I have actually managed to do this before. However, I can only do it when I am feeling light-headed or like I am going to faint. I wouldn't reccommend trying it. |

Dont know if this has been addressed or not, or if it even belongs here. I have been curious about Lucid Meditation for a long time, yet have never been able to find real info on it. Basically what I am talking about is having a Lucid Dream while Meditating, being awake and aware of making yourself go into a lucid state of mind. Having the control and everything you could have in a Lucid Dream, but being awake and inducing it through meditation. If this type of thing is possible, whats it called, and how is it practiced? Also if learned, would it be bad to do it everyday, as well as inducing Lucid Dreaming? Sorry for all the questions about something that might not even be possible, but if it is possible, atleast all the questions are already there. Thanks guys/gals. |

Well Ive gotten pretty deep into different types of meditation, found this one place that basically makes it so that its just your own type of meditation. Not one where you have to follow values, or religion, or philosophy to enjoy the full benefits of the meditation. And Ive been practicing meditating, and even though I have just started really practicing it, I started to see something the other day, but it wasnt clear and I figured it wasnt anything special, so I let it go, considered it a distraction since I didnt know how to explore it or anything. |
|
Know it doesnt have to do with meditation, but Ive heard there are a few herbs that will cause hallucinations without causing damage to the brain. I know there is DMT, which from what I hear will make you have some extremely wicked lucid visions and youre able to remember what you see, and explore a universe. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried any herbs and had success with it? Or is that something that isnt practiced here? |

We don't really talk about hallucinogenics here anymore, due to forum policy. Just because it tends to go from experiences to endorsement, which is bad. |

From my experience, I find that deep meditation, trance induction, and WILD are all pretty much the same thing. The same techniques you use to WILD can be used without REM to enter into a deep trance state. If you have ever tried to WILD when first going to bed, or during a nap when your body just would not enter REM, you know what I mean. |

"The second meditation is where I acknowledge my surroundings, set them aside, and focus on consciousness. I suggest this type for you, as it yields insightful results. Not necessarily visions, but thoughts (if you want visions, go try lucid hypnogogia)." |

I actually tried lucid meditation once, and it was much easier than doing it while awake. WHile awake, it's hard to concentrate and keep the mind from wandering. In my lucid meditation, there was a wind that would grow stronger the deeper I went into a meditative state. So I had instant feedback to what I was doing. Plus I could put my thought aside and just concentrate on the wind. |

What about meditating once in a lucid dream? |

Meditation is lucid by its definition. |

I think dreaming and meditation are very close to being the same thing. meditation is just more focused. I meditate a lot in my lucid dreams. Its much easier than going from awake to meditation. although wilds are much the same thing. If you have not tried a wild then give it a try. It is hard at first but very rewarding. I'm currently trying to access the akashic records in my dream/meditations. |
