Just posting the noteworthy dreams, you don't care about the rest.

      First Stablising Attempt (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My third lucid since using DreamViews! Dream recall has be shit recently, due to getting a maximum of 6 hours of sleep each night from working 12 hour shifts at the Olympics. This dream occurred on one of my days off, however, during a comfortable 12 hours sleep.

As I'm walking a builder/gardener out of my family's new house, he hands me a massive joint, saying he doesn't want or need it. I gladly take it and walk back into my house. I walk past a room where my mum's sitting and worry that she may have seen it in my hand. Semi-panicking, I dash it under a cupboard in the next room.

She then calls me back and asks if I have any weed on me. I confidently say no, and challenge her to search me, but she uses an electronic radar device to search the immediate area. Thankfully nothing shows up, even after increasing the radius of the radar.

Once she moves to the garden, I act on my opportunity to move the weed upstairs to the attic room.

      Here's where it gets interesting.

When coming back downstairs, I contemplate vaulting over the bannister. Suddenly I remember, vaulting over bannisters and falling the ground floor was a recurring dream during my childhood. Am I dreaming? The fact that I'm even considering falling that far suggests I must be. Only one way to find out.

I fall almost the whole way, but just before the ground I levitate.

I'm dreaming, I knew it! Now to have some fun.

I fly around the house for a bit, before making my way back upstairs to my room. For the first time I remember I have to stablise in order to keep this incredible dream going. I rub my hands together and a wave of euphoria hits me. Who knew stablising could feel this good?

I then rub my hands on my chest of drawers and I'm amazed at how accurately my mind has recreated its texture! The euphoria intensifies and I just stand there, rubbing my hands on the wooden cupboard.

I attempt to transport into my computer monitor, but this fails and I decide I'm not experienced enough to pull of such advanced maneuvers and the dream ends.

    2. Surrounded House & The Car Crash

      Surrounded House (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm in my old house with my family, though it looks very different. Each room is divided into a grid, and I'm in the process of marking the floor under everything we want to keep, each mark applying to everything in the vertical space above it.

The reason I do this is because a crowd of people have surrounded our house, and don't want us to leave for some reason. In the back of my mind I get the feeling they plan on setting fire to the house. I need to mark our most important possessions in order to save them from being destroyed.

My dad suggests my sister, mum and I go out first, as we're more likely to get through the crowd, as it's him they want. Again, I have no idea why they want us, but I suspect they aren't afraid to use violence.

"I'll just fight my way through them" I suggest, but we all know it's not a good idea.

Unfortunately there was no conclusion to this dream

      Car Crash (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm travelling in the back of a police car (though not because I'm in trouble) with a woman driving and a bearded man in the passenger seat.

Just as the man notices something strange, we swerve unexplainably, crash and flip multiple times. None of us are injured.

I then see a nervous, insecure man who's suing the woman driver for a lot of money. His snobby parents tell him that they're finally proud of him, as if the money he's winning from the case is the same as him earning as respectable wage for once.

Reggie And The Dangerous Road (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm at my new house, and my sister opens the front gate to test it. As soon as I realise the danger, I see my dog, Reggie, run out across the busy road.

He stands excited on the other side of the road amongst some bushes, looking like he's about to cross again.

I run towards him, shouting at him to stay, and pick him up just in time.

My Album's In The Charts! (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This was a horribly disappointing dream to wake up from, albeit a bit ridiculous.

I'm with my dad who shows me that my new dream-inspired drum & bass track has made its way into the top 10 music downloads of this week. I'm amazed, not only because I'm nowhere near that standard yet, but because I haven't even released it! I wonder if someone's put it up for sale without me knowing.

I then notice the whole album is included in a multi-album compilation CD. My fears of copyright are massively dwarfed by my overwhelming sense of flattery.

    5. My Dad Wants To Smoke Weed

My Dad Wants To Smoke Weed (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm with my dad, who rolls a joint, badly, and I have to tidy it up for him. I can tell he's new to it as he's overly eager for me to spark it, though I act cool and nonchalant. Though I don't know how my dad really feels about weed, the fact that it's illegal is enough for him.

A policeman comes to the window of our car, just as I manage to hide all the bits of weed scattered across my lap.

We never got round to sparking it

    6. British Money!

      British Money! (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Me, my mum and my sister all enter a corner shop to buy some food. Once we've taken our items to the counter I hand over a pile of coins with which to pay.

Unimpressed, the Swedish woman behind the counter asks about a particular coin, a 20p. After attempting to scan it in the barcode scanner she tells us she won't accept it, unsure of what it is.

'It's British Money!' I shout, suddenly agitated.

After arguing for a few minutes, I casually knock over an empty wine bottle as an intimidation tactic. She draws a knife and beckons me over to her.

Of course I know that would end with me being stabbed, so I refuse. A punch up starts, and I win easily.

We begin to leave with our shopping, but put it down by the door in case it sets off the alarm.

    7. Flying In A Futuristic City and other dreams

Flying In A Futuristic City (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I think this was my second lucid, but unfortunately it's relatively hazy due to my recent neglect of my dream journal. I do remember the immense pleasure, however.

I'm on my own in an empty, colourful, futuristic city, leaping of objects and buildings and flying. I spend a while playing with this new ability, though it fails me on occasion.

      Shooting Down Planes (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm in a Fallout 3-type setting with a crowd of armour-clad strangers. Me and a friend, new to the team, try and shoot down an enemy plane with a pistol and a sniper respectively.

We fail to bring it down and get mocked by the other, more experienced, soldiers.

Another plane arrives, and I notice it's an AC-130. We frantically shoot at it, knowing it is likely to destroy us, but nothing works. Huge explosive shots begin to land all around us, and the leader of our troupe suggests we use the two rocket launchers.

I volunteer instantly and take it down.

      12.06.2012
      Earthquake (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm driving to a hospital with my dad, and I tell him about my recent lucid (see above), yet he doesn't seem to care.

After parking on the top floor of a car park, an earthquake hits the building. The building shakes erratically for an unusually long time, and everyone panics.

Once the earthquake has passed I notice a woman who has managed to keep a 5ft stack of pub glasses standing throughout, which I find very impressive!
    8. Defending The Locals

      01.05.2012
      Defending The Locals (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm in a foreign country, on top of a massively high bridge with my family and other tourists. Below us on a beach are several locals, mainly children.

Suddenly, men emerge from the various rock pools scattered over the beach and begin chasing and attacking the children.

Unfortunately, from so high up, we are all helpless to stop them. All we can do is watch in horror.

I then see a couple of small sharks chase a boy
(somehow on land) and I jump all the way down from the bridge just as they begin to bite his arm. I grab one and punch it repeatedly, until it no longer poses a threat.

    9. Sister's News

by , 04-17-2012 at 08:03 PM (The Inner Workings of a Sound Addict)
Sub-par recall last night, but oh well.

      ---

      16/4/12

I'm in the kitchen at home, and my mum asks whether I've heard my sister's news. Somehow, I immediately guess that's she's written an album [despite being completely unmusical in real life]. I get played it, and it's in a contemporary jazz style, with vocals by Jamie Cullum, my mum's favourite artist.

I'm pretty jealous, seeing as music's my 'thing' and I've been working on it for a lot longer, and almost ask how much of the album she actually wrote
[it was almost definitely 100% Jamie Cullum's music].

    10. Santa's Date

by , 04-15-2012 at 05:36 PM (The Inner Workings of a Sound Addict)
I'm back at uni! And despite being rather drunk last night, my lie-in gave me some really nice recall (after what must have been at least 10 hours of sleep). However, I'm pretty sure I'm missing the first half of this dream, but the second half was definitely more interesting.

      ---

      14/4/12

I'm on holiday with the family in a cottage of sorts, and I come downstairs to ask what's for dinner. I'm told by my mum that we need to eat up the leftovers because it's our last day here.

These leftovers turn out to be a small packet of pretzels, 3 packets of cheese and onion Hoola Hoops and a chocolate brownie. Definitely not what I was expecting.

I munch on the packet of pretzels and head outside to find everyone playing American football. I join in briefly against some DCs that quite clearly have never played before, before getting out the brownie
      [as I'm obviously still hungry].

Pushing my luck, I go back inside and ask if there's definitely no other food, to which I get response I expected. Appalled, I rudely say

"that's outrageous! How do you expect that amount of food to be enough?"

Backed up by the rest of my family, my mum caves in and we go to a restaurant for dinner.

While in the restaurant, we casually change into the cast of Family Guy. Peter
[who used to be my dad] orders a lot of food, and I see a cartoon representation of our stomaches, and that they're nearly full anyway. We get our nachos, and eat them while walking on the tables.

Still in cartoon mode, a fight breaks out at the other end of the restaurant, ending my time in 1st person perspective.

I then proceed to watch in 3rd person as Meg gets picked up by Santa and walked home. Once home, he asks whether he'll see her again, to which she replies

      "I like clever guys"

and kisses him on the cheek. As she opens her front door, Santa pretends to go next door to a 'party' and tries to make up a pathetic excuse to come inside her house. Severely parred, Santa walks off.

    11. Bungee Swings and Miniature Cars

by , 03-29-2012 at 01:03 PM (The Inner Workings of a Sound Addict)
Another imaginative dream last night, with pretty decent recall - I'm definitely improving again. I also had a very strange experience when I first fell asleep, which I could use some help with: http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/help-i...4/#post1848951.

      ---

      28/3/12

I'm at a carnival with the family, carrying a small paper bag with a car inside (not a toy, mind, but a fully functional car). The main attraction is a huge pair of bungee cords, which two guys are swinging from. My perspective then switches to that of one of the people on the ride and I come very close to swinging all the way over the top bar, as well as colliding with things. However, no one in the crowd seemed concerned in the slightest for my safety.

Back on the ground, I watch a couple of kids ride up a larger triangular ramp on a BMX. When my parents approach me, they tell me I should have told them before going up the ramp, as if it was me that did it
[and as if I was still a child]. Upset about not being allowed any fun, I follow them back to the car, trailing behind. I pull a scooter from a small bag, but unfortunately can't ride it on the dirt path. My sister offers a BMX from her bag, but I tell her there's no point as we're almost there.

Just before arriving at the car, the miniature car somehow gets away and I chase it as it speeds towards the road. I steer it away from an oncoming car with my mind, and manage to jump on before it hits another. Driving it is difficult, but extremely fun, raising my spirits again. I return it to our car and fall asleep next to it in the boot.

I should also mention that at one point in my dream I looked at my tattoo in the mirror, which had grown to cover half my left arm.

    12. Return to Dream Journalling

by , 03-18-2012 at 11:51 PM (The Inner Workings of a Sound Addict)
Partly from the downtime of DV, and partly from my own neglect, my dream journal has been largely untouched recently. Now that I'm back from uni for a while, and away from its many dream-inhibiting substances, I think I'll try and get this up and running again.

My lack of dream journalling has noticeably affected my dream recall, unfortunately, so I feel as if I'm back to the start, but here goes: a retrospective view of some of the more interesting dream fragments.

      ---

      5/3/12

My friend gets stung by a wasp, so I take out a lawsuit against the wasp.

      ---

      7/3/12

I'm in a cruise ship hotel with my sister and cousin, and we steal my own dog (god knows who from). We escape to the top floor, which happens to be a posh restaurant, in which I'm pretty sure we're not allowed. My mum assures me it's fine, as my sister and cousin leave. She later plays some liquid drum & bass on some fat speakers, 'Memoirs' by Rameses B.

      ---

      14/3/12

I'm on a bed in a public place with my ex-girlfriend from about 3 years ago. I haven't seen her in a while and she tells me about implants she got recently, all 3 of them. She tells me to feel them, then to help her lose her virginity [despite previously being my girlfriend]. Though I nobly oblige, she leaves before we can do the deed, much to the disappointment of my entourage, who had recently formed in the room.

      ---

      17/3/12

I'm back from uni and my mum tells me she's seen my tattoo [though in real life, she still hasn't] and thinks it's disgusting [in the dream, it does actually look pretty vile]. However, she says she's over it because she's already cried about it and gotten it out of her system. [I really hope this isn't a true representation of how it actually goes down!]

    13. Saving Folders from Flooding Beaches (and other such activities)

by , 02-13-2012 at 01:05 AM (The Inner Workings of a Sound Addict)
Woke up for my lecture this morning, wrote down my dream, fell asleep, woke up again with another dream in mind, realised I had missed most of my lecture, got some more sleep and finally woke up with a third dream - which is a great result compared to my usual 1 per night. My second and third were particularly memorable, so I'm glad I gave myself a lie in
      ---
      12/2/12
I'm home from my lifeguarding job [which I was fired from a long time ago] and my house is busy with dozens of random people. I look for my boss's wife to give her something [curry, I think it was]. Later, as I play with my dog, Reggie, he nibbles along my arm, leaving some sort of yellow dye [which I, for some reason, dismiss as normal] . I go to the living room of my house, where my dad and sister watch a rugby match, which a strange man proceeds to parachute onto.
      ---
I'm on a beach in a film, and some guys nearby are annoyingly throwing sand. As I approach them, and the hole they're standing in, they leave. In the hole is a folder full of papers, which I throw away. However, a phone nearby rings and tells me to retrieve the folder, as well as to destroy the hole. Without question I do what I'm told, yet the tide begins to come in fast.

Soon the water is neck-height, and I search around for the folders (of which there are now two) with the help of my mum and sister. As we struggle against the waves we lose a lot of pages, before finally reaching the back wall of the beach. It's then that I realise all of my stuff is underwater, much to my frustration.

      ---
At uni, me and several friends run for a bus to take us to a gig. Once on, everyone takes ages sorting out payment for the bus, making the driver wait, due to high levels of intoxication. Chemical Fires by Tides of Man comes on the bus's speakers [which would be great in real life] and I began to sing along. Very loudly.
      http://youtu.be/JEW5gMqhid0
Everyone seems to enjoy watching me drunkenly sing, and sometimes shout, to the rest of the public on the bus. As the chorus is in a 3/4 time signature, a girl begins to waltz with me. At the end of the song I scream the final words and, suddenly worried I'll be kicked off the bus, return to my seat.

Two friends (one from uni, one from school) provide the follow up act: one beatboxes a strange mixture of banjos and club house, while the other dances frantically (and almost dangerously). This act of extreme inebriation is enjoyed immensely by everyone on the bus, until the two performers collapse on top of each other and throw up everywhere

    14. Our Miniature Ape

by , 01-19-2012 at 04:27 PM (The Inner Workings of a Sound Addict)
Not much of a recall night, last night, but I do remember this little fragment.
      ---
      18/1/12
I am on a cruise ship with the family [again with the family!] and we have this tiny, but full-grown, ape of about 5 inches in height. It's so cool, constantly climbing on us and swinging around the boat - but that's all I remember of it.

Later on my dad orders two waters from the bar, and explains to the barmaid the best way to do it. He asks for two cylindrically-shaped lemons and ice which as been scraped off a larger block with a knife. Tasted fucking fantastic.

    15. Unsafe Rollercoasters and Delivering Cakes to Rappers

by , 01-16-2012 at 05:08 PM (The Inner Workings of a Sound Addict)
Ok so my dream last night was pretty much all over the place, and I'm sure the following structure is artificial due to my mind's desire to make the story more followable, but you get the picture this way at least.
      ---
      15/1/12
As far as I can remember, the dream starts with my family having just come into some money to take us out of our life-long debt (which we do not have IRL), of which my dad wastes on something extravagant [in some sort of Family Guy manner]. Angry with him, we all get into a rusty old car and set off.

Our journey takes us to a rollercoaster-shaped path - throwing us up into the air over every hill. The car disappears without us noticing, and I realise the small cart I'm sitting on (now detached from the rest of my family) is rather unstable! I put all my effort into keeping it stable, but I'm more concerned about my more less-well-balanced family, particularly at the speeds we're all going.

We all make it safely to a platform in the water (apart from my mum, who had to swim the last bit) which features a set of bungee ropes and two body straps. In my mind I know I've done this before, and that it catapults you across the body of water to another rollercoaster, yet there if you don't strap yourself in fast enough, you risk serious injury. I barely save my sister as she slowly attempts to go first. The ropes snap off violently into the distance and we wait for the next set to arrive.

The rollercoasters then appear to be a video game, and we're all back in my front room back home, with the addition of my cousins and aunt. I get a brief glimpse that this is an Adventure Time video game, seeing Finn and Jake, while also finding out the aim is to deliver an extremely sugary cake to a group of rappers (given to me by P Diddy himself -
I don't even like his music). My sister and spoilt cousin try the game but do not even reach the rollercoaster level, so I offer to try. My aunt gets stressed and says my cousin has another go (rather unfairly, yet I go along with it as the elder) before she breaks down into tears, claiming she doesn't want another go! A tense family feud ensues, and I unfortunately never get the chance to deliver the cake to those disappointed rappers
