This morning I had a really weird dream. I dreamt that two of my friends woke me up by screaming in my ear.
They laughed, but I just lay in my bed (dreambed) and looked surprised at them. What were they doing in my room, was I even in my room? They went out and I thought to myself that I was going to try a DEILD attempt.
I closed my eyes and saw a bright blue light and then when I opened my eyes I saw that I was still in my room, so I thought that I had failed the attempt. No realitycheck...

Then I just went back to sleep within the dream and I...

woke up! I realised how blind I had been. I need to make reality checkin after an awakening a habbit..

2. Just do a Reality Check!

I didn't use the timer method this night, because I didn't slept the amount of hours that is usually needed for me to hit the REM. But I got a false awakening instead, on which I could have realised that I was dreaming on, but I didn't reality checked so..

I woke up and thought that even though I didn't use the timer I can still use this as a oppurtunity to DEILD, because I was aware of the awakening. So I closed my eyes and tried to DEILD. I expected nothing, because usually the dreamy feeling come by itself. And well nothing happend and I gave up. I got out of bed and ..

I woke up in my bed, the real bed. And I realsied that if I just had reality checked it could have become a lucid dream... Anyway I fell asleep and dreamed again.

I were in town and saw my friend driving a car, and this friend doesn't even have a driver's license, so this was weird. I went to my school and met my friends, I felt as something was wrong but I never realised anything.

To morrow I will use the timer. But I am also gonig to do a nap attempt now. I have never done that before so I will see how it goes.
3. Believe In Me! Because I Don't.. :P

Dream
Thoughts
Hypnagogic

This morning I used the timer method and even though I didn't used it correctly my motvation to use it , or something, made me lucid anyway. It's not that odd because the timer makes me have about 12 WBTB attempt and each time I fall asleep, the chance to lucid dream is increased, because I am more aware. And this time I could really explore the dream and it's environment.

I realised that I was dreaming and I walked out of my house, it was night. I started to think about what it ment to be lucid, and I realised that nothing can harm me. So I thought let's try getting killed by a car, and when I though about that a fear overwhelmed me, and I lost my lucidity...

The timer woke me up, well so I thought.. I were in my room and I hear an unpleasant buzzing sound. There was bees in my room! They were really big and I ran out of my room. I watched the bees as they ate honey which for some reason was all over my room. In real life I have an electric flyswatter, but in this dream it was gigantic. It was laying in my room on the floor and one of the bees sat on it and it turned on and I watched the be get electrified to death.

Then I had a weird dream about me being Borat and I saw a hot chick on the airport, and she wasn't wearing anything to cover her, ehrm upper part. So I said "Very nice how much" haha. Weird but funny dream.

Then I woke up in my dream bed and there was a really hot chick laying next to me and yeah.. I got lucid :P I can't blame me she was way out of my league, as all girls seems to be in my dreams. Anyway I went out of my house (I resisted the distraction!) and I remembered that I had been lucid before, and I started to reflect over the fact that it's allways night in my lucid dreams. I remembered that I had once thought of in real life, how the pavement will look in my dreams, will it look real or like a bad texture? It looked real, very real and detailed.
I walked around my neighborhood and I saw that my busline took a weird path, it was not on the road but on a cycle path. I didn't consciously stabilised this dream, but by observing the pavement and realising how odd the bus was I guess it made me more anchored to the dream.
I wanted to see a grocerystore that I often go to, but this time in the dream. It's a small store, but in this dream it was enormous! I went in there and saw that it looked nothing like it. I watched a hot girl from behind and I told myself that I am not going to get distracted by her, "it's my dream tricking me" I thought. I then saw her face, and it was not what I expected, I immediatelly looked away. The grocerystore changed into a video store and I wanted to summon a person.
In my previous lucid dreams when I have tried to summon a person it was very easy, because all I needed to do was to think of that person, because the dream was just like a vivid thought. This time however, it felt like reality, if you want to know the feeling, I will try to describe how I felt. It felt exactly like reality although I wasn't as aware as I am in reality it felt like reality, but I am tired all the time, not exhausted, but the feeling you have after you have woke up.
So it felt like summoning a person in reality, which is impossible, Neo could free his mind in the Matrix I couldn't..
I asked a person behind the disk where I could find that person, and she said "Oh the How I met your mother series is in the back". "Weird that wasn't what I asked" I thought. I then saw that that person's face started to morph like a bubble, I got surprised, but then I looked away and when I looked back it looked normal again.
I went out of this store and when I got out I was far away from home, I was on the streets of New York.
I did a flying attempt, and I managed to levitate, but not fly with control, by doing this I associated it as a dream again, and I lost my lucidity, but I continued dreaming that I was lucid.
I said to myself "this is my dream, I control it!" I then flexed every muscle in anger and screamed "Someday you will all bow to me and I will be your God!". Some people started to approach me and said, we will obey you if you can stop our leader. Who is your leader? I asked. Who? What time are you from? they said surprised.
Then they told me that I was supposed to get up from a special ladder while they distracted guards.
While I was climbing that ladder a train approached me and it was going to drive in to me if I didn't hurried up.
I managed to climb up and on the top there was some weird creatures, I can't explain how they looked like, but one of them kicked me in the head and I fell and I woke up.

I think I am going to continue using the timer, because if I can get experiences like these every morning, I will soon learn how to stay and to start believe so I can control the dream.

4. Developing Natural Dream Recall and Awareness

by , 09-21-2011 at 07:00 AM (Choi's Journey of the Conscious Mind)
Lucid
Dream
Thoughts
Hypnagogic

This time I tried the "numb" my legs method again, and this time I fell asleep unconsciously.
I will keep trying this weird technique every night, because even if can't stay aware, it felt like I was more aware of my dreams when sleeping on my back.

I had some dreams, but I am not going to note my dreams anymore, because I am gonig to try to develop complete natural dream recall, my dreams are gonig to become my memories too! If I don't remember one dream well, then I was not aware of it enough, so I am forcing myself to remember more and to become more aware.

I had one long neverending dream, but it was a really cool dream. I were in my school talking to some friends, and then we went to a lesson called "Lucid dreaming class". In the dream this was completely normal for me and I went in there to meet my teacher. I noticed that I was very tired during the class and I fell asleep, within the dream. I started to dream and I become lucid. I were standing in my friend's house and I thought "If I want to stabilise this dream I have to do it aggressively and I started to look at every object in the room, but I never stabilised my "Mind" or my other senses.
So this was just a brief moment of lucidity, because I forgot that I was dreaming, although the dream was still very vivid.
.
I was still dreaming that I was lucid though...
I met my friend and we were going to watch tv and when we opened the door we saw a couple having sex!
We immediatelly closed the door and looked chocked at each other. We then peaked through the keyhole and saw a really beautiful woman with an ugly little man. My friend told me that he wanted to have sex with her so badly and asked me if I could make that happend. And I said "Sure I can make that man go away and you can take his place". So I ran into the room and heard her moaning, and I jumped into the bed and grabbed the man's leg and throw him out of the room haha.
Then my friend went in there and I got out.

Then I woke up inside the classroom again, and thought I was awake. The teacher was giving a lot of wrong information about lucid dreaming and I got angry and protested. The other looked weird at me, but I just ignored them.

Then I woke up for real. I am going to keep doing this normal WILD -> DILD style on weekdays. But on weekend I think I am going to do the bullet proof timer method, just to make sure that I can pracctise dream stabilisation every week. The timer method is great although, when you get lucid, you only have some mniutes before you lose it, but when I think about it what differs that from the other lucidity moment I have ^^ ?
But I also want to be a "natural" so the timer method will work as a break from that pracctise.

5. Thank you FA!

Dream
Thoughts
Hypnagogic

Before bed I read about technique to keep your mind awake, but your body asleep.
And how to not fall asleep while meditating. One of the tips suggested that I was going to have a comfortable posture, but it should be a little uncomfortable to keep the mind awake. So I put two pillows behind my head, so I had a straight back, but my legs were still in their normal position. I concentrated on the blackspace and looked between my eyebrows and I started to think about normal things just to see if I could stay awake, and everytime I lost focus I didn't looked at that spot, so I just looked back again.

But somewhere I just blacked out. :)

This whole dream was weird, but cool at the same time. Because it tried to convince me over and over that I was awake, it eventually did, but I got lucid.

I woke up in my bed and heard weird noises, normally I would DEILD here. I really thought I was awake, but instead I did the noseplug reality check in my bed and it worked!
I was now laying lucid in my dreambed and I went to see my parents. Everytime I talked to my dad I was overwhelmed with feelings or something that tried to convince me that I was awake.
Then I went out of my house and I admired the vivdness of the dream. I thought to myself "This feels more real than the physical world!" and it did! The dream was vivid enough for the sensations, so I didn't had to stabilise that. But my mind wasn't stable enough so to speak. I can fix this with spinning, but I wasn't aware in my mind enough to do that. so somewhere here I was aware of that I was dreaming, but I wasn't aware through my conscious, but through my subconscious.[ so that makes it a normal dream again.

I was filled with joy and I didn't had to care about anything, I started to climb up to the rooftops and I ran. I tried to stabilise the dream by running in a straight line and it worked. The dream was super vivid. but then I woke up.

I was now in my real bed and I wrote this dream down, then I fell asleep again.

I was eating lunch with my friends and a girl there that my friend likes was there too. We tried to make him talk to her, but he was to shy. So we started to talk about random stuff, then for some reason we went into a store and we met some other guys, then I woke up.

WILD before bed is really hard I admit that. But I am trying to find the perfect way to keep your mind busy without falling asleep. I'll keep trying.
6. D*MN you FA!

Hypnagogic

This time when I went to WILD, I had an sleepmask on me and I had my eyes open behind it, so all I saw was darkness. I started to go through my day with eyes open, to relax myself. Then I pictured myself getting to a location and I felt my body "yawning" not like the sleep paralysis wave but my body was starting to become fully relaxed. And here I lost consciousnes... Although I woke up shortly after and I felt my nose was itching on the tip. I thought this was the test signal or something, but then I was overwhelmed with the feeling of failure. I kept still, but I thought that I had already failed, so I gave up.
But I hadn't moved my body, so I hadn't failed the failure was that I gave up. I then fell asleep normally.

I were in my school and some girls that I know asked me if I wanted to play soccer, and I said "Nah I have to go" and they inisisted "Come man it will be fun!" and I stayed. Then I suddenly blacked out and wake up in my bed, but there is three girls laying there! How the f*ck did I thought I was awake... it was an odd false awakening. and I went back to sleep.

I remembered more on the awakening, but I didn't write it down, so now I have forget what i dreamt.

7. Falling Through the Universe.

by , 09-13-2011 at 03:14 PM (Choi's Journey of the Conscious Mind)
Lucid
Dream
Thoughts
Hypnagogic

This night I tried to WILD before normal sleep. I have heard that it is impossible, but I was thinking and thought, if we can
be aware of a dream, to be lucid in that sense. And still be able to rest, wouldn't it be possible to stay have the mind awake the whole night and let the body rest. This is called Yoga Nidra "Conscious sleep". I have allways told myself that a dream is just a thought, but a vivid thought and I have even seen my thoughts become a dream in a WBTB DEILD.
So if I can just stay aware until my thoughts, become vivid then it should be possible.
I considered the problem of staying awake long enough for that to happend, but I came up with an idea to keep my mind busy and to totally forget about my physical body.

I like visualization, and day dreaming in that sense. I thought that if a dream is a vivid thought, then a thought must still be the closest to a dream that I can come while being awake. So my method to keep my mind busy is to daydream, but not the nornal way. Usually when we day dream we think about something and associate it with something else and suddenly we think about anything and then we fall asleep.

I started out by going through memories of my day in my mind, as detailed as possible. When this was done I assumed that I was perfectly relaxed, my body felt numb and uncomfortable feelings started to appear. Now I pretended that I was going to separate from my physical body into my non-physical body, pretend that I WILD so to speak.

So I visualised that I went out of my bed and I chosed two objects in each room in my house to explore.
And when I come to the kitchen I started to lose consiousnes from time to time, but I returned to the visualisation.
Eventually I lost it completely and I had a dream.

I were in my school and this dream was boring, because it was just about a normal schoolday.
Then I was walking home from that schooldream and suddenly I realised that it was a dream.
I didn't stabilise I was not aware enough in my mind to do that for some reason, instead I looked around and were surprised that I remembered this much from the real world, because it was a real location.
I took pace and ran and jumped and started to fly, I have had many fly dreams now so I had enough confidence to control this flying. And this time I decided to fly to the universe! When I were up there and saw the starts and the empty black space I started to accelarate and it almost felt like falling. And I fell and fell and suddenly I was back in my bed.
I heard my mom screaming "Your dad is shopping clothes!". "In the middle of the night?!" I said surprised. "Yeah go back to sleep" she said. And when I did I woke up for real...

On my real awakening I did a reality check and I was now awake. I looked at the clock and it was now 4.40, so I went back to sleep.

I was now standing in my tv room and a person I don't really like was laying on the couch and eating popcorn, this was a weird dream and I don't really remember it.

Then I was walking into a Chinese store, I looked at a t-shirt and it was a cool background and a text saying "Zhore".
I then saw a bowl of red balls, I asked what it was and the person behind the disk said "Dragoneggs" and then I woke up.

I will make a new attempt to WILD today, but if I fail which I probably will I have an alarm to WBTB.

8. Tested The Spinning Technique!

by , 09-09-2011 at 06:34 AM (Choi's Journey of the Conscious Mind)
Lucid
Dream
Thoughts
Middlestate

Many of the people who are taking part in my school project have written to me and said that they somehow attained higher awareness of their dreams, by either experiencing their dreams differently or remembering more of their dreams.
I did the second part of my method "Opening The Minds Eye" I can't let my people skip ahead so I will not tell what I did.
Anyway I accidently noticed one of my awakenings during the night and fell back to sleep.

I had some dreams before this ,but I don't remember them anymore.

I had a dream about me standing outside of my house I looked at my hands, and become lucid. I was in the dizzy state that I hate, but this time I remembered that I wanted to try the spinning technique.
I started to spin and thought to myself "The next thing I will see is a dream, I am dreaming". In the middle of it all everything turned black and I got a little disapointed. But then I found myself standing there again and I did the spinning once more, and now I was fully aware of my thoughts, I was as aware as I am in the waking life. I could remember what I wanted to do and so on. So I started to feel the texture of a brick wall with my hands. but later on the dizzy feeling came back...
I was now laying in my bed, and I went to my computer to write down this dream, but when I started the computer, it shut itself off, like it sometimes do. But this time I got a message saying "There is a problem with your harddrive[ would you like to restore?" I clicked Yes "Then I had a terrible realisation. All my work about the Dream Project is on the computer and I only have one old backup, which means that I have to rewrite alot of stuff.
As you all might have guessed this was a False awakening nighmarish (not really I didn't felt that scared, just frustrated).
Then I woke up in my bed, although I could have chained this dream, I wasn't paying attention to that.

So the spinning technique is a way for me to get more conscious in that sense, that I can remember real thoughts and concerns in the dream. But after I have spinned I should stabilize it alot more, and if I wake up I do a reality check.

9. Couldn't wake up...

Lucid
Dream
Thoughts

This time it went the other way around, usually the alarms wakes me up over and over again and then I wake up in sleep paralysis.
This time I woke up to the first alarm, I then had a false awakening. I looked at my hands, but they looked normal so I didn't become lucid. I don't know why I didn't do the noseplug. But anyway none of the alarms woke me up atleast I wasn't aware of it...

Hopefully I am the next night.

I do now remember although, that I woke up to some of the alarms, and then I was in sleep paralysis, then I visualised myself getting out of bed, but I must have been too tired to remain conscious and that's why I thought it was a False awakening.
Damn it!

10. All Wrong But Still Lucid (But I was A Jerk..)

by , 09-03-2011 at 10:52 AM (Choi's Journey of the Conscious Mind)
Lucid
Dream
Thoughts

Normally I would say, I were out last night and went to bed late.. So I did no attempt because I was to tired.
Or .. The battery of my Iphone died so the alarms didn't wake me up all the way. But this time I did all the misstakes that I have allways blamed my not succesful attempt on, but I still succeeded!

I got to bed really late! But I just changed the timer so I slept the same amount of hours.
When the alarm wakes me up. I feltl really uncomfortable so I moved.. and then I fell back to sleep again.

Then I had 4 False awakenings in a row. I know that they were false awakenings, because my Iphone died long before those awakenings... But I dreamt my own alarms! On the fourth false awakening I thought about vaccation, and the exact same words that I thought about I now heard my mom say in the other room "We should go to Spain". But I didn't become lucid...
Then I woke up and saw that m Iphone had died... So I thought "Ok I failed no big deal, I know that it would have worked if my Iphone hadn't died. Then I close my eyes and I see that it's a yellow cloud on the back of my eyes! I observed it and my last thought of a location I were on the previous day becomes my dream.
Either it was a False awakening that I WILDED in, or it was a normal awakening I don't know, but it doesn't matter because I got lucid anyway. I was now standing on a parking lot and (I'm am chocked and ashamed over what I did) my bestfriends crush M. is looking with horny eyes at me and my dreamy me thinks "This is a dream, it wont hurt my friend". I don't even like her that much in reality... But then she jumps at me and tells me that she want to have sex. I stabilise the dream by feeling her lips when we kiss and touching her body, and rubbing the.. hands haha. I scream I am dreaming! It stabilise only for a bit. But I am still in a dizzy feeling, then I just forget that I want to stabilise and I have sex with her. Then my friend shows up next to me not even bothering! And then he joins and that feels a little weird so I left. But he followed me so I thought hmm the last day we were bragging about how we knew how to impress girls, even if he didn't know them. So I tried to imagine the location we had been at. And the dream changed, but then it morphed into something random. I thought "Were do I find nice girls?"
Then it started to appear lot of McDonals restaurants! And was like "WTF?!" Then I just went into one of them, and there were nice girls alright  I walk up to one of the girls, and say "Hey what's yor name?" and she answers "Annie". But then she says alkjhaaöhwfwaf :? ... And then I say to my friend "Come man you have to dare to fail to succeed.
Then I pushed him to talk to someone and I talked to a girl that was 15 years older than me, it felt weird to hit on her :/ Yeah I was a total jerk in this dream...

I think it's pretty interesting that dreams tend to draw my attention to forbidden thoughts
Sex with my bestfriends crush, hitting on older girls. Maybe that is the stuff my subconscious is fighting with holding back. The norms and my conscious mind believes it wrong, but my subconscious loves and hates what my conscious hates and love.
I did stabilise properly in this dream, but it still didn't work, it got stable only when I stabiised, the second I stopped the dream become more unstable. Subconscious VS Conscious 1 - 0 ...
I think I am going to try the spinning technique next morning, because that is something that many people have talked about and sais that it works. The truth shall be told!

11. Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming!

by , 09-02-2011 at 06:48 AM (Choi's Journey of the Conscious Mind)
Lucid
Dream
Thoughts

This morning I had 3 lucid dreams and got own experienced knowledge about how the dream environment is. I had one false awakening, but I didn't reality check, in that moment I were so motivated that I wanted to WILD, instead I switched position in the dream and fell asleep. Then I woke up to the alarm and realised that I had a false awakening, although I didn't reality checked on this awakening either, so I am not completely sure if it was a dream or reality. I started to think about my previous dream , but I wasn't trying to WILD.

I felt a switch of consciousnes and I was now standing in a store, I immediatelly remembered to stabilise so I started to touch a brown desk that was infront of me. I took my hands and touched my legs and used my body as a stabilisation technique through the sense of touch. Then I saw a girl and even though I was lucid and didn't had to care about her, I did... So she told me that we should steal some of the watches that were behind the glas. I thought to myself this is a dream I can do whatever I want, so I broke the glas and she pointed out one of the watches and I grabbed that and gave it to her.
I wanted something cooler so I looked for a really cool clock, and I found one (I didn't find any real picture of this watch design, so I am going to try to explain it) it was like a big stone and the design of the screen was looking like a shining star.
Golden spikes pointing in all directions.

Short after this I heard the next alarm and I woke up. I was surprised to my behaviour in the dream, why did I wasted my precious time on a girl that I didn't even know, to steal a watch? Normally I would be satisfied with this dream, because it was vivid and lucid, so I usually just went up and wrote down the dream, Not this time.
I were still perfectly still and thought that maybe I can chain this dream, because I will still remember this dream, so no reason to worry about that.

So I started to think about the same dream again, and felt the switch of consciousnes again! I was now standing at the same spot that I woke up from. A little more aware of that I don't need to follow that girl I remembered that I had told a fried in reality that I wanted to go to the universe and find out what my subconscious mind believed that was out there.
So took pace and started to running out the street and then I jumped and levitated. But I wanted to get speed, but it was hard to imagine, so I did a sound with my mouth that reminded me of Ironman flystyle. I started to accelrate through the sky, really fast it almost felt like I had engines on my back, I couldn't even control it. Then it felt like I flew straight into an invisible wall and I fell. And I fell ... I fell really hard and I closed my eyes and I were in my bed and I still felt like falling.
I knew that this sensation must be a dream so I imagined myself getting out of my bed.
And the imagination become real as usual, and I went down to the door. And I remembered that I wanted to visit a waking life location to see if it felt as real as reality. So I flew (calmly) to my first school, but it didn't look anything like it so I tried to visualise how it really looked like, but I just made it change texture to red brick. I associated school with my old interest which was Harry Potter, so I saw castle textures and buildings appear.
I woke up again and chained the dream again, but I think I thought about Narnia for one second, because the dream started out in the room were the locker is located (the one they use to get to Narnia). Although the locker wasn't there!
All I saw was a woodwall I ran through it and imagined myself gettig to platform 9 / 3/4.
And I was suddenly looking at the Hogwarts express! I stepped into the train and remembered that I wanted to complete the Hogwarts Challenge on Dreamviews, but then I was on the wrong place. I needed to go to the Diagonalley to get a wand.
Instead I started to ask people n the train in panic if they had a wand I could borrow.
For some weird reason the Requiem for a dream music started to play in the background.
I later decided to wake up, and I associated the woodwall with waking up, but when I walked through the wall I woke up!

I learned alot from these dreams. Some of these things I have allready heard from Stephen LaBerge and other, but this attempt prooved that it was true. Robert Waggoner: "The sailor never controls the sea".
Likeways the dreamer never controls the dream, the dream (your subconscious) control about 90 % of the dream while the dreamer control 10 %. You just control where to go and what you might experience, but the dream is what creates everything that you see and experience, it might give you some information, but you just flow along what the dream creates.
Which is a good thing, because what if I was a watch designer, if I controlled everything then it wouldn't be anything different compared to reality except you might be able to control the elements and physics better. But now I asked to see a cool watch and then it just appears! Another thing that I got confirmed was that dreams are built of thoughts and associations and emotions and that is why it's hard to have good control, because who can control both their thoughts, associations and thoughts? Although my goal is to use lucid dreams as a paradise and to be able to do that I need more control. So I am going to work on how to do that. And last but not least, chaing dreams might give you more lucids, but they are harder to remember each time you do it. For example I forgot to mention that I met the Harry Potter characters on the train =)

12. Sex On The Grass!

by , 09-01-2011 at 05:48 AM (Choi's Journey of the Conscious Mind)
Lucid
Semi-Lucid (I'll erase this one)
Dream
Thoughts

I decided to try to become lucid without any reality check at all, but that was a stupid idea because I got lots of false awakenings so I could have become lucid much earlier. So tomorrow I will use visualisations as a reality check.

But on one of the awakenings I started to visualise that I went out of my bed, but in the visualisation I lost myself!
I started to dream very vivid, but ignored that I was lucid even if I was, but when I come out to the yard and saw a really hot girl walking by I remembered that I was lucid. I have never had lucid dream sex, so I wanted to try.
So I flew over to her looked her in the eye and well we did it on the grass. This sex lasted for 40 seconds or so, so yeah a quick one, but the next alarm woke me up. I am going to continue to use these alarms to see if it's 100 % sure to become lucid with them, one downside is that I only lucid dream for a short period of time, until the alarm wakes me up.
So if it really is a 100 % sure way to lucid dream, I am going to make the alarms longer.

I just want you to be aware of that a dream is a thought! At first it feels like a visualisation, then it becomes vivid and then it's a dream the trick is to stay aware long enough to experience the switch between these two, but with the timer method it's like a DEILD so it only takes a few seconds, but if I am lazy and fail the DEILD attempt the dream is still so vivid that I might become lucid in the dream. I will call the inductions different names depending on how I become lucid, but it's basically all EILDS, because I am doing nothning, but the alarms does everything. But I am going to start reality checking on every awakening to notice my FA:s.

13. 8 False Awakenings!

by , 08-30-2011 at 05:59 AM (Choi's Journey of the Conscious Mind)
Lucid
Semi-Lucid
Dream
Thoughts

I am almost 100 % sure that I will start to have atleast one short lucid dream per day. Because I just discovered that every awakening from the timer, is an oppurunity to DILD, WILD DEILD, MILD you name it.
But the timer method made me have 8 false awakenings this time, and I did a reality check on all of them, but I didn't become lucid. The reason was that the reality check I used didn't worked for me. I did atkins breathe through mouth reality check, but when I did everything appeared normal, no air came out of my mouth. But I am grateful to that it didn't worked, because I discovered that false awakenings is the best oppurtunity to have a lucid dream.
And now I know that the timer method induces it.
14. The Lake Girl

by , 08-17-2011 at 07:44 AM (Choi's Journey of the Conscious Mind)
Lucid
Semi-Lucid
Dream
Thoughts

This timer attempt was a disaster. I did my WBTB earlier so that I would have more time to dream, but instead I couldn't fall asleep at all. So I were fully awake through 3 alarms, then I gave up because it's was no point in laying still if I can't fall asleep. But when I tried to move I felt that I were in partial sleep paralysis, which means that if I could have endured one more alarm, I woul probably had come in full sleep paralysis! 3 alarms is 15 min + 8 + 4 = 27 minutes of laying still, and just focusing on falling asleep but failing. I did a reality check right after I gave up so it wasn't a false awakening.

At this time I didn't remember a single dream, so I turned the timer off and went to sleep to dream.

I don't remember exactly what I dreamt frst but I do have some fragments of it. I were in my cousin's house and he was moving out. So he offered me his gaming mouse, then he changed his mind. I then walked out of his house and to something that I think was supposed to be my home, but it doesn't look anything like it.

I was taking a cab and opened the left door and jumped out of it. I jumped high and almost reached the sky, but then I fell down on a grass hill that is outside my real house in my waking life. From nowhere I realised that I was dreaming! For the first time in my life I remembered to do what I had planned in the dream when I get lucid, but for this time it was something totally different. The Lucidology workout said that I was going to wake myself up just to experience waking sleep paralysis, to do that I have to think of my sleeping body. So I started to think "Wow this is a dream, but now I want to wake up (thinking of my sleeping body). Everything turned black I had no weird sensations what so ever, but then I just found myself back on the grass hill again.

I was dissapointed and woke up, I thought... It turned out later that this was still a dream.
So in my false awakening I got out of bed and wrote down my dreams on a piece of paper near my bed.

I was now standing in a grocery store, but this one only sold tapas and snacks. My friends were there so we were appearantly going to have this for lunch. I had problems with picking the tapas food up, and then I fell and hit my head in the table.
I were now walking around dizzy and I bumped into my friend Simon and he dropped his tapas on the floor...
When my friends were long gone, I now hade trouble with deciding what to choose. Then when I finally made up my mind. I didn't know where my friends were. So I started to watch some tv and I was watching Urban Legends, but the show was more like Myth Busters. On this episode they were going to see if they could determine if the water in a lake is shallow or deep by the temperture of the water, I saw a girl dive into the water. Then suddenly I was there!
I swam a few lenghts with her and there were 15 other girls and then I also saw my friends on the other side.
I started to swim my fifth lenght, but then I realised something embarrasssing. I was naked!
For a really weird reason I turn to the hottest girl of them all and points down and say "Ehrm I need to you know get underwear" and she said "that's cool you can come and change with me later" Relieved I then heard my friend pointing and laughing. Then I walked away with the hot girl and thought "HA jokes on you!"
...No I am lying I woke up and felt naked and embarressed

Then I was going to add this dream to the notes, and I saw that there was no other dreams added!
So here I realised that I had had a False Awakening.

Tomorrow I will WBTB early again, but to make sure that I can fall asleep I will get back to sleep immediately.
