Had a very vivid dream this morning.
In the dream I am in my local park and am heading back home. On my way back I rip some leaves off a tree.
A dove is walking behind me, and I decide to see if I can pick it up. I motion for it to walk into my hands and I am surprised at how tame it is. I then put it on my left shoulder and continue to walk. There are many other birds in the sky and I let the dove join them.
Next, I see my brother riding a bike on the footpath. I find this very strange because he no longer lives in the same city as me. This is when I realise that I am dreaming. I start calling his name, but he seems to not hear me. I continue calling his name and he finally turns his head in my direction. However, just as he turns his head everything starts to fade and I start thinking that I will wake up.
I "wake up" in my bed. In my hand I am still clutching the leaves I had torn off from the tree in my dream. I am completely surprised, and for about 30 seconds I am convinced that I have brought back something from the dream world to waking world. It seemed extremely real and I could even smell the scent of the leaves just as they had smelled previously. Unfortunately, this had been a false awakening and I now wake up for real, feeling rather disappointed.
