The Nomad Chronicles

We are on same strange planet similar to earth. Vegeta grabs me by the scruff of my neck, and opens a portal.

We are in another part of the same planet. We walk down a stone path through a grassy field with sparse trees in the summer.

A man in a tall white pointed hat bows to me. He has red glowing eyes. [I]I am everything you love, everything you hate, everything you fear.[/I]

We follow the man to a strange tall building, like a temple of glass.

[I]Your initial training is complete. You will now be inducted into the Dragon Warrior Corps. As a Dragon Warrior of Urth, you will defend the Dream Earth from tyranny. We value individual liberty in the highest esteem.[/I] Vegeta talks to me telepathically as we walk down a hall with high ceilings.

We stand in a circle around a pool of water on a stand. An alien that looks like an old brown lizard scoops out water with a coconut shell. We pass it around, each taking a sip. He takes the last sip.

[I]This water has seen the light of the many suns, bathed in the moonlight of dawn, has moved through our bodies, the bodies of plants, bodies of water, since the beginingless past. We are infinite, and eternal, as all matter, and all non-matter.[/I]

We go to a balcony with no rail. It overlooks a great futuristic city.

We make a silent telepathic vow that cannot fully be expressed in words....

[I]We are Guardians born,
and Guardians eternal,
forever we war against tyranny and oppression,
forever we live, forever we love life,
forever we fight for total freedom.[/I]

We salute the leader, and we receive the insignia of the Dragon Warrior Corps: Two golden dragons in a swirl.

We bow, and Vegeta and I fly back to Urth.
