    First Lucid Moment

    I was in some type of helicopter with about 5 people I don't know. The helicopter had no doors so everything was wide open and we were high up in the air. The people I was with were very nice after I had mentioned I was terrified of anything to do with flying or heights. I closed my eyes and started singing a fleetwood mac song to distract myself from the fact that I was up so high in the air. Suddenly it dawned on me that I was dreaming. I thought to myself, it's okay you are dreaming - nothing bad can happen to you. After that one thought my consciousness went back to regular dreaming and the dream was no longer lucid. I'm still pretty excited that I had that moment though! Getting close!

      Its great that you're keeping a public dream journal right off the bat, it will really help you gain lucidity. I hope you can use this first experience as a motivator for your next dream . Trust me, once you get your first lucid of considerable length, it will push you even more Pity that you went back to normal dreaming, it doesn't usually happen. Good luck, and happy dreaming!

      Awesome job on the first lucid! My first wasn't that amazing either, but the first feeling is always amazing.
