Hi everyone! Last night I dreamt with a person I usually see at work, but never had the change to talk with.. Well, last night I could see her dealing with a problem with her boyfriend.. There were also 2 children involved and another woman. I really cannot recall all the dream, but the last part included a kind of “advise” that I gave her about the other woman.. something like she had the answer to the problem. Today I talk to her.. I tell her my dream.. and she is having a big problem with her boyfriend, there are two children involved and also another woman. How is this possible? She is not surprised about my dream.. she says she believes in this stuff.. I am surprised, although.. and scared (a bit).. How is this possible? Thanks!

My personal opinion is that this is nothing but sheer coincidence, but there are a ton of people who believe in premonitions like these and whatnot. In any case, it's hardly anything to be scared about. Chances are, this will never happen again.

When someone is going through something particularly powerful on an emotional or spiritual level, they put out a lot of energy. Those who are sensitive to this or who have a special connection to that person for some reason will often pick up on this energy. We see it every day with close friends, spouses, and family members. Haven't you ever looked at someone close to you and, without them saying anything at all, just 'known' something wasn't right? We see this in their body language, in their tone of voice in a thousand different ways we can't even categorize. Part of that recognition is on an energy or spiritual level. The Dreamtime is especially conducive to this broadcasting and those who are borderline sensitive will most likely receive this energy at that time as well. I have experienced this several times with family and close friends. I once had a dream about a close friend of mine. In the dream she was very angry about something or someone. I could tell that she was spiraling into an emotional "tizzy fit" if you will. In the dream she couldn't see me or acknowledge me, but I was able to put my hands on her shoulders and help calm her down. Turns out on that same night she was having a dream about her Spiritual Teacher with whom she was having some serious issues. She acknowledged that during the dream she was getting angrier and angrier and that at some point, she just had the feeling that everything was going to be alright. Personally, I don't believe in coincidence. I think everything happens for a reason. We may not understand the reason, but it doesn't mean it's not a part of a bigger plan.
