When i was 3 or 4 i remember lying in my bed waiting to go to sleep. There was a grown up party going on downstairs; just a few people, drinks, nibbles etc. This would have been around late 1969 early 1970. A wizard appears in my bedroom. Midnight blue robes with silver suns & moons & the obligatory Gandalf style hat. Then my bed rises in the air & i'm floating out of the bedroom & out on to the landing & down the stairs. I go into the front room & see the people there. I can remember my aunt sat in one of the chairs smoking. The next experience occured when i was 6 (maybe a bit older, i'm never sure) & simply floated out of my bedroom window in just my little nightie. I then proceeded to do ballet in the street! I knew that if this was a dream it was unlike the ones i'd experienced. It was night & the street lights were on as you'd expect. Everywhere was quiet & nothing looked out of the ordinary or changed like it would in normal dreams. I kept thinking, "Am i dreaming or not, it's all so real yet not real?" I also had another experience which wasn't an OBE or whatever but a very realistic & to me frightening hallucinatory experience. I think i might have been about 5 & it's night-time & I'm too scared to tell you lot right now as i dont want any bad dreams! Suffice to say even the atmosphere of it remains with me to this day. So those are my weird childhood dream experiences. I continued to have vivid and/or weird dreams right through adolescence & early adulthood. I still get them but not so many. I had one trying to get through my bedroom wall not too long ago (i noticed someone else on here tried this but found going through a mirror easier) but partly due to the resistance of the wall & the fact that i was a little apprehensive as to what was waiting for me in there, i felt myself being pulled back into consciousness. |
