Thread: OBE while having an operation?

Espada if you are being administered anistesia you will not even have time to remeber to try and have an OBE. I have been put under twice for arm surgery and it takes about five seconds to become unconscious. But if you are being given medicine that will not completely knock you out you might have a chance. Your only major obstacle will be remebering the event. And any kind of sudden jerks that happen occasionally while lying down could be devastating.

My advice is no. But it is your choice.

I like this idea, a lot. Do it.

If you manage, make a family member or something hold up a sign with random text facing away from you. That way, if you do have an OBE, you can go look at the sign and later ask the person if the text you saw matched the text on the sign. If it does, then you really did project your consciousness away from your body. If not, then 'twas a dream.

(Since I really think OBEs are nothing but lucid dreams in the room you fell asleep in or whatever. And if it was a lucid dream, then it was obviously generated by your mind in which case there is no way you could know what was on the sign. The ultimate test.)

I actually remember reading this article a while back about a guy who was having an operation and he got out of his body. I think he actually talked to some other entity in the astral who told him he was going to stay safe during the procedure.

Hmm, I'll search around for it + share it if I find it again. Was interesting.

But yeah, go for it!

I don't think you guys realize but if he gets put all the way under he would need to proform the OBE in 5 seconds.

I have had surgery where I was put out. As I was loosing consciousness, I saw something that I can only describe as black lightning.

It happens on its own because pain forces the mind out of the body as this will keep it from having to feel anything.

Its like taking a car in for repairs, you don't want to be in the driver seat when someone is poking a drill around in there

Where is your mind located? Where is your reality located? They are one in the same hidden behind the consciousness, behind somewhere you cannot comprehend, this is the spirit embodied in the world we live. OBE exists even if science doesn't realise in what context or design the world we live in works, because it matters not where it happens but that it happens
