Dec 10th Night and the Exploding Moon

The first part I remember is being at a largish house where my dad was making breakfast for everyone there. Some friends and extended family were there and the food turned out to be sugar toast that actually tasted like french toast. I remember it being delicious but becoming really thirsty afterward. I sat on the couch in the living room after that with some water (I woke up later really wanting some water, my mouth and throat were all dry). There was a large hyperactive dog running around being really annoying and I don't think it smelled that good. Dream fades at this point.

Another part of the dream took place in a large, post modern city at night. Lots of slums. I remember taking a bus ride in with some annoying bum talking to me from the seat behind me. I disembarked at a parking structure. There was a group of DC's waiting for me. We started up the parking structure to get to the top. I actually remember getting a little excited and jumping onto the ledge near the top (nearly falling off the building). I came back down and the DC's produced a bag of dinner rolls. I grabbed one and started eating it but noticed that the moon was flashing bright colors and each flash came from a different direction. Then it disappeared in shadow completely. I notified the DC's of this and they began to freak out. Then the moon flashed a color again and exploded. The shock wave hit earth fast and destroyed everything, killing me instantly. I remember switching viewpoints to a 'respawn' view which was actually at the core of Earth. I think I hit a button with the title 'respawn' and ended up in a rotating camera around some woman giving birth. The birth date happened to be really close to mine as well, just slightly earlier. (The respawn system apparently not constrained by time). I woke up shortly after this.

Ive tagged this as memorable mostly because apocalyptic end of the world dreams tend to be extremely vivid for me and I remember them for a long time (even when I don't write them down).
