Don't make something trying to show that something eles is fake, telekinesis has been around for ever, since the beginning of earth, and there is plenty of proof showing that it is real. Lucid Dreaming used to be thought as a "Special Ability" and a myth, but look at it now. Astral Projection is getting closer and closer to being proven to the rest of the earth. Most things start out as myths, like many animals were thought as "monsters" or "demons" but now are regular animals being studied. Why do you want to make people believe that something real is'nt?

I just really don't get why all these people think that peebrain and wer are lieing about doing this stuff. They say they do it and they have absolutely no reason to lie about it and have proof that it's them. Why would so many people make up so much and write big long articles if they knew it was just crap?

This is a theory I've been keeping hold of for a while and occasionaly exposing, and it originated a while ago. I've sat on it and, just for the hell of it, and the benefit of education, I'll tell you it.

We are in, what I assume, is a infinite universe. That means that a VERY, VERY small amount of people care about our lives. We try and make ourselves feel important by...well, we just delude ourselves that we are. When we die, only 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% knows (fictional number, probably alot more zeros, I'm sure :P), and we make no real important mark on the world. Sure, maybe if we blew up Earth, who cares? There's a gazillion other planets out there, and nobody really cares what you did.

So, we have religion to comfort ourselves with perhaps, an afterlife and a etherworldy being who does care very much about us, and it matters because he/she/it tends to be extremely important (such as the creator of the universe, which you'll agree is a pretty important role indeed).

I'm sure you'd argue with me about that, but it's just a funny little sliver of thought I've had floating about for a while.

And finally, psyhic stuff. We want to feel more important to some degree by moving things with our mind and basically doing new cool things that make us feel important. Once again, I'm sure you'll argue with me on this, but it is just a thought, nothing I really solidly believe in. Argue with it if you want, I won't be backing it up...

First sentence: Well? Let's see it!
Second sentence: Lucid dreaming, which takes place completely within the mind (where anything is possible), isn't really comparable with mind powers which supposedly have an effect on the physical world (where there are clearly limits to human abilities).
Third sentence: When did I say that? I don't want to make people (especially myself) believe that something that's real isn't real, and vise versa. But since I'm a curious person, all I'm asking for is a little proof/evidence/whatever, since I have the right to be skeptical about things that don't seem to have a scientific explaination, and anything that truly exist is provable. Would you immediately believe me if I told you I could control the weather, or something like that without me providing any proof? I hope not....

If any of you have any actual proof, other than your own word (which is obviously biased), then please post it. Until then, I remain a believer that such psi-abilities are a product of our minds (but that doesn't mean I'm not searching for a way to prove myself wrong). If this is actually real, I'd like some proof, but I am yet to find any.

Well it's decided. I'm going out and i'm going to become really advanced in my electrokinesis and then i'll make a stop in a metropolis near you and reek havoc upon some poor little city just to prove to you that psi powers are real.

I'm sacrificing my sanity lately trying to perform telekinesis only BECAUSE I have a camera and if I get the mind power working I WILL prove it with many many videos of it from every angle...I'm not doubtful because there is evidence, however remote-seeming, and I'd be overjoyed if it was possible...I'm not really losing anything (except my mind yadda yadda ;) )

I finaly succeeded at simple telekinesis (for example, spinning a psi-weel). I'll be posting a video when I get my camera to work :P .

Sorry the video is taking so long! I can't take a video with it, its one of those digital cameras, and it is supposed to a have a video recorder with it, but I can't get to work :-P. If anyone can privide me with some help with this, PM me.

I have been focusing on mind minipulation and jing, so my tk has been lacking, but I can still get it on tape!

I think i might actually try that sunrisokinesis thing, it sounds awesome! It sounds just like when the sun comes up and... hey waita minute.... that IS the sun... bummer :shakehead2:

I wouldn't bother, there's already quite a few videos around the internet. If people dont believe them then there isnt a chance of believing yours (no offence)

You cannot prove telekinesis to anybody with a video. I always knew this, but recently dealing with a known sceptic has left me realising the extent of this fact.
Some people will be convinced with a demonstration - and some require that they experience it for themselves

Well, in my experience the videos I have seen demonstrating such "powers" have both been shot with pretty low quality, one angle and basically it isn't enough to convince me, or any scientist with a brain. You cannot draw conclusions from videos that are overall pretty crappy as far as a fair test goes. If there was a nice, clear video shown to me, with several angles shown and a bit more than just, say, a bit of paper floating about (that isn't proof for anything), I'd be more inclined to believe what I'm seeing.

I won't ever believe something as radical as psyhic powers from one video, no matter how good it is, because that will always fall short of some respected scientists doing the job and verifying it officialy and whatnot. If that's too much of a problem for you to do, that's too bad. When you claim that you can do something that no science has ever covered before, you need to get it proven thoroughly and to an top-notch standard. Home-made movies won't cut it.

But what they will do is show to some extent that something is going on there, and you aren't lying outright about the whole thing. And it gives us all something to talk about.

I didn't mention that, I guess. I'd be more inclined if videos had more angles and whatever, but there will always be a question, yes. But that is to be expected when you're doing ground-breaking things. They show more of a talking point and an intrest, but until proper scientists goes to do the job, see if it's real etc, no proof can come from those videos. Once again, Randi would be a nice person.

No, no video will do it. Some proper people have got to go there, set up an great envirroment for it, and let you go. You can employ any \"scientist\" for $25 and get them to say it's real, which is why you need proper ones.

And to people in general - not really Placebo, he is good about this - when you claim to have an new thing unproven by science, no matter what you do, people will be skeptic. There are people that like to sit and rant about how science can't prove it because of something or other, or that everybody is close minded, etc etc. But every good idea was always met with skepticism in the first place. For example, Leuewhenhok (sp) and his microscopes. People thought "BULLSHIT" at the time, but now it's all proven to be there. He didn't sit down and rant about how people aren't immediately agreeing to their radical claim (who would), he went out and did his job, made nice catalouges of what he saw and harassed scientists until they came along and ended up proving it. I think the same should be done here, with relative ease... The world is more open minded than previous times. If you went back in time and told them about psyhic powers then, you'd probably get hung for witchcraft or something.

Yep, I have no problem with scepticism - that's normal and natural.
But when scientists are just plain arseholes about it, eg calling me unobjective because I'm a TKer. And tell me that I need to test my ability for myself, and then claim that any test I do will be 'pointless' (because I'm unobjective)
... then I begin to question who are the objective ones
They go on and on about black and white 'you can either do it or you can't' sort of stuff (indicating that any failures show it to be false)
