Is it possible that if you were to enter a deep meditative state that it could---considering the similarities to a sleeping state---you would actually need less sleep? And maybe even not have to sleep at all and just meditate? |

Its possible to be able to only sleep 4 hours every night with certain types of training, but NO sleep is probably out of the question. Theres no way even a lower theta state can substitute for delta. With no sleep for as little as five days messes with your mind, quickly resulting in being institutionalized. |
