Lucid Dreams
DJ Log: February 12, 2011 – Morning, 8:15AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am entering a large parking garage through a doorway from an airport. The warm humid air stinks of car exhaust and tire smoke. The sound of the buzzing ballasts in the putrid yellow high-pressure sodium light fixtures drown out my footsteps. The walls are dingy gray and there are many rusty pipes along the ceiling. I walk down the main aisle and approach the railing on the ramp where I can see the levels above and below the level I am walking on. There is a guy walking on the lower level who is looking under and between cars as he walks toward the ramp. He has medium-length dark hair and is wearing a black leather jacket over a white t-shirt, black jeans, and black boots. He is carrying a large pistol, and has another pistol in a side holster. Before he spots me, I quickly move away from the railing and walk briskly up the ramp and toward the central stairway and elevator shaft. As I approach the elevator, I see a guy who appears to have been shot in the leg. He is tying a t-shirt around his wounded leg and gives me a distressed look as I approach. He has long dirty-blond hair and blue eyes, and is wearing a long-sleeve gray striped shirt, torn blue jeans, and black shoes. There is some blood on the ground, and what looks to be the bullet he was shot with. There are several brown cloth shopping bags and a light gray case sitting on the ground. The case has a broken latch and is partially open, revealing that it is full of bright green pills. I ask him, “Are you OK?” As he is cleaning off his hands in a water fountain, he replies, “I am being hunted and it is not safe to stay here.” I say, “I think I saw your hunter on the way over here and he's walking up the ramp to this level right now.” I ask, “Are you OK to walk?” He replies, “My leg is OK, but I could use some help.” I ask, “Would you like me to help you carry anything?” He replies, “Sure, if you could grab the case, it is more important than any of these bags.” I pick up the case, holding it closed to keep any the pills from falling out. He picks up a couple of the bags and puts them into a trash can, then picks up the rest of the bags and walks with me to the stairs. We walk down the stairs for a couple of floors, then decide to try the elevator. We walk around to the elevator and press the down button. The door opens immediately, and when we get in, the door closes quickly behind us. The control panel has only one button, so I push it. The elevator is making no noise and I cannot feel any movement at all. I can see my blurry reflection in the door, so I move closer and see that I have really large ears and a third eye in the middle of my forehead. I immediately become lucid and take a brief moment to stabilize by rubbing my hands together while looking up at the ceiling of the elevator. The ceiling is a typical medium fake wood-grain laminate with some brass panels in the corners. There are three white porcelain pull-chain sockets, two of which have a clear light bulb in them. The third socket has the broken remains of a bulb. There is a rusty metal fan grille with a logo plate that looks like it's in Russian, having an inverted 'N' and some other letters on it. I look down again and see that my reflection is gone and the control panel has hundreds of buttons on it now. Realizing that I am dreaming now, I really want to strike up a half-intelligent conversation with the DC I just met. I look at the guy and ask, “What's your name?” He replies, “I'm Joe.” I put out my hand and say, “I'm Jim, glad I can help you out.” He gives me a firm handshake and says, “Thank you.” While giving Joe a good looking over, I say, “I love your hair, it's my favorite color.” He says, “Thanks, I like yours as well.” I ask, “Wouldn't it be awesome if we could trade hair for a day?” Joe looks at me for a moment, slightly puzzled, then asks, “Does it seem like this elevator is not going anywhere?” I reply, “I'm not sure. I haven't felt it move yet.” I look at the control panel and now there are no buttons at all. Becoming impatient with the elevator, I grab the door and force it open, only to discover that we are on the same level of the garage. I say, “Shit! Let's go back to the stairs. At least they seem to work properly in here.” We walk around the elevator and start heading down the stairs. There is a female attendant standing behind a podium on the first landing of the stairs. She is collecting a cash payment for a ticket to access the last section of the stairway. A couple of rough-looking guards are checking ticket stubs as people pass through. Some people in front of us pay, receive a ticket and walk through. Both Joe and I pull out some cash and pay the attendant, but before we receive our tickets, I see the hunter walking toward the other side of the elevator shaft on the floor below. Joe's back is toward the hunter, and I am facing his direction. The hunter is looking the opposite direction as he approaches the elevator area. I grab Joe and move in close to him to avoid being seen, saying softly, “Don't move and don't look to your left, the hunter is right there below us.” He looks at me with an absolutely terrified look. I say, “Just play along and blend in, or he will see us. Let's act like we're just some random tourists and kiss on the stairway.” The expression on his face changes from terrified, to a blank stare, then to a 'come and get me' grin. I drop the case on the ground, throw my arms around him, and start kissing him. He puts his arms around me and kisses me back very intently. His hands slowly massage their way up my back, then he grabs a handful of my hair and pulls me in slightly closer. I close my eyes and run my hands up his back, then grab his hair and pull him even deeper into the kiss. I could feel his heart pounding together with mine as our tongues got together and we kiss even more intensely. After a moment, I open my eyes and see that we are standing in an entirely white space with nothing and nobody around. I close my eyes again, and this was the dream's exit.

DJ Log: February 5, 2011 – Morning, 6:00AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · (Note: After a long dry spell, I finally have a good lucid and make an attempt at the basic task.) The early evening air is cool and smells like it has just rained. I am riding a black and chrome Harley Davidson with slash-cut straight pipes. A DC is clinging to my back as I rumble down a main city street, passing a cop in the left lane. The cop moves into my lane and follows me, turning on the flashing lights as I down-shift and speed up a bit. I put on my blinker and move right one lane. Seeing that the cop is glued to my ass, I move over another lane to the right and begin to pull over on the shoulder, slowing to nearly a stop. The DC riding with me taps me on the shoulder and says, “You know we're fucked now.” As I stop, I thought to myself, “What am I doing riding a motorcycle, and why am I stopping?” I quickly become lucid and decide that stopping is not a good idea. I kick it back in gear and crack the throttle wide open, leaving a smoky trail behind me as I shift through a couple gears. As I weave through traffic, I notice that all of the other vehicles look a lot like the ones in the classic game Frogger; each lane having identical cars or trucks in it which are equally spaced. This makes it easy to slalom through them as I reach top speed. The road I am on turns into a regular 4-lane highway. Some of the cars were crashing into each other behind me as I speed by. There are several bicycles, tires, and other debris laying in the road, which I am running over. I turn off the highway and ride down an embankment to another smaller road with the cop a ways behind me. As I'm cruising down the road toward another city, I find that I can pull up on the handlebars and make the bike jump and fly for short durations. This gives me enough time to jump over cars and small trucks. Entering the city, I find myself driving down a small alley which was too small for the cop to fit through. The DC said, “Finally, we lost that cop.” I cruise down a few more small streets, avoiding dumpsters and hobos, then I found myself on a long shipping dock. There is a large container ship not far from the dock, so I crack open the throttle, pull up on the handlebars and jump off the dock onto the container ship. I ride across the deck of the ship, weaving around some shipping containers and accelerate as I reach the end of the deck. I pull up an try to make the bike fly, but I end up landing in the water instead and the engine stalls. The DC yelled, “There goes a $5,000 engine. Good job, asshole!” Once I sink to the bottom, I hit the starter and it fires right up. Before I could get it in gear, the DC said, “I've had enough of this shit.” as he gets off the bike and runs away. I ride under the water for a while and find a good spot to get out. I manage to find a familiar road and follow it back home. As I'm riding home, I notice that there is about 3 feet (1 meter) of flood water everywhere. Once I arrive at home, there are a few DC's working on some vehicles in front of the garage. The DC's look at me for a moment and then continue what they are doing. I figure it would be a good idea to hide the bike in case the cops are still looking for me. There is a large wooded area near the garage, so I ride there and find a good place to hide the bike. I slide the bike under a pile of sticks, between a cement wall and a chain-link fence. I swim back to the garage and see that the cop is now in the driveway, walking toward the garage. I swim under the water and try to hide under a car in the garage. I couldn't fit under the car, so I go around the car and swim under a truck in front of the garage. The cop walks up and asks the DC's if they have seen me anywhere. One DC who is working on the truck says, “He's here right now.” and points under the truck. The cop gets down and looks under the truck, but he can't see me through the murky flood water. He turns on his flashlight and shines it around. I move toward the other side of the truck to avoid being seen, but he hears me moving and orders me to come out. As I begin to come out from under the truck, two of the DC's knock the cop down and pin him to the ground. The DC working on the truck runs away as a couple more come out of the garage. I stand up and suddenly remember the basic task, so I run over and try to kiss a DC. The DC pushes me away and I lose my balance, causing the dream to destabilize quickly. This is the dream's exit.

DJ Log: November 30, 2010 – Evening, 8:30PM-11:00PM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · (Note: I went to bed early after a nasty migraine struck me. After another dry spell, I had a lucid with fairly good recall. My doctor put me on Procardia XL a few weeks back, and my body is taking some time to adjust to it. I've had quite a few good dreams lately, but no recall at all.) I am standing in a large, open industrial building with several other floors above and below me. The air smells musty, and the space is dimly lit. As I'm looking at my surroundings, one of the overhead lights shorts out and drops sparks all over the floor in front of me. I jump back and fall through the wall behind me, then into a completely different room. Standing back up and looking around reveals that I am in an office that has no door back into the industrial space. I become lucid at this time. I look back at the wall and say, “This is the only way back into there.” I take a couple of steps backward and run into the wall at full speed. I pass right through the wall with no resistance. While passing through the wall, my vision is all choppy and jittery, a lot like using the “idspispopd” cheat code in the old Doom game. I am in the industrial space again, and now there is a car sitting in the middle of the room. The car is an import with dark tinted windows and a spoiler on the trunk. The color changed from jet black to a iridescent blue as I walked toward it. I get in the car and the engine starts without even turning the key. There are 8 pedals on the floor, so I begin to press on them. None of them would make the car go, so I grab the shifter and shove it into a gear. The car starts to move forward and speeds up when I shift to the next gear. I found one of the pedals that speeds things up, so a combination of pressing that pedal to the floor and shifting makes the car go much faster. I drive the car through the building and out through the wall, landing on the rooftop of another building. I shift several times and the car rapidly accelerates, jumping off the edge of the roof. After flying through the air for a brief moment, I enter another building through the wall which looks like a large hotel. I blast through a couple of rooms and right out the other side of the building. I jump from roof to roof and saw a cop sitting on one of the rooftops. He gets me with the radar gun and turns his lights on. I know there is no way he is going to get me, so I start shifting faster and fly off the roof. I get into another building through the window, then end up in an elevator shaft. I shift a couple of times and rocket straight out through the roof of the penthouse. I am able to level out and fly over the city for a bit. After flying for a bit, the car starts falling back to the ground. The ground is getting closer and closer. Pressing the pedals and shifting does nothing but rev up the engine. The car started to nose-dive toward the ground and I could not change the direction or stop it. I woke up just before hitting the ground.

DJ Log: November 6, 2010 – Morning, 8:30AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · #1. Lack of recall (fragment) I remember having a very vivid, but short dream. There was plenty of out-of-control flying and crashing through trees and other things, but I don't recall very much of this one at all. #2. Goodbye annoying DC!!! (Note: This one was quite interesting, as I had several false awakenings that all landed me back into my bed with my hat in the exact position that I went to sleep with. Sometimes, when it's cold I'll sleep with a knit hat on instead of turning up the heat. During the dream, I clearly recognized that I completed one of my short-term dream goals, but failed to realize that I had also completed the basic task of the month. It's quite possible that flying into something in the previous dream lead me to this scene.) I get up out of bed and push my hat up and out of my eyes. Realizing that I went to sleep with a hat on, I wonder if I am really awake or not. I walk into my living room to find a large mirror on the floor. Thinking that this is somewhat strange, I lift the mirror and lean it against the table. Upon not being able to see my reflection in the mirror, I became lucid. I began to move around, trying to align my reflection in the mirror with no success. A DC is standing behind me, asking me if I was dreaming, over and over and over again. I think about trying to put my hand through the mirror, but am quite distracted by my DC. Becoming quite annoyed at the DC, I turn around to tell him to shut up. The moment I turn, he looks away from me. I wave my hand in the air, as if I was waving goodbye and the DC begins to melt into a puddle on the floor. I yell at the melting DC, “Thank you for melting into nothing, you annoying mother-f***er. You just aided me in completing one of my short-term dream goals.” The DC stares at me with a frightened expression while he melts away into a smoldering puddle on the floor. I am already lucid at this point, but I decide to try an RC that has never worked for me before, pushing my finger through my hand. It is a difficult decision to choose which finger I wanted to try, as there are at least 8 fingers on my right hand and only 3 on my left. While looking at my right hand, all of my fingers fall off of my left hand and land on the floor. I finally jab the first finger on my right hand into my left palm. There is a bit of resistance at first, but I am able to push it through. I want to see if I can see the finger coming out the other side, so I turn my hand over. While turning my hand over, I hear a loud noise that sounds like a loud burst of static from a 2-way radio. I immediately false-awakened and found myself back in my bed with my hat pulled over my eyes. Realizing that I am still lucid, I quickly get out of bed and push my hat up from over my eyes. While pushing my hat up, I count 7 fingers on each hand and no thumbs. I walk into my living room again and see that the large mirror is now hanging on the wall. There is a DC standing just to the left of me. After glaring at the DC for a moment, I walk over to the mirror and stare into it. I can see my reflection, but it is very fuzzy and distorted. I lean a bit closer to the mirror and put my hands on the surface. The surface felt solid at first, but gave way after a brief moment. My hands, then arms pass into the glass, then I completely fall into the mirror. While falling through the mirror, I heard a loud pop sound. I false-awaken into my bed again with my hat pulled over my eyes. I reach up and push my hat from over my eyes, while counting at least 7 fingers on each hand. I try to get out of bed, but realize that my legs are paralyzed. I am fairly certain that the SP from my real body is penetrating into my dream. There are no walls or ceiling in my bedroom, as I can see the dark sky in all directions. I try to stabilize the dream by spinning. The whole room begins to spin and I start to feel nauseous. After trying to stabilize for a while, I attempt to move again. Suddenly, the ambient light in my bedroom changes from dark to relatively bright, as the sunlight from outside was starting to shine in the windows. As soon as the light changes, I am able to move freely and count 4 fingers and a thumb on each hand. I try the nose RC and am sure that I am awake for real. I sit down at my PC to write this journal entry, and RC a couple more times to make sure I'm really awake.

During WBTB around 4:15AM, I smoked 2 cigarettes of Calea Zacatechichi and took 8mg Galantamine, 400mg Choline Bitartrate, and 300mg Alpha-GPC with a full glass of apple juice. I attempted to WILD, but gave up because some part of my body would twitch, or I would feel like a bug was walking on me which caused me to move and ruin the oncoming SP. This happened twice, but there were no bugs.) Airplane ride #1 (Note: This is a fragment, probably lost a lot of detail in this one due to the amount of time I spent logging the next dream. I wish I had better recall of this one because I've never been on an airplane in a dream before.) I boarded an airplane and flew for quite a while. The plane landed and I walk through the airport, looking for baggage claim. After getting my bags, I started to look for the exit door. A huge hotel room and a covert operation. #2 (Note: I'm fairly certain that I awakened momentarily and re-entered the same dream, or it could have been a FA. This second part is quite possibly my most vivid dream to date. I also had more control than I usually do during the moments I was lucid, not to mention that I was able to complete one of my long-term dream goals. Stabilization was super quick and remained rock solid, with the exception of a brief moment that was quickly recovered from. My recall lost some of the environmental details, as I was paying close attention to the clearly understood technical details in this dream.) I am checking into a hotel room, after getting off a long flight. My brother is also checking into a room just down the hall. Upon entering the room, I could tell that someone had been there before. There is a piece of luggage and some clothes laying around. The room is huge and had a full kitchen, two separate bedrooms, and a huge living room. There is a long hallway that connects all of the rooms, which have no doors on them. There are also several doors along the hallway. The living room has a full entertainment center with a very large flat-screen TV and a surround sound system. There are at least a dozen remote controls sitting on the table in front of the couch. I walk down the hallway and into the bedroom, where I put my luggage on the bed. The bed is a king size water bed with black satin sheets and huge fluffy pillows. I look at my AAA club card and smile, knowing I got a good deal on this room. I leave the bedroom and go to the door across the hallway. Opening the door reveals a garage bay with an old taxi cab sitting in the space. I ask myself, "Why would there be a garage in a hotel room? This is ridiculous. I must be dreaming!" I open the door of the taxi and climb in to look around inside. The interior smells musty like an old car. I found an older digital camera sitting on the rear deck. When I turn on the camera, the lens motor is broken and will not deploy/retract the lens. I give the lens a tug and it comes out properly. I point the camera out the window and it has a difficult time focusing. Moving the lens around manually fixes the focus problem. I take a couple of pictures, then point it at the dash of the taxi and take another picture to make sure the focus motor is working correctly. I turn off the camera and the lens retracts properly. The camera works perfectly when I turn it on again and take another picture. I stuff the camera in my jacket pocket and walk back into the room, realizing that I had just completed one of my long-term dream goals. I stop and stabilize for a moment by looking at the ground and closing my eyes, then run down the hall to my brother's room and told him that I had just fixed this camera. He didn't seem too excited. I explain that I just accomplished one of my long-term dream goals by doing this. He is still not too excited, so I give up trying to explain and return to my room. I am digging around in the bedroom and find some clothes on the floor beside the bed. I find a couple of black and gray striped Zentai suits that are made from a super soft and stretchy fabric. I examine them for a bit, then place them on the bed. Digging further reveals a set of black cycling bib-shorts, cycling jersey, arm warmers, and a pair of cycling shoes. There are some other clothes on the floor, but I seem to be only interested in the soft stretchy ones. I immediately took my clothes off and put on one of the Zentai suits. The Zentai is very tight and feels amazingly soft and stretchy, just like a second skin. There is a medium tan tweed cloth suitcase sitting under a computer desk along the wall. Behind it is a huge camera bag with some various electronic equipment laying around it. I pick up the camera bag and find that it is empty. I felt the dream fading and could feel that my arm is going numb under my pillow in real life, so I concentrated on where I was just at and opened my eyes. (Note: I lose my lucidity at this point, but the dream remains extremely vivid. There is a large time gap in the dream here.) I walk into the kitchen and find a machine that appears to be a portable dishwasher for baby bottles. It had a small rack in it, a heating coil in the bottom and a hose with a hookup to fit a kitchen faucet. There is a window in the door and a control panel with lots of buttons. It is about the size of a large toaster oven. I push a button on the front panel and it starts to fill up with water. After a moment, it starts sloshing the water around and the heating coil heats up. I pressed another button and more water squirted into the machine, filling it slightly above the bottom of the window. I find this quite boring and walk away. The kitchen sink has two small cabinet doors above it. To the right is some counter space and an over-sized bread box with two large cabinet doors above. The stove is a gas stove with two small cabinet doors above it. The range hood has a lot of extra buttons and switches on it. There is something that just doesn't look right about the cabinets between the kitchen sink and stove. I try to open the doors, but they will not open. I become irritated that the doors will not open and bang on them with my hand. One of the doors falls off and reveals a lot of electronic equipment hidden behind the doors. There is a video camera with some strange adapters on the lens. The adapters connect to a pipe that goes outside through the wall. I unscrew the adapter and lower the camera to the counter. The adapter has the brand name "Olympus" on it. I unscrew and remove the other half of the adapter to reveal the pipe through the wall. I look through the pipe and I could see the courtyard outside the room. There is a large green grassy area with a couple if sidewalks going around a fountain. Short bushes lined the sidewalks, and there were a few small ornamental trees. A couple of DCs in the courtyard immediately stop whatever they are doing and stare at me through the pipe. Directly across the courtyard, I could see a similar pipe with a lens installed in another room. I asked myself, "This is crazy, am I dreaming or something?" I unplug the cables from the camera and trace them back into the next cabinet where they connect to a Harris AN/PRC-117F military two-way radio. I cannot read anything on the display, as the numbers are scrolling like a slot machine. I unscrew the connector from the radio and pull the cable out. I fish a couple more cables out of the cabinets and place them all on the counter with the camera. Directly under the radio is a Harris VRC-104 RF amplifier. The antenna cables from this amplifier go into the cabinet above the sink. There are two directional antennas on the cabinet doors, which point directly to the other room across the courtyard. One of the antennas has a label that says "440 MHz, 39 dBi" and other antenna says "2.2 GHz." I disconnect the antennas and the rest of the cables from the two-way radio and place them all on the counter. I thought to myself, "How am I going to fit all of this stuff in my luggage when I have to catch my flight out of here?" I walk back into the bedroom to grab the luggage and start filling it with all of this equipment. When I walk back the hallway, everything quickly fades to black. I can hear the echo of my own voice yelling, “Stabilize now!”, but it is too late. This was the dream's exit.

The screen of the laptop is illuminated bright blue, but I cannot read anything on it. I get up and walk outside a sliding glass door onto a dimly lit patio. The air is calm and it is very cool outside. There are a couple of pill bottles sitting on the table. I reach up and pull a shower curtain closed around the table. I open the first bottle and take a tablet out. While holding the first tablet, I open the second bottle and take a large capsule out. I put both of them in my mouth and pick up a glass of water. I think to myself that I'll just save these for later. After swallowing the pills, I walk back to the area on the floor which I previously prepared to sleep. I lay down and adjust my pillow, then pull a small blanket over myself. I close my eyes and after a brief moment, my vision begins to flash and my body starts to vibrate. DJ Log: September 19, 2010 – Morning, 8:00AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am walking down a housing development road on a cool late evening with a DC . The sounds of crickets chirping fill the air. We are walking under a small arched bridge and notice that it is pouring rain on the other side of the bridge. The sound of the rain echoes through the archway. As we walk, the rain suddenly stops and the ground is completely dry. I looked at my DC and said “That's weird. How could the ground be dry after all that rain?” The DC just gives me a strange look and says nothing. I become lucid at this point. After crossing under the bridge, I notice that there is a washer and dryer set sitting out for the trash at the first house on the right. I remember that my dryer is broken, so I summon a pickup truck. A detail-less pickup truck appears right in front of me. Conveniently, the tailgate is already down and the rear of the truck is facing the dryer. My DC won't help me load the dryer into the truck, so I lift it by myself. At first it was extremely heavy, but it became lighter and I was able to load it. My DC walks away while laughing at me. I turn and cuss him to his back as he walks away. (Note: No-recall time gap and lost lucidity here) I am standing in a basement, looking at the dryer. The control panel has the usual dial control and start button, but also has many other buttons and lights that completely cover the top panel. There is a series of buttons and lights for each selection on the control dial. There were extra buttons for; 'pots and pans', 'rinse and hold', and many more. I think that all of these buttons are ridiculous as I say. “Why would I put dishes in a clothes dryer?” I walk to the rear of the machine to check out the hookups, and find out that it is a gas dryer. There is a motor visible through the rear panel louvers that has a pulley and a belt on it. There is another motor that appears to be a small air compressor. Many relays, solenoids and other circuitry is visible. There are long quartz heater tubes, connected by springs on both ends which encircle the drum. A hinged panel has 3 small motors on it that connect to nothing. A label on the rear panel has some voltage and current ratings on it After reading a couple of lines, the text would get all blurry. I look away for a moment and try to continue reading, but the numbers would change every time I tried to read the label. I regain my lucidity and decide to walk away from the dryer. I remember mumbling, “Way more complicated that it needs to be. I'm going to find a better dryer.” I wander into a dark corner of the basement and trip over something on the floor. I lose my balance and fall to the floor. This was the dream's exit.

I crawled into bed around 4:00AM) I am standing in a a house trailer that belongs to my grandmother. I am quite familiar with the layout of the rooms and everything inside. I immediately became lucid, as I know my grandmother had passed away many years ago and her trailer is no longer a place I would visit. My mom was in the living room, and I was standing in front of the breakfast bar in the kitchen. I talk with my mom for a bit about why we are here. She explains that my grandmother was in the hospital and we were here for a visit. After talking a bit more, she walks back into the bedroom. I walk out into the living room and lay down on the couch to watch some TV, but the remote control will not work. I put the remote down and got up to push the buttons on the TV. The buttons do not work. I check the power cord to make sure it's plugged in, and everything looks like it's connected. After staring at the blank screen for a bit, trying to make it do something, I gave up. No TV! I lay back down on the couch and drift off to sleep. (Note: dream within dream.) I was having a short lucid dream, of which I cannot recall any details, when my mom came in the room yelling about something. I don't recall what she was yelling about. I woke up from the embedded dream, sort of irritated, and yelled back at my mom. I said, “You ruined a perfectly good lucid dream, please stop yelling and leave me alone for a little while.” While I was yelling, I raised my hands to make gestures and saw that my fingers didn't look quite right. After yelling, my mom went back into the bedroom, grumbling under her breath. I look at my hands again and count 7 fingers on the left hand and 8 on my right. My fingers were quite deformed. They were skinny and bent around, some of them crossing over each other. I began rubbing my hands together briskly while I stand up and walk toward the bathroom. The first thought on my mind was, “Find a mirror! I have a definite mission to complete." I enter the bathroom and look into the vanity mirror, while rubbing my hands together to help keep things stable. I am trying to remain calm and collected while my face quickly melts down and my eyes fall down below my nose. I observe for a few seconds before looking away from the mirror to look at my hands. I stop rubbing my hands and look back into the mirror. My face is moving in and out as I breathe, gaining more depth in the third dimension with each breath. I slowly raise my right hand in front of my face and my fingers flew off and go into my right eye socket. There are a couple of very long skinny fingers still attached that are trying to go up my nose. I lower my hand slightly and all of my fingers come out of my eye socket and reattach to my hand. When I raise my hand slightly, my fingers go into my eye socket again. The repeatable transition point seems to be once the fingers raise past the nose in the mirror. I raise my hand higher and my whole hand goes into my right eye socket, all the way to the elbow. All of my fingers begin falling out of my nose, bounce off the sink and go into my left eye socket. I lower my hand slowly and all of my fingers reattach themselves. I continue to stare in the mirror, watching my eyes stretch so wide my eyeballs almost fall out. Suddenly, I hear someone call my name from outside the bathroom. I look at the door, and notice that I had forgot to close it completely. I run to the door and push it shut the rest of the way. I walk back to the vanity mirror and decide to stretch it all the way down to the floor so I can walk through it. Feeling a bit rushed because I know someone is walking toward the bathroom, I grab the bottom of the mirror frame and pull it firmly towards the floor. The mirror offers some resistance, but complies with the stretch. While pulling the mirror down, the sink and cabinet disappear into the floor. As soon as I finish stretching the mirror, an older guy walks into and through the bathroom, into a connecting room. He is giving me the “death look” as he walks by. I stare back at him with a very defensive, angry glare while he passes. I look back at the mirror and touch the glass. My fingers pass through the glass without any resistance. It is very cold on the other side of the glass. I take a step back and walk into the mirror, only to bounce off of the glass. The surface would no longer give way and let me through. I am getting frustrated with the mirror, and decide to abandon it and walk out of the bathroom. I walk outside, through the kitchen window and climb along a chain-link fence on top of a narrow concrete retaining wall. I came upon some bushes along the fence which are scratching my legs on the way by. The feeling of the scratches sent waves of chills through my body and caused me to nearly lose my grip on the fence. I looked at my hands for a brief moment and my fingers were thoroughly wrapped around the top of the fence. The wall leads me into a very small, one room house. The walls are blue-gray and so was the floor. There is a small window on each side of the room, but no doors. I can see a close neighbor cooking food on the stove from one side, and someone talking on the phone to the other side. The third window is as black as outer space. The room was entirely empty, except for a small wooden chair in the corner. There seems to be nothing of interest in here, so I exit through the same window which I came. I climb up and walk along the fence and return to the trailer I came from before. There is very little detail on the return journey along the fence. I climb in the kitchen window and find a huge pile of rare-cooked steak laying all over the stove top. It smells freshly cooked, and has a pile of fresh blood puddling under the steaks. I pick up a piece of steak and try to eat it. It was as heavy as a rock, tough as leather, and tasted like rotting flesh. I throw the steak on the floor and try to eat another piece. It is also tough as leather, but has no taste. I throw the second piece of steak on the floor also. A puddle of blood begins to form around the steaks on the floor. I look at my hands, counting 8-9 fingers on each hand that are very long and skinny. There is a lot of blood dripping from my fingers. I rub my hands together and I can feel the slimy blood smearing around all over them. The smell of rotting flesh begins to fill the air. I rub my hands on my pants to clean them off. The layout of the trailer has completely changed during my outside excursion. There is no longer a bathroom in the hallway next to the kitchen. The living room is now a large dining room with a formal setting. There are candles in the center of the table and all of the places are set. I cannot find an exterior door, anywhere. A mirror is visible through a doorway in a different bathroom. I walk into the bathroom and find a mirrored shower door. I back up and run as fast as I can into the mirror, passing through it with no resistance. This was the dream's exit.

DJ Log: September 11, 2010 – Morning, 4:30AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · Walking into a large house with 3 DCs, two males and one female. The lower level is one big room, full of assorted stuff. Most of the items appear to be household furniture. I slide a couple of pieces of patio furniture to the side and walk to a large wooden door. Opening the door reveals a Paternoster. The wall is partially transparent and all of the cars and drive cables are visible on one side only. A male DC boards a Paternoster car, only to go in a complete circle and return to the same spot. I became lucid at this time. I found my hands and started rubbing them together for a bit while looking at the floor. The floor is a gray-blue at first, but quickly forms the detail of medium hardwood planks. When I look back at the wall, the Paternoster is now working properly and the wall is solid white. Both sides of the Paternoster are visible and the cars are moving in the proper direction. The cars are well lit and have a sign on the back wall that I cannot read. I boarded a car and one female DC got in the car with me. The car was moving on a journey that seems to last quite a long time. The floor of the car vibrates and the sound of rushing wind surrounds me from all sides. The car reaches the end of its track and turns upside-down before letting us off at the second floor. Maintaining balance was not a problem as the gravity seems to invert with the car. The second floor is upside-down in relation to the first floor. (Note: I do not remember stepping out of the car.) The second floor is a huge living room with no windows. The walls and ceiling are white. A dark wooden chair rail separates medium wide-grain wood paneling from the rest of the wall. Huge crystal chandeliers provide light in the room. The room is full of sofas, tables, lamps and other furniture. There are framed paintings(?) on the wall, but they are all a gray-blue blur. I walked into the middle of the room and my DC sits down on a couch. Two ferrets are stirring around in a cage in the corner. The ferrets look out of the cage, then walk to the lower level of their cage and exit. They run over to my feet for a moment. One of the ferrets runs over and checks out my DC on the couch. I picked up the remaining ferret and sat on the couch. The couch was soft black leather and was extremely plush and comfortable. Two small dogs ran from a dark corner and jumped on the couch with me. One of the dogs licked my face. I pushed the dogs off the couch onto the floor and said “NO!” I find a remote control laying on the couch, but none of the buttons work. My DC asked me, “What's wrong with the TV?” I said, “I don't know.” I pressed the button again and heard a very loud crackling sound. This was the dream's exit.

DJ Log: September 09, 2010 – Morning, 7:30AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I am walking into an entirely white room, and quickly become lucid. A good looking young guy is sitting on a couch, staring at me. I slowly walk over and sit close beside him. He begins to massage my shoulders while I turn slightly and lay on his lap. A wonderful feeling of love fills me completely. His hands move to my chest as I lean back, pinching and teasing my nipples. I put my left arm around him and look into his eyes. Becoming quite aroused, I looked at my hands for a moment to help prolong the dream. His hands move slowly toward my waist line. My heart is pounding and I am as hard as a rock. He slowly slides my shorts off and begins to give me oral. It felt so incredibly good. I close my eyes and lean my head back. This was the dream's exit.

DJ Log: September 09, 2010 – Morning, 4:15AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · I can't recall the entry point, but I am walking with a couple of people through a sparsely wooded area. My leg is hurt and I can't walk very well. We are crossing a small bridge over a muddy creek bed. I am stopping to sit down for a brief moment because my leg is bothering me. After resting for a bit, we begin to walk around again. There is a long-handled tool (possibly a shovel) laying along the trail. I pick it up and notice that there is something wrong with the end of it. I swing the tool into a tree a couple of times and it passes through the tree as if the laws of physics didn't apply. I became lucid at this time. While asking myself, “How did I get here?”, the scenery quickly morphs into a very dense forest. The air is filling with sounds of birds and animals. While watching these changes take place before my eyes, I discover a snake climbing up a tree. The snake has smooth tree bark for skin, which flows fluidly from head to tail as the snake moves through the tree. A small monkey is climbing in a tree above and loses its grip, causing quite a bit of commotion. When I hear the sound and look up to see the monkey, the sky changes from dark blue into a plasma-like swirl of intensely bright colors. I lose my balance and stumble while staring upward. This was the dream's exit.
DJ Log: September 07, 2010 – Morning, 5:00AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · Walking with a few people down a highway, crossing a huge multi-tiered interchange. There were no sidewalks on most of the journey. I could hear a clicking sound that slowly morphed into music. After a moment, I could clearly recognize what was playing. Having now realized that the music I was hearing was the music I left playing before going to sleep, I became lucid and looked for a second reality check. While searching, a set of stairs began to appear just off the side of a ramp. I am walking up the stairs and (Note: Sudden scene change) found myself inside the lobby of an old hotel. We walked to the elevator and pressed the button. Could hear the elevator going up and down, but it never arrived. While waiting for the elevator, an older lady behind the counter said “You don't want to take that elevator. It's hot in there.” After waiting for a bit longer, I decided to take the stairs. All of the people who were previously with me were now gone. I am climbing the stairs which lead into a dark hallway. I step into the hallway and flip several switches, but the lighting never changes. There is a mirror at the end of the hallway. Upon walking toward it, the dream dissipates quickly. This was the dream's exit.
