Wow, thanks for sharing ! |

Thank you for reading my story. I have a lot more out of body experiences but this one was the most exciting one. The other ones I experienced lasted only a few minutes if not seconds. They are always so hard to move around and everything is dark. I would run down the hallway as fast as I could and then be exhausted and just float down to the floor. They always start off with sleep paralysis. Sometimes I would exit my body and proceed to the door and then get sucked back into my body, I would try two or three times and get sucked back in, then I would just give up and go to sleep. |
|
Wow, thats a truly incredible experience! |
|
I don’t consider myself an expert at it just comes to me spontaneously. The first thing I try to do when I wake up in sleep paralysis is to stay calm. Don’t panic just relax your body. If you feel vibrations throughout your body you are ready to separate. Most of the times I don’t feel any vibrations. I just simply sit up out of my bed, sometimes it works. Or you can try to roll out onto the floor. You can try what I did and close your eyes, and pretend that you are weightless and floating upwards and see what happens. Once you do separate try not to get too excited, because you might get sucked back into your body. Try those techniques out and tell me what happens. |
|
I had a similar experience. I would keep getting sucked back into my body. I felt like I was being pulled. It is probably the coolest thing that has happened to me and it does feel different from a lucid dream. |

Float
It Worked!! Last night I had my first truly successful WILD and it started with what I think was an OoB! Full details in my dream journal. It was freakin awesome!! |

I spend 15 minutes or so in darkness with music on, something like Chillout Sessions, then i turn it off and think of being lucid and repeating lucidity mantras (i will become lucid, i will realise im dreaming) for a while. Then i try to blank my mind as much as possible and focus on the hallucinations as i fall asleep, sometimes i tell myself that my mind is asleep and that my body needs to follow suit. Eventually SP comes over me if i keep my mind blank yet awake long enough. Then the images take over and i try to watch them like a movie, soon enough they take my senses one by one until im lucid. Then its just a matter of sitting up in my dream, although last night i jerked into it as youd have read which was a tad odd but it worked. |

Thanks for raining down on my parade. Do you know what false awakening is? It’s when someone thinks they woke up and went about their day not knowing their sleeping. I knew my body was sleeping and my mind was awake except for the second time I went back into my body. I had a lot of vivid lucid dreams, I know what they feel like. Lucid dreams didn’t even compare to this experience I had. I don’t really care if you don’t believe me its my experience not yours. Until you had what I had then you can talk about the differences. |
|
Yes, I know what an FA is. It just appears to me that you don't, from what you wrote. |
|
I don’t know what you are trying to get at? Did I say in my post that I didn’t know what was happening to me? My title even says out of body experience. I even said in my posts that I was trying to have an induced out of body experience. That means I was trying to have an out of body experience while in a awaken state. I knew what was happening the whole time. Yes I am offended, I don’t know how you can make assumptions to my experience if you weren’t even there with me. |

Firstly, let me preface this by saying that I do not reject the idea that OBE's may be real. However, it does not sound to me like you had one. I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, just hear me out. |

Hi MrWeiner, I respect your reply. |

Nice OBE. To be truthful, I would love to have one but my fear is holding me back big time. Weren't you spooked and worried when you saw that person in your living room? I mean it might/could have done something to you |

I have never had this experience since then. At the time when I got out, I wasn’t scared or had any negative feelings, like I was at peace. |
|
Today I laid down to have a nap at 1:20 PM. This was close to a OBE but it turned out to be a lucid dream. |
|
In LD, since, its all in your head or at least that's what I currently believe, I wouldn't have a problem facing some threat but when in an OBE, I always fear that I'll get out only to see some entity waiting for me. My guess is that the fear is what causes them to be there if they can indeed sense negativity. I think to me its more of the shock of seeing an entity or being attacked by one(I've never been in a fight before). I do plan to try to induce an OBE tonight though, because, I just feel like I'm in the right mindset, but, I'm a bit short on techniques. Last one I tried was WILDing(it was for a LD) and I remember feeling heaviness, numbness, etc.... and then my left hand kind of floating. Since I didn't want an OBE back then(3 weeks ago), I decided to snap out before I get one. Going back 2-3 years, I remember relaxing every part of my body by tensing each and then relaxing followed by just concentrating on breathing and maybe doing a counting, so, breath out for 6 and in for 3, etc.... What method do you use to induce OBEs? |

Everyone is different so the techniques could work on some people more than others. Like me I was trying different techniques for about a month. I lay there and count and try to forget about my body but I was having a hard time. I tried the one you’re talking about, telling my limbs to sleep starting with the feet. I was get pretty close, I felt tingling and heavy but then I would mess it up and get excited. Plus it didn’t help that my daughter doesn’t like to sleep in her own bed so every time when she moves it messes me up. |
|
I am curious, for your SP, what do you experience? I was experiencing mostly heaviness, some numbness and less of my body, but, no vibrations. I got very strong vibrations 2-3 years back when I first tried to OBE, but, I just can't seem to get them this time around. Is there something wrong? As I recall, the vibrations were strong enough to even shake the bed which didn't really surprise me back then, since, I knew that I will have vibrations, but, didn't know their magnitude |
