I thought about "the law of attraction" - and it made me think - if this is really possible, could reality be no different than an extremely difficult lucid dream where we would have absolutely no control at all?
I also have a theory about why this would occur, and why dreams are so easy to control and why reality itself is not. My theory is - assuming that the universal subconscious is actually a very real thing, the universal subconscious must accept your thought and make it a reality - meaning you cannot directly force an event to happen like in a lucid dream because it would not be allowed. I'm not sure if I am making much sense so an example is below.
For example, I want to go the mall with my friend right now. In relevance to everyone else, this event is so irrelevant to their lives that it is automatically accepted among the universal subconscious except for one person - my friend. If my friend is busy, this one "no" inside of the universal subconcious makes this event unable to happen. No matter how hard I try to "will" this event to happen - it's just not happening, the rules are already set. Take this same scenario and make it a dream. Because I am the only one in my dream world, it is just me, and my own subconscious. In my dream world, I can go the mall with my "friend" and will it to happen because from my subconcious point of view, it is ok for this happen. I can easily change the rules because there is no universal subconscious where everything has to align properly for a certain event to happen. It is just me, and no one else is affecting the world that I experience in a dream.
May also explain why some lucids are hard to control for no reason. Maybe you are actually sharing a dream with a few people without knowing it - and this few amount of subconscious(s) amounts to a miniture "dream subconscious" consisting of the subconscious of everyone participating in the dream, and specific (though not many) "rules" are set. For a rule to broken, the dream subconscious must be in agreement that this "event" is ok to happen. It's still easy to walk through walls, or fly, because usually you not be directly affecting anyone else.
But then you may ask, why in a room where no is around for miles, can I not alter reality just inside of the room temporarily? Your own subconscious would pretty saying "its not ok" because we are so wired into this physical existance our subconscious could never accept something like that really happening.
However, you can influence an event far into the future. Maybe this is how the "law of attraction" works. You think about something, and this thought is thrown into the universal subconscious, and because there are so many people that you directly affect, and they directly affect you, the alignment for this event to happen would take some time. This would also mean that there has to be some kind of external driving force (God, or some metaphysical force), or maybe the universal subconscious itself is the driving force. This would also mean that other people are real, and that we are not alone.

Now this isn't post trying to say that reality is a dream, life is pointless. This theory would suggest that reality is one giant shared dream, and because of that, life in this reality would still matter, because we are affecting other people. Our actions affect others, unlike in a dream. It's just one of my crazy theories trying to explain how reality/dreams coincide with eachother.
Hope I got my point across. It's not something I believe, but something (a possibility) I just thought about like 10 minutes ago
