Nightstalkers, I'm calling you out.

Actually, I'm not, because I don't believe in "Nightstalkers", "Dreamwalkers", or any of these other "fantasy hopefuls", as I call them. Either way, I don't discount the theory, and as a part of a personal test to find out whether this stuff is true or not, I'd like all so-called Nightstalkers to do their worst to me. Every night. Give me Hell, lay it on me. If I can't take it anymore, I'll repost in this thread asking for a cease-fire or some help from Dreamwalkers, or something.

I realize this forum is not for non-believers, but because I am a potential believer, and because this topic does not seem to fit anywhere else, I felt I should post it here. I won't post my results if asked not to, and I won't debate anyone on anything about the subject. I just want to try and experience it, to see if it's actually genuine.

Personally, while I think it's completely possible (and even probable) to mutual dream, I'm in the same boat as you with this night stalker crap.

It sounds like something a bunch of teenagers made up to make themselves sound cool. A good majority of the people who claim to do it probably can't even lucid dream regularly. :doh:

IF they are telling the truth, what you have is a bunch of people who are simply adept at mutual dreaming. They just happen to categorize themselves as good, evil, or neutral like it's a stupid D&D game, despite the fact that we are ALL human beings, and thus none of us really fit into any of those categories.

The second thing I'd bring up is the fact that in my experience you really can't get inside someone's dream just by a post in a forum. You usually need to have met them, or at LEAST have a picture or voice to go on. In my experience, though, mutual dreams occur almost exclusively between people who have a very strong emotional and/or spiritual bond.

Can I mutual dream? Yes, in theory (still working on getting better circumstantial proof; it's difficult finding a skilled partner). Do I label myself with something that sounds like it's from a bad fantasy movie? Hell no. :wtf:

Yeah, we're pretty much in the same boat, except I'm not sure if mutual dreaming is even possible, yet. I think it is, though. I've definitely had some weird experiences that it could account for.

Either way, I slept like a baby last night. No troubles here.

Meh. Writing this thread affects it.

If you got a dream of simply hell. People torturing you and whatnot, would you believe someone entered your dream? I would just think placebo.

I think more than "attack me!" is needed to prove them.
And it's not like it matters anyways. Their there, in peoples dreams.

What about an interview with one of them? That would do.

There is a distinct difference between a regular dream and a NS "attack". I learned a great deal about the nature of dreaming from my NS encounters, and the more I think about it, I may owe them an apology for taking things too far. Their purpose may not actually be to attack people, but to teach through demonstration.

It boils down to this.

1. Everything in your dreams requires your attention to exist.

2. The more attention you give to one element, the more detail it creates in relation to what you are focused on.

NS have a mastery of these concepts that are beautiful to see in action. There is nothing they can do to you directly, but they can shape what you dream about by directing your attention, and they do it very well. This is very different from normal DC behavior, because DCs behave in response to those rules (as well as strong emotions).

For NS, manipulating your attention is more important than actually attacking, and that's how you can tell it's no ordinary DC.

Surrrrrrrrrrrrrre, Cusp. Look send all these "dreamstalker, helper" people my way. I needs it badly.

I honestly don't see how anyone would be able to tell the difference between a so-called "dreamstalker" or whatever (which based on the posts I've seen around here seems to be some force outside the dreamer) and something that is merely a part of the dreamer's own unconscious. Does anyone ever consider that these "outside forces" (apologies if I'm misunderstanding, since I don't follow most of this stuff, but that's the impression I got) are just parts of our own psyches which we aren't even aware of? If it's in the unconscious, we're not aware of it, hence it seems to come from "outside." There are some parts of ourselves that we simply aren't able to know until we confront them, sometimes in a startling manner, like a "dreamstalker" in a dream.

Unless some actual person in the waking world calls you up or mails you to tell you personal information they can't possibly have by ANY means, or to tell you what you dreamed last night when you haven't told anyone yet, it just sounds like all this is the dreamer's own mind at work. I don't discount the possibility of this dreamstalker stuff happening, but most of it sounds like people granting their own unconscious mind a power it doesn't have.

Has anyone ever considered that so-called nightstalkers and dreamwalkers could just be parts of your own subconscience? I mean, I don't entirely rule them out, just because I like to keep an open mind, but this all seems a little far fetched.

Subconcience? I don't think so... since most of people that believe in it got info they didn't knew from the other who got to share the dream with them <.< Anyway... I would like to see if someone has that of a large range too.

I dont think there's any way that you can actually prove that someone is dream sharing with you unless you can talk to them personally afterwards. I don't think posting this, then having a nightmare and thinking "omg, it must have been a night stalker :shock:" is going to give you any sort of stable conclusion.

But it would be fun, especially if its a nightmare, and that would be extremly common for me <.< They would need to do a "good" dream for me to notice something weird.
