      astral projection experiment...

      after wondering for some time whether there is any real merit to accounts of "astral projection", i have decided to test the possibility of its reality with a simple experiment.

      i shuffled a new pack of cards well and picked a single card..i placed this card on top of my closet door, face up, about half a foot above my line of vision, where i cannot possibly see it.

      as i have WILDed into my room all but one or two of the many times (usually in a manner prototypical of an "OBE" or "astral projection"), i figure i might as well see if i can find the card while physically stationary, and correctly identify it upon waking.

      mind you, the odds are one in 54 (jokers included) , but it would still be compelling. it'd be cool if others wish to try the same experiment and post any results (either positive or negative).

      if there is any success i plan to have a friend write a random word on a piece of paper, and will place this face up in the same location..

      i am actually pretty excited to attempt this concrete experiment, as i have had just enough strange "paranormal" experiences to partially believe success will be had.

      Sounds quite interesting, I'd definitely like to hear how it goes, success or failure.

      I myself am practicing WILD techniques each night, mixed with some short and basic yoga concentration/visualization practices to help WILD along, with the eventual goal of testing objectivity in the same way you describe.

      If tests all fail, it may indicate the perplexing hypothesis of having to "wake up further" from within the lowest state of astral projection/lucidity/oobe itself in order to acheive further objectivity.

      good luck with your experiment.

      You might also want to do the digital clock RC. (Look at it twice and see if numbers change).

      I'd read this experiment being done in some lab and have been wanting to try it ever since. Thanks for the reminder, wombing.
      I figure nows a good time because we are rolling into a new month, and 30 days will give me time enough to slack off a litle (like I just know I'm going to do, haha,) and still have enough time to actually put in some good effort. I'll post my results with it, periodically.

      Since the Astral Plane is influenced by thought, wouldn't that hinder your chances or guessing it? I mean, if you try to guess beforehand, it could influence what you see.

      However, and RTZ projection... now that should provide accurate results if these projections are real.
