      Deja Vu

I'm new here, and not bothering with an introduction. So deja vu, who gets it, what's it like, what do you make of it?

I fairly regularly have bizarre feelings of deja vu. Usually it's triggered by an image, as if everything in view in one particular instant was a photograph I'd seen a long time ago. This can't be dismissed as doing something I'd already done and therefore having a feeling of deja vu, in several cases it would be impossible, not to mention the detail and immediate emotional reaction of it.

The question for me is more so what to make of these deja vu situations, as they seem to have no practical value. I have a feeling that if interpreted in context they can be read like dreams. A reoccurring theme for me at least would be predictability either socially, behaviorally, or emotionally.

So lets have it DV who's got a story.

      I get it. Alot.

Just not long ago, I had a double deja vu.

I was playing team fortress 2, and came around a corner.
Then I had the deja vu, one of those where you feel like you can just about tell what is going to happen. But that's not all, that itself was also a deja vu. So I felt like, I've been here before, thinking I've been here before, where I also thought I had been here before!

      It lasted like, 4 seconds.
That was an insane deja vu. But I do get them alot, and it's mainly just wierd things. Like someone reaching out for a pot or a pan can make me deja vu. It's strange.

Oh, and I got critrocketed. :l

props for TF2, but yeah that is intresting I've never had anything like that before. I did have this Deja vu a few months ago that I had a really strong reaction to. I was in english class, and we were just sort of bullshiting for the remaning few minutes. So the Prof is kind of a film buff, and he asks us to write down our top 5 movies of all time, and the reason why we liked the one we put for number one. No one was going to read the later. So I start writing, and when I'm writing about why the number one movie is number one, I get kinda personal about it, you know making sure no one is watching me write, and gettting a little embaresed that sort of thing. So when it comes time to read the lists, he gets to me and I read it, no one had heard of my #1 movie, which I expected because it's pretty obscure.

So he moves down the line, when he gets to the last guy he reads his list, and when he gets to number one, he says "Surf Ninjas", when then he makes some joke, and everybody starts up laughing. Right then some Deja Vu hits me like a ton of bricks, not the exact details, but the same kid talking, the teachers reaction the slow waves of laughter, I'd seen it all before. Something about the whole situation made it really unsettiling, and was freaking out in my head for a few seconds without knowing why before I could get a hold of myself, I'm still not totaly sure what to make of it.

I get it all the time. I dream about it then it happens. I had a dream that had me standing next to a like giant net type thing with a family friend on a field trip. People were on the net with helmets and he said something that I couldn't understand and started to laugh. And a year after the dream, I was on that field trip and it happened exactly. Turned out he said that he said his kid should be on a short bus because of the helmet he wearing in the center in the net. Weird. huh?

Nosferatu, almost the same thing happened to me a long time ago. i remember it as if it were yesterday. i stood in front of a class and presented a project i did, as i was reading what i wrote suddenly i had the strongest feeling that this happened before in the exact same way. it freaked me out to say the least, because it took me about 10-20 seconds to read it, and the whole time i had that intense feeling. somehow i kept my cool though, and hopefully no one noticed.

I had it once. It was strange... I mean I was playing BF:Bad Company (PS3) multiplayer demo. I just went over a hill, and realised I did this before, that I knew that 2 guys would come in front of me, and one behind me.

      And that did happened!

Deja Vu is when you remember just for a second seeing this before, because this "reality" you see in front of you isnt even really there. I'm sorry t tell you that your mother, father, brother, sisters, everyone you've ever known dosen't rally exist at all, except as an illusion created in The mind of One, last, forsaken god sitting alone in the dark deluding himself with visions of a big blue planet full of people trying to scramble on top of one another. This cannot be fully explained, as the finite mind cannot grasp the infinite. But take it from me, the best thing to do when you experience deja vu is just try to forget about it and go on living your life.

P.S. eat a bunch of mushrooms, lay down, and try to understand that nothing is real, nothing matters, everything you've ever known is fake. 6 hours later you will know exactly what I'm talking about.

P.S.S. actualy don't do that unless you're not worried about going a little bit insane for a little while.

Let us know when you come down off those mushrooms.

I've experienced deja vu a few times. Most notably in Japan, Sioux City, and boot camp I got a strange feeling that I had been to all those places before. It was like I had experienced a similar event at all those place, but I couldn't figure out why I would feel that. It was just a flash, and it always threw me off. Pretty surprising.
