    Lucid dream help!! :(

    by , 03-17-2015 at 03:15 AM (438 Views)
this isn't about an actual lucid dream but, for some odd reason i can't do it anymore. I can't get in a comfortable position at night and go off in a more trance like sleep. This is what is keeping me from doing that. Well, ill lay down and everyone once a week or so ill tell myself, hey i want to dream lucid tonight and dream about stuff/something. So i sit in my bed and try to get comfortable but, i can't sleep in the dark anymore in my room. Its very strange i feel as if I'm being watched. So i always have to turn on my tv, which is a distraction to lucid dreaming. If someone can please help me overcome this fear of someone watching me and being by me then i can do it again. Like i can tell myself hey this thing/fake imagination being can't hurt me and its not really there but i feel like it is and its blocking my way from doing this anymore.

Well there is your problem. Stop trying to go directly into an LD at night. Although dropping directly into a lucid dream when you go to bed is possible (I've done it 4 times over 5 years) It's not recommended because it is difficult, frustrating and requires a lot of willpower and just the right conditions.

If I were you, I would change your approach. Stop worrying about the feeling that something is watching you when you lucid dream at night and just focus on going to sleep. In the wee hours of the morning, when the sun comes up, you could try a WBTB and fall asleep using your technique and focusing on lucid dreaming then. You will probably find that your technique is much more successful too.

so just sleep and lucid will come too me? but it never happens that much anymore and when it does its feels very quick and like I'm just picking pieces out of what i could actually be dreaming.
