The other night though I woke up to find a large dark figure standing at the foot of my bed. It was very tall, and instead of being the shape of a human it was more of a fog. It had glowing yellow eyes.

I only saw it for a second but it scared the crap out of me!!!!!!

it's possible.... but what was weird is that I woke up completely out of no where and was scared already. Thats when I looked and saw it standing there!

hmm, not sure how to explain the already scared part, but, I have had instances where I just woke up like that. About a week ago, I went to bed early and I just woke ~1.5h later or so as my sister was coming to bed. I was surprised, but, it could have been my autosuggestion working, but, I still didn't remember any dreams There are other times where you are just falling asleep and you get jolted up. In some cases, I end up laughing when that happens. I think I had it happening to me two days back where my leg got jolted just like that

I most commonly see the light bodies..... they are most definitely real, and explainable. They move at the speed of light, which is why most people do not see them. Interesting, how did you find that you are clairvoyant or a medium? Were you born with it as I presume?

that's the weird thing about it. You'll wake up with extreme fear for no reason.

As if that woman being interviewed never heard of the old hag! I didn't really care for all the conclusions she drew from all that, but the two hours of open lines gave a lot of nice shadow people stories

Ive never heard of "light people" sounds interesting, i shall google it oooh i wish i was medium/psychic but then again i dont, having some of my dreams come true was freaky enough plus the fact of knowing what was going to happen before it happened would ruin the surprise but maybe thats just me

well id never heard of "shadow people" untill now but ive got a story..
Back when i was still a small kid i woke up one night to walk over to my moms room and sleep there. I was perfectly awake and have no history of sleepwalking or hallucinating but inside the dark passage to my moms room i saw an even darker figure walking towards me. It was completely black and clearly a humanish shape but the most desturbing part was a whole in its body through which i could see the other side of the house in perfect detail and lit up even though all the lights were off. Needless to say it scared me half to death and it took me years to sleep with the light off again.. I still dont know what i saw but I have always been reletively spiritually advanced so i always thought it was a ghost. maybe shadow people are ghosts. hmmm.. creepy

Interesting story. Are you 100% positive that you were awake? Are you also 100% positive that you weren't dreaming when this happened(FA maybe?)?

I know for sure i was awake because i called for help and my mom came running. unless i was sleepwalking and false waking at the same time haha

I saw one last night I think!!! I was trying to sleep and then this like snapping noise made me opened my eyes and I was like WTF! and when I looked at the wall, for a second, I saw a shadow that looked like a women and I blinked and it was gone. All I know, is that the snapping noise was a moth flying in my room.

P.S I dont know if the moth is still here.

oh I see

It occurs to me that descriptions of the Mothman are strikingly similar to shadow people. A black figure with red eyes.

The shadow people I've seen never glowy eyes, but that does seem to be a common description.

I like Castaneda's theories to explain shadow people.

According to his books, the universe at large is made up of infinite glowy filaments or strings. On the human energy body, there is a fist sized glowy spot on the back, and only a small portion of those filaments pass through that spot. If that glowy spot moves, then different filaments pass through it, creating a different world or reality. When you dream that glowy spot moves around slightly, the greater the displacement, the more bizzare the dream is.

I would guess when you see shadow people, this assemblage point is slightly off from it's habitual position. Those shadow people would have a different position of their assemblage point than ours, thus existing in a different world. I think what happens is after a slight dream shift, you have some filaments from our world, and some from the world of the shadow people. But our assemblage point isn't completely in the position of the shadow people, only partially encompasing only some of thier filament, which is why we only see them as shadows.

This is a fascinating theory. I never thought about it that way.

hmm, being forced/grabbed out, but what do the entities do after that happens?

When speaking of an OBE, it has been said that they guide you through the transitional phase of the process. I wouldn't know what happens after that, I've never gotten that far.

i have definitely seen shadow people. i didnt know there was actually a name for them. i just referred to them as evil spirits. my first encounter with them was while i was taking this cough medicine that made me really sleepy. i remember just having a really odd feeling and i went out side to play basketball and after i shot a few i looked down and there was this whispy black personage a couple feet away from me. i was scared out of my mind, and i remember seeing a few more throughout the time i used that medicine. i stopped using it.
i have had two other experiences where i have seen them. and it always started the same way. i just had an awful feeling like someone was in the house, something evil, and i see these shadow creatures.
its comforting im not the only one seeing these things.

Go to your User CP on the blue bar and then go to edit signature and write it there. Then save when you are done and it should add it

arg! i see these damn things all the time! they are usually in my woods or near my house but there are one or two of them that follow along side the damn school bus. what i can't figure out is why the hell they follow me to school. i try talking to the ones in my woods sometimes but only one ever paid any mind and it didn't make any sound or response. it just stared at me and then i blinked and it slid behind a tree and was gone.(couldn't see its eyes it just felt like it was looking at me.) i only sometimes get a malevolent feeling from them but most of the time they're just there. lol i feel crazy talking to shadows.

apparently not only I but also my mom has had experience with a kind of shadow people. When I was in 7th and 8th grade there were a lot of times where I would think I saw a shadowy figure out of the corner of my eye, but here is the strange part, when I would look it wouldn't be an immediate disappearance, I would see the flick of the end of cloak as if someone with a big cloak on just ran behind something, naturally when I would go to look there would be no one there. I never had these experiences while half asleep, they would always be in the afternoon in broad daylight.

I told my mom about this and the story she told me literally made me shiver. She told me that the day before her grandmas death she looked at my mom and said, "they are here for me" and pointed out the window, when my mom looked out the window there were what looked like many figures all in black hoods and cloaks outside the window...and they were not on the bottom floor. they faded away when the nurse came in to take her grandma out of the room.

after my mom told me this story my experiences stopped almost immediately and I have not had them since...but it has always nagged at me somewhere years later why these figures would be around both when I was young and at a death...
