I've always admired wolves, though I'm not quite sure what caused me to have so many wolf dreams last night.
Interesting stuff. You seem to have an interest with wolves :p
Thanks. It was definitely a fun dream. They were like anthromorphic spiders. Probably inspired by this picture, except that the ones in my dream had more spider-like faces as well.
I love your dreams! All the different quests and characters in this one were pretty awesome. Did the spider people look like spiders or were they just creepy people?
Thanks! Sadly I didn't wake up immediately after the dream, so I didn't even have a chance to write it before it slipped away. Haha, apparently I'm one of the people who have a lot of demon lucids, then. Or just demon dreams in general.
Yay congrats on the lucid! If you're like me and don't record your dreams until way later, or if you sleep in longer after the dreams, you forget alot. Same thing happened to me this morning lol. I gotta break that habit. I'm also loving the fat demon you have there haha. There's a couple of us who have demon lucids alot, equally annoying and funny
I used to have it happen so frequently, that I made my number one rule: Do not wake yourself up under any circumstances. (Of course, I kind of neglected that rule after all of my SP episodes lately. But I'm getting back to it now.) That's an interesting observation about your DC's intelligence. Normally mine vary based on the type of DC, regardless of how aware I am. DCs that are people that I know IRL are almost always really dumb or weird, while a lot of the "original" ones are more intelligent.
Blessing and a curse I tell yah. I hate those moments when I think "you know what...what if something is really going on in waking life". Seemed like you handled it pretty good. And lol at how Amanda kinda went lifeless once you became lucid. I find it that most of the time DC's vary in intelligence based on my lucidity (smart if it's low, dumb if it's high). However, they've been pretty smart during some occasions where I was super aware.
Great idea. I made occasional maps of individual dreams in the past and always enjoyed having that reference point to refresh myself later when I was reviewing. Like most good ideas, it worked so well that I stopped doing it. I'll start doing that again!
You could always do individual maps for each dream, and then if there are any overlappings, combine those into one map. Doing that might even give your brain the connection to make your dreamscape more persistent. Haha, that might be more of a testament to my aging laptop than the vastness of my dreamworld. Still, I'm hoping to find some large sheets of paper the next time I go shopping so I can finally get a start on this. Though mine won't look nearly as nice as Keela's! O_O That's a gorgeous map. Sadly drawing is not my forte..

Very nice. Yes, dream cartography (good term for it) really is a fascinating subject. I find it especially fascinating because it's what I want but don't actually have. Anyway, I'm impressed/intimidated/amazed that your dreamworld map is large enough to crash your computer. Kind of cool that it's too big for a computer but not too big for a brain. Keela, a student in the Intro Class drew a really amazing map of her persistent dreamworld and posted it in her Dream Journal a while back. It was really cool work, and you might enjoy giving it a look as well. My Dreamworld Map (circa 2004) - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views
The map is as persistent as it can be in the dream world, so there are some discrepancies of course. For a while I've been pretty interested in dream cartography, so I pay really close attention in my lucids to where certain locations are in relation to others that I know about. Sadly I have not yet physically drawn out this map (I don't have paper big enough, and the one time I tried on MS Paint, the huge file nearly crashed my computer). So it's all in my head for now. I read a really cool post once that says your house is actually the center of your dream map, so I'd say that counts!
Cool dream! Just thinking about movie action scenes makes my heart pound but for some reason I rarely have these sorts of cool chase / fight scenes in my LDs. Good fun, and impressive restraint not skewering the turncoat. I was intrigued by your mention of a dream map. Is this a map to a persistent dreamworld that you experience? This is a concept that really interests me, although I have no persistent dreamworld of my own. (My house, site of many a false awakening, doesn't count IMO.)
That's interesting... There's a term for that, when various people dream about the same subject within a certain time frame, but it has completely slipped my mind. It's something similar to shared dreaming, but with a concept or object instead of an actual dream. Wish I could remember the word...
Weird. I read a dream someone had a few months ago about a creepy cult at their school.
Awesome, go get it friend. You seem to make good use of it for sure
I don't mind at all. Knowing other people read my dreams gives me more motivation for lucidity.
Such a rich plot, I never experienced something like this. Subscribing to your DJ, if you don't mind of course.
Thanks for reading, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, it was definitely one of the most intense dreams I've had, and that's saying something.
