    2nd Off and on Lucid!

Last night I had my second Lucid experience!

It was a really unique dream... I had full control, however I didn't realize I was dreaming - I just accepted I was all powerful. I was a private investigator in a huge city, and a bit through my dream I developed God-Like powers. I could do anything.

I used these powers and became a super hero, hunting down my nemesis for the length of my quite-long dream. It was great. The dream was populated with thousands of DC, just like a real city, and it was incredibly vibrant. I found myself on a rooftop bar after my nemesis had narrowly escaped, and something about the place made me think... Wait... Am I in a dream? I realized that I was dreaming, and I got incredibly excited because I had all these wonderful powers. I looked at a table where my friend was sitting and did a Darth Vader force choke at it, and it began to shake. I still had my powers! I remembered a quote from Sageous that said I should forget entirely about stablizing because it actually more often than not led to destabalization. So instead I jumped off the huge Sky Scraper I was on and landed softly on the ground. My friend followed me, with Frozone type powers from the Incredibles. I began to sprint as fast as I could down the street, cars and headlights blurred into a single line as I broke the sound barrier. Suddenly, my friend pointed out our nemesis running a bit ahead of us and I was sucked back into the dream, consumed by the chase. I was still vaguely aware that this was a dream, but I didn't take control again, probably because it was so fun!

    What a great time!

I meditated for a half an hour an hour before bed, and took one 5mg Melatonin. Then before bed I did an in-depth MILD, by stating my intentions. Very cool!

Awesome lucid! Sounds like some awesome dream control you've got there.
Also, you might want to make the lucid parts of your dream a more significant color, for example, this is my color code for my dream journal entries:
      NOTES/COMMENTSLUCIDNONLUCID
      Keep up the good work!

The lucid part was supposed to be blue, however the coding got messed up and I don't know how to edit a DJ after I submit :/. I don't like reading red text though so I try to keep it blue and black haha. Thanks for the tip!

But yea it was such a fun dream. I wish I had maintained control longer but not waking up straight away is a huge step for me!

Congratulations, Raven! Now that sounds like fun! I love the fact that you became lucid in the middle of a dream that already had an awesome premise. That's a time where DILD-based techniques really shine... getting dropped into a great scenario that your subconscious has already cooked up is a whole lot of fun.

That's some excellent dream control there, particularly for your 2nd LD. You are coming along quickly!

BTW, if you want to edit your entry, there should be a little pencil thing if you hover your mouse to the right of the title. I would edit it for you but my Dream Guide powers don't appear to extend to Dream Journals.

Ah! Canis! Thank you so much I never would have seen the pencil. Gonna fix it right now!

But yea it was a great scenario, and it was a blast. But its both a blessing and a curse - had it been boring I could have focused more on dream goals, instead I had to be a superhero! I shouldn't complain though Meditation really helps I find.

      Thanks for the comment!

Hey, man, that's totally normal... when you're faced with a dream scenario that good, it's almost impossible not to just enjoy it. It would be a bit of a shame not to! LDs will sometimes hand you such an embarrassment of riches that you will wind up having to pass on some cool opportunity.

That's part of why the more of them you have, the more of them you want to have to do all the cool stuff you couldn't get to in the last one.

I'm glad that the meditation is working well for you! I'd like to do more with meditation myself.
