Kaniaz is searching for 100% proof of every single thing here on Earth. If a scientist hasnt proven it..he doenst beleive it...I told him to try and keep a more open mind. Yes it is good to constantly question things...but there is a more open way of doing so! :D
That's a very flawed analogy. First of all, he could easily demonstrate that he is a great tennis player. The fact that he doesn't make a perfect serve every time only demonstrates that he is not a "perfect" tennis player, which no one was contending in the first place.Quote:

So yes, agreed, perfection is not a prerequisite of having any ability whatsoever and being able to demonstrate it

Then let me rephrase their logic as 'Andre Agassi is not able to intentionally perform a perfect serve - this is deduced from the fact that he cannot consistently (100% reproducible) produce a perfect serve'
And this is an illogical statement of course
The real reason for the lack of contention in Andre Agassi's ability is purely one of reason - there is no reason to believe that Andre could not have learnt this ability. However there is great contention in doing TK.
That's to be expected of course, but completely writing off the possibility is not sensible in my opinion.
It is not possible to disprove something that does not exist - so why are scientists so aggressively arguing it if they believe it to be BS?
Why not just ignore it? Go on with their lives - find better things to do? Why the anger?
Because they feel it is an insult to modern science. Where I feel it is simply something that needs building into our scientific understanding (eventually).
I really don't know what anger you're talking about. I've never met a scientist or read an article from a respected source that expressed anger at paranormal phenomena. All you "TKers" talk the talk, but not one of you can walk the walk.Quote:

There is no argument, just a complete lack of evidence and credibility on your side. The US government worked for years during the Cold War with supposed psychics, remote viewers and whoever else claimed to have "paranormal powers" that could aid America. After all those years of study, the psychics did no better in their predictions than the laws of probability say that they should've. Not one shred of evidence of their claims was produced, and you can't claim bias is this case, they were desperately trying and hoping that these individuals could help.
If there is any anger that you speak of, it probably arises from the continous and annoying claims from such individuals coupled with the refusal to submit to testing and constant excuse making. If you can predict the future, see murders before they happen or control the phsyical with your mind, then get off your lazy asses and start helping people. If what you claim is true, then it is truly a priveledge that you have been given. To quote a famous uncle, "with great power comes great responsibility," so how about you do some good with your lives instead of arguing with assholes like me on posting forums?
EDIT: The post I made explaining that I had recently performed telekinesis was just my buddy goofing around. Sorry 'bout the confusion. But I find it funny how you jumped to the defense of the explanations and claims that he pulled out of his ass.
I'm talking from personal experience of an excessive amount of beligerence on the part of self-professed scientists. One of which is a science author with 45 years of astronomy club membership :PQuote:
