Experiments in Lucid Living
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 0 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 0 lucid experiences note: - tried out my new ZEO setup, with USB attached to a laptop for real time night tracking. When the laptop reads REM sleep from the ZEO it triggers a sound to indicate that it's "LD time". - unfortunately the software I wrote needs a few adjustments, but I hope to try again tonight with a few bug fixes - this new setup resulted in a poor night's sleep, with a poorly executed, way too early, WBTB
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 0 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 0 lucid experiences note: - could not force myself to get up for the alarm to add the wake portion of the WBTB - late deep sleep, I need to understand why this is occurring, it seems to always indicate nights with no LDs
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 1 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 1 lucid experiences note: - took the galantamine during the alarm at 6AM, got up for about an hour and then went back to sleep - had the LD immediately after going back to sleep, the galantamine worked very well for keeping a clear mind
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 0 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 0 lucid experiences note: - great sleep score at 105, with the WBTB that makes for a long duration - no LDs, despite many spirited dreams - strangely there are two short periods of deep sleep right after the WBTB, with that much sleep these don't normally occur that far into the night
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 0 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 3 lucid experiences note: - I did have two beers last night against best practice mentioned earlier - with the extra long period of wake in the WBTB, I was setup nicely for some LDs - lately I'm starting to switch from RC induced LDs to imagery induced LDs. This occurs when I go to sleep watching the imagery I see with my eyes closed until it becomes concrete enough that it is a dream scene.
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 1 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 0 lucid experiences note: - the late deep sleep in the chart just confirms that sleep scores in the 80's are just not high enough, I need to be scoring in the 100's to get that nice light sleep that yields LDs towards the end of the night - factors to control (exercise, hydration, food after 6PM, no alcohol, before midnight sleeping)
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 0 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 0 lucid experiences note: - even 1 beer is enough alcohol to adjust your level of brain acticvity during a nights sleep, I have never had an LD with even the smallest amount of alcohol before sleep
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 0 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 0 lucid experiences note: - looks like I was paying off some sleep debt, need to reexamine my getting to sleep routine
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 0 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 1 lucid experiences skills practiced: flying (extended control) note: WBTB + MILD = walked straight from awake at 6AM into LD and then straight into flying with a lot of control
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 1 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 0 lucid experiences note: - galantamine didn't have much effect tonight
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 0 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 0 lucid experiences note: - did a standard WBTB with a MILD to get back to sleep but felt like the sleep was so heavy. Based on the charts lately seems like I'm running a slight sleep deficiet which is catching up with me.
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 1 dose galantamine + choline - 2400mg Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 2 lucid experiences skills practiced: stabilization (looking at hands), walking through solid objects, talking to DCs note: - galantamine still made it quite difficult to get to sleep no chart today because of user error with fixing the date on the zeo, should finally be fixed
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 0 dose galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 3 lucid experiences skills practiced: hovering, walking through solid objects note: - the LDs are a combination of WBTB and the Saltcube technique which is really just the Saltcube
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - 2 dose galantamine + choline - 2400mg Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 0 lucid experiences note: - this is about the worst sleep chart you'll ever see - double dose of galantamine makes it very difficult to sleep after it's hit
took: - no 5-HTP before going to sleep - no galantamine + choline - no Piracetam when I got up lucid dreaming: 1 lucid experiences note: very high ZQ score 112, that's a lot of sleep
