The problem is, among crowds so...erm...interesting as the 'Psi Experts' here, it's hard to tell whether that question was posed seriously.

I just read an article, they're balls of energy.

I'm not sure about Dragon Ball Z but in the Sreet Fighter series the balls of energy that Ryu and Ken throw are psi balls that Dalsim taught them how to create and throw.

Wow. That's a piece of trivia for ya'.

Anyway. Wish I could do that. Y'know...unlimited destruction at my fingertips. Or palms. Whatever. Too bad it's all bullocks.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure its not as elaborate as DBZ.

the energy blasts in DBZ are a major exageration of a true psi ball. a psi ball is hard for most people to make visible, much less destroy a planet. though some of the stances shown are effective while making a psi ball, the energy itself is not that destructive.

You know I do find it just *slightly* miffy that we're sort of using an japanese cartoon as a sort of base for our guesses on psi.

Yep! Perfectly serious. I mean, neither have a real-life application. Wait--scratch that. Cartoons are entertaining. Excluding DragonBallZ. Which, really, you'd think they'd be able to come up with a better title. I mean, think about explaining it to somebody who'd never heard of it...

When I was younger I thought that by rotating my hands together with a small distance apart from each other like forming an invisible ball together with my hands, that eventually I would form some kind of matter or energy if I kept doing it for quite some time, like hours or even a full day. That something is bound to form in this empty space between my hands. Man did I give up on that, but all I think it takes is just a little faith.....which I had alot more of that back then.

I've been doing psiballs for a long time and I noticed that they do nothing. I just get feelings, like a ball of energy in my hands, but whenever I throw it at people in front of me, they don't even move. Either I gotta get a lot better or it's not real

I doubt it's real... and pyrokinesis and all these -kinesis' might be real but geez, it has to be alot more complicated than staring at fire and wanting something to happen, if it were that easy, the world would have bheen destroyed by now, do you know how many stupid teens have tried that crap? Anyways, I go for real magik, such as numerology and sigils.

Why does it have to be harder? Your just making it harder for yourself because Society has told you that.. Magic.. or whatever you want to call this.. is not real.

Humans have become lazy, and we have technology to do everything for us these days.. we no longer need magic.. and christians did a pretty good job of destroying magic when they went on there crusades and witch trials.

they even changed the Runes from the Urthark system, to the false Furthark System...

Comparing to a kids show lame? Well when you think about it its the same basis, creating a ball of energy and releasing it... as with the streetfighter. Its just a way of identifying and explaining something in a way everyone can understand.

You think the people dresssed as DBZ chars are lame? Why cos there being silly and having fun? Not that its something that i would ever do i don't think but all the same they look like they were having a good time, and i am sure they don't give a shit who thinks there lame cos there having fun, and they gave me a chuckle

Never heard of PSI? Its a unit of pressure... also a good pitchshifter album.. not the best tho.

The actual range on PSI balls is quite short tho.. you would have to be standing right infront of the person to do it.. unless you were really really powerful.. but other than people in cartoons, i don't think i know anyone alive who can actually throw out a PSI ball from a distance and hit some one, not in this dimension anyway.

To a certain extent yes with PSI balls it would be theoretically possible to fly, but the amount of energy used would just be way too much, try and lift a Rizla (rolling paper) off the ground... now imagin doing it to something a million times that heavy!

Also you need to balance yourself our, especially if you are rising vertically you need a force infront and behind you aswell to stop you from topling over... and you constantly have to push out the energey, not a one off push hey i'm flying.

If anyone was ever able to fly i think it would completely screw up the weather as well, seeing as the weather is affected by high and low pressure, and you are adding a 3rd dimension of pressure to that.

Trial and Error, Theory and I gotta friend who grew up in Korea and told me about where he learned martial arts and stuff. His teacher was able to do it and did it to him. I doubt he was blagging cos its not like he is some little school kid who feals he has to lie to look cool.

On top of that when i make PSI balls that others can feel, if i move to quickly when taking it to them the energy disapates, which is why i think that you cannot throw one as such.

Get a basin of water and drop a penny into the middle of it... see the ripples? Imagin someone doing that to our already swirling weather pattern. Think how much energy you would be generating to lift yourself. you really think that would have no effect on our weather?

Not alot, really. I mean we weigh about precisely dick in relation to huge thunderstorms, etc.
