Tales from the sun chaser.

I'm trying to leave in my car, and D is trying to come along, and bring all of these random kids. We all pack in, and I just of a bad feeling about things. Some guy pulls up near us, and D says that he's an off duty cop. He keeps saying real low, "hes a cop", but yet he's trying to keep me calm. The guy is talking to D in the car, and eying my car and I'm just trying to leave. I started it up, and squeezed out, and during that, I could over hear him saying something about calling for backup in the general area where I was headed.

We headed down the street, and got out of the car, and went on foot for a while, and hid in a ditch. I was asking D what we should do next, cause I wasn't sure if they'd spot us or what. He wasn't saying anything, and all of a sudden, some random guy comes out of nowhere and asks if anyone has ID. We all say no, and then he asks if anyone has a lighter. I relax a bit and someone hands him one. I think about how random that was, and I want to leave so bad. It tastes like theres a huge lump of mud in my mouth.
