Well, I'm not sure... There's always the possibility it's the actual person. You can try searching the beyond dreaming forums for a topic like that, since I'm not an expert >_<
The best answers are always inside yourself though, like finding your dream guide and asking him/her, or finding your uncle in your dreams again and asking him, to see if he's the same person.

I may look like a demon to you, or an average human. It depends on your perception, but I will always be me.

Would it be ok if I found you in a dream? It may take a while but I don't want to just turn up and you not know who I am

If I see you I'll tell you a password (that I have already made up) so even if I don't remember at least I'll know that (when you recall it) you have spoken to me (and not some other member)!!

You have my permission to dream with me. Something you must realize is an experience is much more memorable than a single word. Read the shared dream journal.

No need to apologize. You must know if there is a shared dream with dozens or hundreds of similarities, and people still don't believe, a single password will not be enough to convince cynics. Convincing cynics and "skeptics" is a waste of time and energy.

Ah...yes, I am afraid that you are right.

Although (on reflection) I think what you are doing here, on this forum, is perhaps the best possible way of proving the existance of shared dreaming - by creating a kind of revolution where more and more people can meet at a designated place is a small stroke of genius. In an world which no longer beleives in magic (and has very little spirituality left) what has been started here (I hope) will grow into something irrefutable, something which the world of science will have to stop and re-evaluate everything it thinks it knows about the human mind.

I feel as a race, we are slowly starting to give up - giving up on religion, giving up on the earth and giving up on ourselves. And perhaps the only way to fight this is in our dreams- to give people hope.

Bravo to everybody who has already been to the moon and to all of us who intend to

Here's a thought Nomad - perhaps you could start a new thread regarding shared dreaming suggestions: ideas and tasks to be played out within a shared dream. For example - contacting world leaders to try and resolve problems, mass healing people after a disaster (10 shared dreamers performing a combined healing spell?), traveling forward and back through time looking for specific events or people (if what is written in your jounal is true then time works differently within the dream realm, so perhaps could be manipulated?) it could be anything - and these are just suggestions, which may or may not have any rate of success but is worth trying!

hey everyone, my first post on DV and rather than 'how to WILD' I think this seems an unusual place to start! Very interesting read so far but I join the force of the skeptics on this one - surely if you've described a black tower on the moon in detail I will create a dream world from the architecture you have described? We cannot presume I am sharing your dream, rather I am sharing your dream fiction. Our subconscious is very susceptible to subliminal influence, most of the sensory input we receive throughout our waking lives does not enter our conscious mind...so if I read your dream journal and find out about you and your dreams, surely am I not just creating a dream out of the memory or expectation of what my imagination believes we would share in a dream?

Has anyone confirmed a secret password exchanged in a dream?

I whole heartedly agree with what you are saying. When I read the shared dream adventures of the moon in wakingnomad's journal I expected to read about some vague coincedences about people discovering the place where nomad had previously described, and then some vague description of how they saw one another in the distance. And to my complete astonishment this was indeed not the case! whole conversations are described independantly within seperate journals - and not just conversations, but adventures in different lands and places - read it my friend, it is like reading the same story through different eyes. After I got through the first 4 pages of the journal it was like I found out that santa claus really does exist!! What I find interesting in particular are where the stories do not add up - for example when a particular entity is described in one journal as looking like satan, the other journal describes the entity as looking like yoda! And the shared dreaming does not exist with just two people - many different people are verififying each others dreams within this (shared) journal.

So as far as a password exchange goes, well I'm just being a little fussy! but much much more has been confirmed than just a password!! see you on the moon

haha ok well I'll give the shared journals a good read, with regards to stories not matching well...that does knock the theory a bit...although with the particular character you mentioned I'd still believe in the SD if both dreamers described the same environment but the only difference was satan/yoda...but then perhaps the difference could have been consequence of a difference in vividity.

One thing that really is hard to get my head around is the time zone...I know it's been discussed a few times already in this thread but surely if I have a dream and therefore a physical memory upon waking, and my shared dreamer subsequently dreams the same dream e.g. a year after, surely I have seen into the physical future since the memory of the shared dream would not exist in the other person for another year!?

Hey Nomad - I had a really pathetic attempt at a WILD yesterday, I wasn't fully 'in' (when I tried to look at my hands they were not even there) but I tried shouting your name a few times (the shout came out a little weak though!) did you hear anything?

Hey Nomad - I had a fairly good WILD this morning and I think I may have shared my very first dream with you!! OK, so this is how it went:

I went with the vibration feeling and encouraged it to flow throughout my body, I then rolled backwards and forwards until I rolled onto the floor (I think I may have exited a little too early as things were very fuzzy still and I could not stand!) so I rolled down the stairs, feeling the pain of going head first and so helping the dream solidify. I then took a mouth full of dirt in my mouth and it was pretty disgusting - but enough to completely solidify my dream! So anyway, I flew out of my garden and into a suburban street, I tried walking through walls by running into them a couple of times but failed (hearting my head again!!) and so I decided to call out your name again (reasoning that it was much more likley that you would be able to come and see me than I be able to the moon at this early stage of my development) so I called out 'Nomad... Nomad...NOMAD.....NOMADDDDD'

And then suddenly a portal appeared above my head, a swirling vortex of purple black and dark pink (with a kind of flickering PS2 flat polygon imagery about it) and you came down. This is how I saw you: a medium to large framed guy with long black hair (large volume) of hair with a 'cheeky' kinda smile - I can remember the face pretty well. But the after a while your features started to shift into that of a black guy wearing a white cap backwards (although things were starting to break up at this point) as soon as I saw you I started asking you questions like - 'did you hear me call you?' and you smiled and nodded, but then I asked you some another bunch of questions but your answers were all kind of muffled - it's like you were on another frequency, I kept asking you to speak up but it didn't make any difference, I think there was another person with you also, trying to explain to me that this was the case. And there was also something about you asking me some really obscure questions which could only be answered (explained to me by the guy standing next to you) by me reading all of your past journals (this was illustrated by you holding out a bunch worn stickers which were each brightly coloured)

Overall I found the communication really hard, (but I remember reading in your shared dream journals that this is often the case as two minds try to 'sinc') and part of me wonders if perhaps I summoned up an approximation of what I think you are like projected from my subconscious. Honestly, I feel like what I experienced was a cross between my own dream imagery overlaid on top of a part of you which I really do think I made contact with. Let me know what you think

I have to state my opinion on dream time and shared dreaming.
Dream time is not the same as real time, but order and cause and effect still exist.
Think about this: the dream state is kind of like Narnia. Time flows at a different rate, but never in a different direction. i.e. it could be 2020 tommorow in the moon base, but not 1990. Therefore, you may expect to spend a month at the moon base, but wake up apparently going backwards in time. However, you can do this experiment: find a watch that says the time aloud, and put it beside your bed while you share a dream. Then, see if the intervals you hear increase or decrease. That way, you can determine how to convert dream time into real time. AND IT WILL BE A STRICTLY INCREASING FUNCTION. This means that EACH DREAM TIME OR DATE CORRESPONDS TO EXACTLY ONE REAL DATE OR TIME. Therefore, you cannot meet somebody sleeping in the future or the past in a shared dream.

Edit: I got a bit technical there, but what I mean is that if you do the speaking clock experiment, you won't hear "8:00 UTC" and "16:00 UTC" at the same time, thus you wont meet someone sleeping at 1600 UTC when you sleep at 0800 UTC.
