I am on what seems to be a speed boat. The boat also seems very long and flat. We seem to be going rather fast over the open water (the ocean?) We are not too far away from the shore though. There is something about us being on the way to see Dead and Company and/or John Mayer driving the boat. I think about how I’ve seen Dead and Co in the middle of the desert and will now see them out in the middle of water, impressed by this. (I’m envisioning a scene of them set up out in the sand - by Las Vegas? - with no stage or crowd). I’ve been standing on this boat, and there’s a guy standing next to me. I wait until we’ve arrived to strike up conversation. I ask if he’s ever surfed? In an English accent he says ‘just now’ or something similar. Now, I am swimming.

I am returning some wine to Total Wine. It is a red wine, but it looks just like a six pack of bottles with a white film over them (like on a Guinness). I walk up to the large counter and hand them over, asking him if I can just tell him the ‘last four’ of my phone number. He says no, he needs the receipt, which is no problem; I take it from my pocket. It’s a long receipt, neatly folded. I notice that the name of the wine happens to be right along a crease. I think he doesn’t see it for a second because of this. He also makes a comment about the wine as he processes the return. He kind of looks like Kevin from work. I am wearing my black mask but notice that many aren’t wearing one, which makes me want to take mine off.

Bailey is in the garage at Mom’s barking incessantly with no reason. Makayla and I both hear it and go out there. The garage is full of stuff. Makayla grabs Bailey by the snout, telling her she’s annoying and that she hates her. I tell Makayla that I just had a dream that Bailey was talking, which I am taking to mean that my dreaming mind knew Bailey was barking.

I am outside with some others. It seems to be a class, and there is a projector and screen. It’s showing two rows of lockers, each against a wall in a hallway. The very first on the right side has some type of structural bolt on top of it. We are all drawing this. It is a video though, and I suggest we pause it on the scene we need, instead of letting it play like they’re doing. We pause it a few different times, none exactly where we need it. I then have the idea to hit the fast forward button while it is paused so that it’ll move one frame ahead. Now, I’m by a small concrete bridge. There is a steel bolt protruding from the side that has two wide, flat prongs so it can be turned. Melissa is here and either she or someone else asks me what it does. I say “I have no idea” but feel bad about myself because I think I really should know. I go ahead and tighten it a bit. Nothing bad happens, but I feel like it had the potential to make it collapse. I see Melissa adjusting the waist of her jeans and think that what I did somehow made her jeans get tighter.

I awaken on what seems to be the bottom bunk bed in a boat. I’m on my back and facing a window. Through the blinds I can see the pre-dawn light. I know it is or is close to 5:30 am. I notice Dad walking past, getting things ready, probably for fishing. I feel fairly awake, possibly contributed to by his being up and around. He’s now asking if I want to come with him. Part of me wants to and part of me thinks I should say yes instead of my usual no. he says they’re exploring some cove? and that on the boat I can use the seat called ‘angel’s rest’? This is a tradition, I think. There is a middle aged man and his son, probably around four, sitting on a couch; they are coming also. I notice how similar the boy looks to his dad. I imagine us on a boat and him talking to me the most since I’m closest to his age. For some reason I also imagine him starting to drown and me being the one to save him. I now grab a plastic water bottle from a fridge and start to get ready.

I am on a boat with most of the family I think. It is a passenger boat with seating up top (like the boat we went on in Maui), and seems to be travelling pretty fast. I am holding a very full cup of coffee, somehow balancing and not spilling it. I notice the thin layer of froth on top and think it’s miraculous that it’s not spilling in these conditions. I think we now either pick up speed and/or it becomes very windy, because I’m finding it hard to just stay on the boat without holding on. Finally, I succumb and am tossed over the railing. I think I am able to strongly swim some of the way back, but they’ll have to come back for me.

I am in a boat (very similar to if not the same as Dad’s old fishing boat) with 2-3 others. The lake we are on looks like Pyramid, albeit smaller and with a deeper, cleaner blue. The guy driving this boat has short and coarse gingery blond hair and a detached expression on his face as he maneuvers this machine absolutely recklessly. I feel the vibrations from the thin floor as he speeds over the water. I am grossly aware of how close to nothing is separating me from the water and the extent of damage this speed could cause. I bear down as he nears a sizable rock barely protruding from the surface and instead of turning to the right turns towards the shore. The momentum carries us across the sand and up and off a slight incline. This goes on for a while, him recklessly driving the boat, on both land and water.

(fragment) I am outside what I think is Kat’s house. I stand outside the back glass slider door, in swim trunks, dripping wet. Kat opens the door and I say “I’ll need a towel”. She leaves and is gone for longer than I expected. I wonder if how I phrased that was rude and/or if I was supposed to bring my own towel.

I am on a boat with Melissa. This boat has physical inclinations of being a speed boat, though there is a mental connotation of it being a much larger vessel, due to an array of items abundantly stored about. We are lying on a seat or some other space that is free of the mostly organized clutter. There is the open water to our right (I believe this boat is moving at a moderate speed) and the helm mostly visible a few yards from our heads. The semi-enclosedness and silmutaneous proximity to the open water creates an interesting feeling. Melissa is naked, her legs slightly splayed. I am comfortably between them, gently but aptly going down on her. I think someone is now up by the wheel of the boat, so we move to cover ourselves up a bit, though not completely.
