    My first!

I'm so excited-and p.o.ed. I have been trying to have a Lucid for about a week and on atempt 4 (1-3 were all failures), I had one! It was last night. I have a big 'A' written all over (on my mirror and hand, for example) so that when I see them, I do reality checks. Well because of this, I have been in the habit of doing the plugged-nose-breathing one really often, especially in bed. So I am in bed and decide that I should do one for funzies and don't you know, I was able to breath! I remember thinking loudly (if that's possible) "I'm Dreaming!" and then I woke up for reals.

Special note: If you are reading this and you are a first timer having troubles, I would suggest trying the MILD method. The first 3 times I tried the WILD method with absolutely no progress (granted it was only 3 nights). The MILD worked the first time, even though it was for only a moment.

How long did you try the MILD technique and what was your method? Congratulations by the way!

It was my first night. And no it wasnt my first method. I tried 5 times, in the 5 days, before it. They were all WILD. I tried a random WILD method I found online before I came across this site. After finding this site, I tried various tutorials, like Adam's, and was unsuccesful. I went onto the chat and asked lots of questions and someone suggested that I try MILD first. I found the general information on this site about MILD and tried it...

I look 2 benydril, partly for allergies and partly for sleep. I normally dont do that but I have been waking up practically every 5 minutes lately becasue I am so excited that I may be lucid.

Then, as I fell asleep, I kept saying "I will remember my dreams after waking. I will wake after every dream. I will know when I am dreaming." I did this for quite a while until I was so asleep that I couldn't move my mouth.

I only remember waking twice but one of them was after my LD. I also keep a notebook by my bed for dreams and sleep times and techniques or whatever because I have read quite a few times that writing everything down exercises your brain and makes it easier.
