To be honest with you I'm not really sure I believe in time dilation in the way you're talking about. In Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming LaBerge suggests people could feel like they spend a longer time in a dream than passes in real life because your brain fills in the blanks where time should have passed. For example, if one dream scene is in the morning and one is at night your brain automatically assumes a day has passed, much like scene changes in a play or film. |

I have been thinking about time dilation lately. I'll have to do a bit more research, but it seems to me that one's perception of time can change - for example experiencing things in "slow-motion" during a crisis. So I wonder, if you experience this "slow-motion" while dreaming, would it cause both your perception and your surroundings (which are internally generated anyway) to speed up relative to the external world so the dream would seem to last longer? |

The horde isn't bad, we're just misunderstood!
I found some growing nearby in a few places - I guess it's a fairly common plant around me. Turns out there was some growing at the corner of my house. Anyway, it seems to work fairly well for giving me lucid dreams. Unless, of course, that's the placebo effect or just coincidence. I haven't tried the higher amounts that the guy in the video said caused his time dilation experience. I figured I should work my way up in case there are any side effects. |
