I Play Far Too Many Video Games

Only a few fragments this time. The first was just a constant third-person perspective of a video-game, a sort of cross between Bahamut Lagoon and Kirby 64. The overworld was that of a SNES RPG, while the action was a side-scrolling shooter.

IN addition, the 'player character' consisted of a group of three characters who worked together (think Sonic Heroes), and I'm pretty sure that two of them were these guys:

I couldn't really make out the third, but I imagine that they also had an obscured face. I remember that they were female and wearing black clothing. *shrug*

So, these three went through a fairly generic side-scrolling shooty level with lots of flying objects to blow up (though oddly the screen was scrolling from right to left where it's usually the other way around). Then a hole appeared in the ground, they were forced through it, and suddenly a boss battle began involving Acro (the whale in pic #2) and a METRIC TON of falling rocks.
Once the whale was ultimately defeated, a message popped up essentially saying: "That's your game." and the game reverted to a town hub (as in pic #1) with a variety of side-missions. If the dream-me was PLAYING the game, then I imagine I just gave up at that point, because I can't remember anything after that.

Why is the first character hopping over testicales?

Haha, those are actually her arms. But yeah, they're ridiculously oversized (mainly because the contain an entire armory's worth of hidden, bladed weaponry) so that pose isn't particularly flattering!

Ugh, now I'll never look at that picture in the same way again...
