, I’m going to have to put this needle in your toe.” I have no idea what the point of that was, but the next thing I knew she was talking off my shoes and she put a small needle underneath one of my toenails. It actually didn’t hurt that much, but it started bleeding a lot. She went up to one of the cash registers and I tried to follow her but was kind of limping and couldn’t walk that fast.

When we got home, they unpacked there food and I felt bad about not helping them but I didn’t know where anything went. They made dinner, which was like salad and something else… I liked the food though. When I was done I put my fork and knive in the open fridge with all the other utensils(I don’t know why they put them there). They talked about the meal plan for the next few days, which actually sounded really good to me. It was like American food.

Then, Bethany’s brother and sisters wanted to take me to his brother’s room. I looked for Bethany but found her in her room with a sick bucket by her bed. She had some kind of flu. So I left her and followed her brother and sisters down some secret passageway. It look like 5 minutes of going through maze-like small hallways to reach his room. It was really cool though. The ceiling was low but the room was really wide. I thought it would be weird there without Bethany but it was actually kind of fun. They wanted to take me somewhere, I forgot where.. to like do something bad.. or put on a show or something in the neighborhood.. I agreed to it. They took me up this steep path but I couldn’t seem to get up a hill. I tried multiple times but just couldn’t make it. I don’t think I ever made it up that hill.

I remember going back to Bethany’s bedroom. It was now like the 3rd day. She was still sick, and I was sad that I didn’t get to spend any more time with her. I wondered when and if we were ever going to go to her school, which I was kind of excited/nervous about. At one point, my mom even came to visit. I felt kind of bad because I left without really telling anyone so I was worried that she would think I was missing. But there she was, sitting on the couch in the host family’s house.
    I don’t remember anything else.

During this dream, part of me recognized that I was dreaming but I really didn’t want to wake up because I was having fun and I wished that I could stay there until the week ended.
