Thread: i pulled my friend out of his dream and into my lucid dream

I think its a spiritual thing. I don't think its normal. Or healthy. But I said yes because i think it might be possible.

Are you close to this person?

It sounds kind of like the links siamese twins are said to have..when one gets scared the other one does too, even if they are somewhere else in the world.

Im just curious why you think it won't be healthy? do you think its dangerous?

Well. I am a bit skeptical still, but if it is real and does work i think that having control over others in a dream state could be a shocking experience for them. While sometimes you may both be experienced dreamers, often times it may not be like that. Assume some dreaming noob suddenly comes to the realization that they are dreaming are being pulled into another dream, it could be a very shocking experience.

Thats if it does work. Which i dunno.

I don't think anyone has this ability.

Not to mention that if such an ability existed one would have absolutly no right to invade someone's dream unless invited.

i know there are alot of ethical implications in this topic, but i tried again this morning while i was partly lucid and partly dreaming (day dreaming) as an experiment to see if it works under mildlucidity personally i dont believe that it will work this time because i dont think there was anyone on the receiving end, but i willl continue to post, and if it works again for me thats enough proof that its possible...

Well if a terrrrrorist is about to attack our safety, then wouldn't you want his dreams invaded? I mean, its a question of national security.

But seriously, that "see how they deal with nightmares" thing you said is seriously wrong, dont ever do that.

It is possible, and it can be dangerous. Been there, done that -- still not fully recovered from the injury. There's a part of the astral plane that my friends and I know as the Dream Scape. The structure is very much like the internet, but instead of computers, it is a network of mind scapes, or astral constructs. Entering someone else's mindscape can be hazardous. The laws of reality are different in each one, and if you don't know the ropes, you can get yourself hurt. I know of a couple people (indirectly through a friend) that have even lost their lives there. Tread ye carefully. If you're really interested, I can give you a few tips for protecting yourself, but it's not fool-proof. I can personally attest to that.

There's lots of information on dream sharing there and on other parts of the forum. You might be interested in signing up for the dream sharing experiement going on in the research team.

I recently saw Batman Begins and I really liked one thought in it - "It's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you." If terrorizing people and putting them into nightmares was really the first thought that stroke you then I don't think you should be thinking about upgrading your lucid level. Then again, it's anybody's own business, so upgrade away...

Doesn't that seem a little dangerous? The way you speak of it, you weren't out on some mind-intraweb, but within your own mind at the time that you pulled your companion in. Does that mean that his subconcious mind was actual inside your own? What if your dream spiraled into a nightmare, and it involved things that the other party had never even imagined. Could that not have horrible effects on them? Or maybe he brings something along with him that you yourself had never imagined. Incompatible software?
Anyway, that's about it. Oh, and one last thing.
What if you wake up before he does? Probably nothing, but some rough things come to mind that could possibly occur.

it may be dangerous but it is needed to discover more about the subject of dream invading, and i have told my friends in advance that i may invade there dreams, they all agreed, and when i find out more about this topic, i will be able to make it safer, i will post my findings on this board, visit my dream jorunal for a detailed account of these dreams, the link is in the bar below...

nice u know this,but i think if u don't think and ur not carful,u can get hurt in this,all of this,LDing,astral world,and crap,it was allways there,we where only uniwolved to notice them,it's not unhalthy,but it is werry important,two days ago,i wanted to make a thread simular to this,trough this we can acheve dream shering,if i cloud LD,i wloud have done this a long time ago,and if u want i can tell u guys how to invite me in ur dream,or almost anyone else,so if any of u want i'll tell u how to invite me becous i want to "risk it",and plz,don't mess me up

What he first thought he would do doenst have anything with his lucid level to do, its his personality or way of thinking, why cant one have some fun, im sure that wud be one thought that wud occur

i perfectly agree with you demon, and to set the record straight that wasnt the first thought that came into my head, my first thought was "wouldnt it be cool to hang out withy friends in the dream world..."

The whole idea of dream sharing sounds really interesting to me, depending on what it is used for. Terrorising other people's dreams definitely isn't a great use for it, but helping other people or just hanging out with friends would be. My question is, how do you pull people into your dreams? How do u get into theirs? I think its possible, but I don't understand how you would do it?

I've thought of trying it, but I don't want to hurt someone in the process so i've chosen not to so far.

it is impossible to explain shared dreams, because they defy the laws of science, but who knows, the laws of science that we have been taught may have been false, and maybe there is more to the laws that meets the eye, or maybe there are really no laws and because we cant comprehend that we make ourselves think that there are laws...

Im sure theres ALOT more to dreaming than we currently know, and the laws of science are only restricted to waht we know, i think this stuff is fully possible.

i know what you mean, personally i believe anything is possible, but it just takes longer to happen here than it does in the dream world.
