After waking up in the middle of the morning, I decided to try the WILD technique (Wake Initiated Lucid Dream). I have never done it successfully. I did not ever become lucid this time either, but something pretty cool did happen. As I was drifting off into sleep, I was trying to focus on a forest scene where I wanted my dream to take place. I was thinking of a particular spot that I liked in the woods of Torreya State Park. Lo and behold, the setting of my dream was some woods very similar to that. It was very hilly just like the place I was thinking of. So even though I didn't WILD, the power of just thinking about those woods was enough to influence my mind once I was in a dream. I think that's awesome and it probably was not a coincidence because as much as I love hiking out in the woods, I have not had many dreams of being in the woods that I can recall. I don't remember much about the dream besides the fact that I was in those woods. I did not record it right away like I usually do and I wish I would have. I was just being lazy and wanted to go back to sleep for a little while before I had to go to work. I do remember that I had a big scab on my left shoulder from falling down somehow and my dad was asking me about the scab. It's weird that he knew about it because I didn't tell him and I was wearing a shirt. I told him that it happened during a game of Capture the Flag.
