      My Peculiar Aura

I'll start off by saying that I have no intention of boasting or whatever... I'm just truly confused and need some clarification.

It started several years ago, after I was able to "feel" my third eye to the point that it was indisputable, when I started hanging around people with more like my "energy" beliefs. This was all random or whatever, I didn't go to people and say, "Hey, you believe in energy, want to be my friend?" Anyways...

So I met a few genuine psychics. Genuine psychics are funny, peculiar people, in that they never tell anyone that they are psychic. Telling people you are psychic detracts from the credibility of the statement... as you can probably gather. All three of these certain ones told me on separate occasions what they saw my aura as, and they all didn't know each other...

They described it as a bright, shining beam of white light that seemed to penetrate them if they looked. Two of the three got scared when they saw this, saying, "That is such a rare color... there must be something wrong with you..." The other one just was highly intrigued, wanting to know exactly why I had that aura.

After a few months to a year, I started energy work, where I'd try and consciously manipulate my energy. I would have someone sit down and close their eyes. Then I would put my fingers about an inch away from the center of their forehead and send energy to that point.

Every single person (out of 3 or 4) said that they saw a brilliant white light shining through their forehead. Most didn't like it, they said it felt invasive, but one actually accepted it and said that when he opened his eyes, he felt better, more energetic, and he said that he somehow had this understanding that he couldn't explain or put into words.

      Now... any thoughts?

I am not sure on the whole Aura thing, but there is a shop here in Brighton which claims to be able to photograph you Aura. My friend is getting it done, and I think I will look at hers, then decide if I want to try

I'm sorry, but i truly belive all ability to see aura can be explained scientifically. But i won't get into that.

I knew this lady who said she could see auras. But later, that was proved to be false; instead, she just "read" people, she was good at that -- not seeing auras. I won't get into this; she was a horrible woman.

But she had read a lot of books on stuff like that, and what she explained to me...eh...was that people with bright white and radiant auras were either terminally sick or going to die soon; their white aura was a representation of a new, higher state of life. I hope that's not it in your case. But i don't know anything about auras, and that woman was an extreme fake. She even claimed she saw the devil: she saw a man once with no aura, and he looked straight at her with pure black eyes and spoke inside her head saying, "i know what you're trying to do." I didn't believe that the second i heard it.

I wish you luck on this!

Well... the reason I was so apt to believe that it was true (that they were getting a glimpse of "something) was because they all agreed perfectly, even without meeting each other or me giving any hints or cues.

4 out of 4 random people saying that my aura is white is a good indication that they were true... let me break it down how I see it in my head:

Let's just say, at the minimum, that we have 7 different colors that an aura can be.

      1st person's chance to guess white: 1 in 7
2nd person's chance to guess the same (white again): 1 in 49
      3rd (white yet again): 1 in 343
      4th (and another white): 1 in 2401

So... think about it... it is 99.95% certain that my aura is genuinely white (or that they all based a genuine decision that I was white on preconceived behavior patterns that they all seemed to miraculously agree on).

With that all said, that is why I don't believe that it was just chance. You can go ahead and debate whether or not 4 random people actually told me that, but you can't debate the math. I'm either lying about everything, or my aura is white. This same mathematical procedure that I used is the same for calculating the chance of rolling a 6 on a die 4 times in a row... it ends up being almost the same chance.

Now, I'm not trying to be hostile. You stated your opinion that auras can't be read with politeness and reserve. If any of the above came off as blunt, then I apologize... I'm only trying to illustrate the rarity of my situation.

About me about to die... I really hope this isn't the meaning of that color. I don't have anything wrong with me that I can tell, and I do have a clean bill of health since my last checkup.

Surely the fact that their stories all collaborated can be explained by the idea that they are merely people who are very good at 'reading people', as b12 says. They all saw that you were the sort of person who would readily accept that his aura was white, the sort of person that would want a rare type of aura.

I'm very skeptical, but I'd like to hear more.

Well... there are many different "special" auras, like b12 has said. The chances are still the same though, no matter if they "saw something" or not. I also mentioned something to the effect that I didn't give them any cues... let me explain. Oh, and there were actually six people who all said it was white, now that I remember the last couple:

      1st reading:
I had just come with a friend back to hi other friend's apartment... and there was his mom sitting on the couch. When I walked through the door, she just started staring at me, with a look of horror. She says, "Your aura is a blinding white light... I don't think that is good. You should change something about yourself soon..." She qualified her concern by saying that the reason she was so worried was because she's never seen one that was white before. I dismissed it.

      2nd:
There was this one girl that liked me, and we would talk for hours. For some reason I could talk for hours... and then the topics changed to the paranormal. Come to find out, she was as interested as I was in the paranormal, and she told me what she saw was my aura: white. She said that it meant that I was pure, adept at manipulating energy, and had a high spiritual connection. Basically, she wanted to date me just for that... but I wasn't interested. She said that she's never seen anyone that was white, and that I was a very unique person.

      3rd & 4th:
I met my best-friend for the first time like 2 or so years ago... never knew him before. Before long though, we were hanging out all the time. I never knew that he was into the paranormal until one day we were just sitting and talking, when the topic of my aura came up. He said that it was a shinning, brilliant white... like a spotlight, which radiated and bathed all around me. He thought it was odd... saying that he's never actually seen one that was white in his whole life. He was so intrigued that he brought his brother out, which also inherited his psychic traits, and asked him, without any hints, to see my aura. He said the same thing.
We've since become quite good friends, and he says that he still hasn't seen one like it, and he doubts he ever will.

      5th:
Someone found out that I knew how to control energy, and wanted me to show them. I accepted after finding out that he was genuinely interested, and not just trying to make fun. I told him to sit, and close his eyes. I sent my energy to the tips of my fingers, and out to his forehead. He immediately twitched and said, "Oh, that's weird!" He started getting uncomfortable after a few seconds, to the point where he opened his eyes and leaned far back. He said that he immediately saw a white light shining through into his forehead, and it slowly started actually getting in. He said he liked the feeling, but it was just so new and weird, that he had to pull away.

      6th:
Did the same thing as the 5th, with equal and identical results... except this guy said he didn't like the feeling. He said it felt "invading," and "foreign."

      ...

So... you'd have to say, the last two really are the clinchers. I had manipulated my aura, and sent it to somebody's third eye who wasn't even a proposed "psychic," and they still saw my white color. I would consider this strong anecdotal evidence.

Oh no, not at all -- i think it's pretty great 4 different people identified the same aura. I myself believe auras are sceintifically explained, but that doesn't mean that's necessarily true.

And as for 4 people knowing you'd like a special aura...then why pick white? Sure, white is a great color for an aura, but there's so many other colors that could be "special."

I'd say truly there's something else here at work. I looked into a couple aura things online, and it basically said it's electromagnetic energy, etc etc, it can be seen when your eyes are trained to see past the normal vision experienced by humans. In fact, this website i viewed gave a GREAT explanation tied to science that i'm pretty apt to believe:

      http://thiaoouba.com/seeau.htm

They state there's nothing paranormal in the world; belief is not enough, you need justified knowledge. Also in that website, a white aura represents something pure and angelic. I hope that's it, not the other thing!

So basically what i'm saying is...i have no idea!

      ahem
i remember i've been told, some years ago, about having a white aura
they told me it simply means something as "unqualified", like being not fixed in a precise direction in your ...being?....
no idea if it was "not yet" defined, like "still young", or also not defined fullstop, like "being not fish nor meat " (italian untranslatable i suppose).
(given they talked about me, i suppose both.)
not sure i believe in the whole subject, though, i just report what i've been told.

I'm going to agree here and say I'm stuck for a conclusion.

I think it's possible that there's something like an aura that we can't quite fully explain scientifically yet. http://thiaoouba.com/seeau.htm is definetly worth looking at, though I'm not sure I totally believe everything put forth.

Yeah...well, I've learned about auras today.
