Hi Snoop, I'd say I agree with most of what you say. It may not have been clear what angle I was coming at this though. I definitely feel it is me and not some separate entity, thus the use of "self" in the term "wiser-self." I think that you would probably agree that very few people always understand why they truly react a certain way to certain stimuli without doing some digging. For example "why was I so angry when that simple thing happened?" Yes there is the simple answer of "they made me angry because they did such and such." However we come to realize, at some point hopefully, the truth that no one can make us feel a certain way in most circumstances…it is more about our reaction. So there are deeper answers that many times go back to very old experiences that aren't typically on the surface of our awareness/consciousness (the easy term to use is subconscious, though it is not a perfect term) and by digging down to the reasons behind the reasons, we tap into our "wiser-self." No, not a separate entity, but also not quickly accessible to most people without a little work at it.
