The Nomad Chronicles

I am a strange blue god.

I am standing perched on a mountaintop in the Realm of the Gods. I see other gods meditating, some in lotus, some in savassana, some moving through katas.

A giant tiger demon head appears in the sky and breathes fire on us. It speaks in some guttural language.

I am in a jungle in India battling this tiger demon. I have eight arms, and eight swords. The demon kills my eternal love. A dark fire burns in my eyes. The tiger demon recoils in fear, and jumps through a portal. I hold my lover in my arms for years without moving, until her body rots and becomes a skeleton. I dig a hole and bury the bones.

I wander across the earth grieving.... I wander across a desert, distraught... thirsty but not needing water... hungry, but not needing food...

I see a lotus growing on a sand dune.

I stare at it. I touch it. It's real.

Kaomea appears. "It's a gift of the gods, Nomad, it's yours."

I look at her confusedly.

I look back at the lotus. A white flame appears in the center. It grows larger, until it becomes Selene.

We embrace.

Kaomea smiles, waves a wand, and disappears.

Selene and I hunt down the tiger demon.

We fly through the sky.

The Tiger demon appears again, saying he is going to eat our souls. Selene shoots a moon net around his head, and opens a portal. I grab the net and swing it around, then toss the tiger demon into a portal.

Selene and I kiss.

I take her back to the Biodome.

Raven: What just happened?

I don't know.
