Thread: Eye Twitching while in SP

What does it mean when your eye start twitching? I saw brilliant stripes of white flashing around everywhere?

Has anyone experienced these things while in a SP?

You know, I had this happen to me a couple times as well - I'm not really sure what it is. I was going through what really felt like the onset of a WILD, but I felt a little too alert for it to be that. I also remember it being difficult to keep my eyes closed. Eventually I blinked and my eyes opened for just a split second which ruined the experience.

I recall seeing a flash of white, but that was probably just the effect of blinking (or something similar to when you experience a hit to the head or face - that instant flash of white).

Mhmm, sounds like what happened to me, except I tried to relax out of it pay it no mind. I felt myself open my eyes a bit but then I relaxed and they closed once more. The weirdest part about this, (my other post about Dream Sharing, my friend wants to keep it low profile) My friend had it the same day as me, the same hour as me, the same minute as me, the same second as me. His hypnotic hallucination was actually the song I was listening to. He had a cold so while I was going near lucidity I sneezed and so did he. I called him 1 minute afterwards telling him what happened and before I could respond he told me the answer to my question which was, DUDE, guess what just happened? I was so close to lucidity and all of a sudden... and he answered for me, you sneezed. All of a sudden we were freaked and he was like wtf and then we figured out that same night (afraid well lose all the details) that his hypnotic hallucinations (which was a woman singing) was actually the music I was listening to while I slept.

Any clues how this might be? The biggest similarities before we were "connected" was probably the eye twitching part. Any ideas?

Its called Hypnogogic Imagery (sp). HI for short.

Its supposed to happen right before or while in SP. Kinda like your mind making images or something. Its really hard to explain exactly what it is, but i do know its a good thing and it can become pretty fun to watch it.

So basically the dim pictures are HI? And sooner or later does it lead to a LD?

this had happened to me last night aswell
it was so hmm what's the word.. i cant explain it
my eyes were twitching for so long white images were appearing and it was hard to keep my eyes closed.
i don't understand what happened?
i was trying to WILD
and had no luck from it.
I was about an hr into it and my eyes started to twitch and then i could make it go faster or slower i concentrated on it for a wile maybe to cause a lucid dream?
i moved my eyes around to make it go harder and faster.
These white images were weird spiraling flashing going really crazy.
to be honest this entertained me quite fun actually
my body started to twitch more and more and i felt like i was sinking far into my bed and i could control this also i felt like i was being lifted out of my body also controlling this as well.
While doing this i felt something on the back of my head like water? it felt wet but inside weird.
i didnt move still i ignored it and controlled my eyes going crazy.
well i want to know what happened as well i was thinking my brain was trying to form images but im not sure.
